Pana is THE best donut shop in Indy! Everyone always recommends Long's, but I'm here to tell you that Long's doesn't hold a candle to Pana. I love their yeast crunch donut but every other donut I've tried has been equally as amazing. They also have all kinds of drinks and boba. I like and appreciate PANA Donuts. Very wide variety which I really appreciate and they stay open all day which means I can enjoy them anytime, not just in the mornings. I haven't developed a favorite yet, but I do always make sure there is a sour dough in the bag. These are my dad's favorite so I stopped to pick some up for him, and another box for other family members. Pana has been a new, well received and welcomed business in Speedway. It's located in the old bank next to Kroger. The interior is bright and cheery with 6 or 7 tables. They serve doughnuts, coffee, smoothies, Boba Tea and sandwiches. There are usually 2 or 3 employees during prime hours and you can get in and out quickly. The restaurant and donut case are always clean and tidy. It's helpful to tell them how many donuts you plan on getting if you know. It helps so they can pull out the correct size box earlier than later. They have a fabulous selection from regular glazed yeast, chocolate iced yeast, yummy apple filled bear claws, chocolate and carmel iced long johns with filling or not filled and more. My first time trying Pana was at this location a few years ago. I've been hooked ever since. I normally go through the drive thru but decided to go into the store this time. I was greeted. With several PANA donuts popping up around Indy, I was excited to try this location near my house. I went in on a Saturday morning and the line was pretty long. However, they were dutifully staffed and I didn't wait long at all. I was in and out with my food in 15 minutes. The donuts were moist and flavorful. I said it before in another review of PANA (on 86th street) and I'm saying it again. This is a REAL donut store because the donuts are made right there in the back of the store. You can definitely tell the difference versus a storefront presenting donuts cooked somewhere else and brought in through the back door. One of the employees at this PANA was shocked to learn this about one of their major competitors. As soon as I walked through the door I eyeballed what I've been searching for... Powdered Donuts! And it was a full tray hinting at freshly made. I tested this and it was conclusive. The first bite was a warm donut with fresh powdered sugar. I also found another style of donut that's becoming rare. A plain glazed donut with raspberry filling. I didn't have to "settle" for a raspberry filled donut with chocolate or vanilla icing. These were oh so fresh as well. My visit was at 12:30 pm on a Sunday and my donuts were fresh. Don't let the strip shopping center location fool you either. Yes, there is a drive through around back. A big sign painted on their front window points in the direction you need to go. To PANA Management: please build more locations such as Greenwood, hint hint. read more

These donuts, although they are kind of small are very yummy. They are just enough crispiness on the edge of the donuts and filled with just enough cream so you don't get all messy! They have plenty of variety when it comes to the donuts and even provide iced coffee with a cute sealed lid so it won't spill over! They though of it all!!!! I got the mocha it was so good although it is only 20 ounces I highly recommend it. Pana is great. Excellent Donut shop with a large variety. Small place and usually gets pretty busy in the mornings. Staff is always really friendly and welcoming when you enter the shop. The donuts are great!! Do Not miss the Cronuts! They are a combination between a croissant and a doughnut. Light and flaky and sweet. Absolutely my favorite breakfast starter. I don't think there any actual brewed tea in the cup. I assume they're using a powder mix. But I could I be wrong. It good just be that the amount of sugar and flavoring is overpowering the tea taste. Also, it could have just been who was working there, but they didn't ask me about sweetness level and that's a standard question at most boba shops because I'd rather reduce the overwhelming sweetness. Glad I stopped in today, they had Kronuts! Of course I got 2, part of the half dozen that I ordered. Also ordered a large fruit tea- lychee flavor, it's just so refreshing. Eventually I will try another flavor but I'm stuck on this one for now. They weren't busy when I got in, but the line formed quickly after I got there. My service was quick and easy. Parking was a breeze, with it being on a strip, they share a parking lot. Drive thru is also another choice for convenience, I have not yet been through because I love going inside seeing all the donuts. Kronut Chocolate Chip Bear Claw Cinnamon Roll Red Velvet (which I don't see on their website anymore) Of the ones I tried the red velvet was my favorite. I liked the kronut but it wasn't amazing in my opinion. Many of my co-workers on the other hand loved the kronut, so it's definitely just a matter of personal taste. I have tried their Boston Creme and Blueberry Iced Donuts. Both were good. I loved some slightly crunchy edges and very fluffy insides.

I completely forgot to take pictures this time and I can't believe I haven't done a review for here before now. However absolutely love coming here for doughnuts and boba drinks. We were the only ones in there so service was quick and top notch. My personal favorite order is the passion fruit tea with passion fruit boba popping pearls it's refreshing and well balanced. My go to doughnut is the croissant doughnut. It's soft and flakey and has the right amount of sweetness. It's sinfully good. My close second would be the cake doughnuts they aren't heavy and dense. Pana donuts came highly recommended and when I saw they had a south side location, decided to pop over to try it out. I like that they have some unique flavors like the one I tried - red velvet. 1. Picked up a race day chocolate old fashioned donut before heading to the track. It was good, nothing life changing, but moist and tasty. 2. Iced coffee was good with cream and sugar. Served in a boba tea plastic cup with the plastic cover on top (instead of a lid) and you need a giant straw to drink it. Not a big fan of bubble tea cups and straws unless I'm drinking bubble tea. I suggest getting regular to go cups with lids for coffee drinkers. 3. Shop was very clean. 4. A lot of donuts on display. 5. Website and menu claims there are grab and go sandwiches but I did not see any, especially a bummer as I would have grabbed one for the track. 6. Staff was efficient, but not necessarily friendly. I was served promptly and while waiting for my iced coffee, another employee asked to take my order again, not noticing that I had already been served. I appreciate efficiency, but, did not feel welcome. 3 stars because the donut was good but not life changing, the bubble tea cup for coffee, and lack of smiles or friendliness from staff. This is located near my mom's house, so, when I'm at her house I would consider visiting again for a donut fix. read more

I stopped in on National Donut Day (June 2) after 3pm. The store was quiet and the staff was friendly. I was there for the Yelp Elite event and I got 4 donuts. We left for vacation the next day so this was the perfect on the road addition. My kids LOVE donuts! These are so light & fluffy and full of flavor. I am not a typical fan of donuts, especially for breakfast. However, I have been to this PANA donuts more than three times which saying a lot. I love that I can go in the afternoon and there are still donuts to choose from. They have both yeast and cake donuts plus a great variety of others. My favorite is their cronut or butterfly shaped one. PANA started sending out coupons for a free donut with purchase so I'd go as treat to myself after grocery shopping next door. They offer a variety of drinks too, I've tried the Thai tea, fruit tea (watermelon with raspberry boba is my fave) and real fruit smoothie. All drinks did not disappoint! This is one of the best donut shops I have been to in a while. They have a wide selection of donuts, smoothies, coffee, teas and drinks. They have a drive thru, if you already know what you want and don't have to get out of your car. Or if you are like me and want to see the donuts that you are getting ready to devour then the store is open for carry out orders. The staff there is very friendly. The shop is very clean and there are a few spots that you can park out front of the place. I got a half dozen donuts and a raspberry smoothie (don't be thrown off by the pink color). They both were delicious. The donuts were fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed them. The smoothie was refreshing and flavorful, but was not the best I have had. It tasted like it was made from fruit flavoring and not real fruit. But like I said, it was still good and really hit the spot. A 4.5 rating would be more accurate for this shop, but I could not see me rounding up to a 5. I do give this place my stamp of approval and think you should check it out. read more

So I stumbled on this location thanks to a yelp elite event! I've been to I believe every location they have in the city, lol. One thing I will say about "Pana" is that they understand the importance of consistency. The donuts are always fresh and pretty, lol. The showcase and smell always make me want to order two of everything. This location had a fully stocked display case when I got there at noon. As well as a full crew waiting to tend the customers. I've never had a bad donut from Pana! This location is clean, staff is friendly, and service is efficient. At 8:30 on a Friday, they had a good variety of flavors, with maybe 1 or 2 sold out. Their regular sugar twists are incredible, and their cronuts are a close second. I was 3rd in line and waited less than 5 minutes. They serve both cake doughnuts and raised donuts in an assortment of different flavors. The cake doughnuts are thick, heavy, and delicious. The raised donuts are airy, light, and delicate. We couldn't choose which was our favorite as they were all so yummy! We found that their donuts are also not as sweet as other bakeries, which we enjoyed and preferred since we often find donuts to be too sweet for our liking. We tried the piña colada smoothie with peach popping pearl and the taro boba tea, which were also delicious and tasty. I'm not even exaggerating a little bit when I say that these are the best donuts in Indianapolis. You see, I am a donut fiend, and I try every donut when possible. I've eaten a lot of donuts in Indy. Pana Donuts are it. These are the donuts. It sucks that they are so far away, though -- past Beech Grove and almost to Southport. But, I will drive to Pana to get their donuts, because they are worth the drive. My go-to donut when I'm trying a new donut joint is the glazed twist. It's a simple donut, but it's easy to get it wrong. Pana got it so right. It was fluffy, soft and fresh (even though we visited in the afternoon!), glazed and chewy yet had a slight give at the ends. It was a perfect glazed twist. I don't even know what else to say to you guys except you need to go to Pana and get some donuts. So, I got a glazed twist, and my husband got a Boston eclair that he said was "beautiful." Who even says that about donuts? My kids got a strawberry iced sprinkle donut and a vanilla iced sprinkle donut. Now, my kids love donuts but they almost never finish their donuts. But these donuts? They ate them all. Pana labels all their donuts in the display case, so you know what they all are and can easily order what you want. I don't know why more donut places don't do this. All the donuts are arranged neatly and everything is visually pleasing. It's just a great donut shop all around, and I think other people agree because at least 10 people came in and ordered during the short time we were there. read more
