    Whole lobster grilled cheese sandwich

Tough finding local eateries open on Jan 2 and fortunately we saw the Panacea open sign. Cute and cozy dining space. Walk up to order. Friendly service. The lobster grilled cheese sandwich and just grilled cheese and veggie soup were delicious. Highly recommend.

Yes, like a lot of places, seafood isn't cheap, but you get your money's worth here. My favorite from them , the scallops! Plump and cooked perfect and a little sweet YUM!! If you're in Wiscasset looking for seafood, stop by, you'll be glad you did.

Friendly staff, recommended the mix seafood, which comes in an assortment of fried seafood of calamari, shrimp, scallop, fish, also got the regular lobster and lobster stew 1. Mix seafood- The plate was huge, lots of fried calamari, couple pieces of fish, tiny shrimp, about 4-5 scallops. The breading/ batter was really good. the scallop was so good, I can order Scallop by themselves next time. 2. Regular lobster roll- 8oz of fresh tasty lobster, I think I prefer my lobster to be hot rather than cold. 3. Lobster stew- wow the lobster stew was delicious, this was my favorite, the brother was buttery, creamy, fresh tasty chunks of lobster. This might be the best Lobster stew I've ever had. Must order.

Be aware, even though we were there on a Thursday and well past the normal lunch hour, the parking was still tough to find and the line was very long. In the end, it took more than an hour to get to the window to order. Once we ordered we sat on one of their deck areas and the food was delivered to us within 10 minutes. That being said it was absolutely worth the experience and wait. We got to chat with one of the owners. Very nice conversation. The lobster rolls and the plated lobster were generous in portions and tasted fantastic! The homemade tartar and cocktail sauces are great. The atmosphere added a lot to the fun as the line to order stayed constant. Definitely worth the visit.

Lobster was overpriced and had a texture like it had been frozen for months. It was way too cold and a bit icy, like they didn't even bother to thaw it before selling it. Carelessly piled on top of a piece of bread for no other reason other than to claim they "pile it high." Like, it's supposed to be a sandwich, not a pile of lobster on bread. The entire thing was tasteless while still managing to taste a bit off. Cash only. Great way to need to use an ATM on your trip because you'll run through it all here for nothing in exchange but a wasted two hours in line.
