Stumbled upon what I thought was a regular coffee shop, turns out it's a secret Taiwanese coffee shop! They have a delicious oolong tea latte and a lot of tasty pastries. I stopped here on my way to Ottawa for work!! Oh boy oh boy oh boy! Delicious French tortiere . I will be making a long drive here every once in a while just to have the meat pie .....also to sample wonderful arrangement of Italian dishes! OMG! I had a craving for some pastries and the concierge at our hotel recommended this place... I think we gained 5 lbs in the 1/2 hour we were there; everything we tried was delicious: ham and cheese quiche, butter croissant,chocolate chip cookies,raspberry Danish and a chocolate chip cheesecake and some hot coco that was perfection! This was a great find! The place was really busy and smelled amazing, that home-made baked goods smell is just heavenly! My boyfriend and I both got treats, which were still warm from the oven as well as some chocolate breakfast croissants for the next morning! My boyfriend could not wait to eat his but I had mine the next day as planned, it was still very fresh and not too flaky! We ate lunch here today and it is fun. We knew it opened at 11 and almost couldn't wait till then to go in and eat lunch. We had eaten here several years ago and my wife really remembered the meat pies and wanted another one. She was not disappointed. Along with it she got a big Latte. For desert she had a large Florentine cookie and she was smiling all along the way through it. I prefer simpler stuff so I got a veggie sandwich in spite of the menu containing salmon sandwich. I felt like lighter fare and the veggies were fresh, crisp and delicious including fresh mushroom slices, alfalfa sprouts, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese slice, mustard and mayo if you want it, along with chips and a dill slice. Very good on multigrain bread. I drank coffee and they had 4 varieties of coffee to refill from on your own including caf, decaf, and two flavored coffees. In the refrigerated area they had uncooked fruit pies, meat pies, kidney pie, yum, plus bakery cookies. I bought the peach and almond pie and to me it was underwhelming. Peaches were of mixed ripeness and tart, and not overly sweet at all. Normally less sugar is a preference of mine, but in this case it left the pie with somewhat insipid flavor. Not what I would have expected from a peach pie at this time of year. read more

We went here for breakfast the other morning. The staff were ready and eager to serve us as we walked in. Me and my mother ordered quiche (I had ham and cheese, she had spinach), my sister ordered a ham and swiss on a croissant. We all ordered lattes.They have take out OR diner in so we decided to sit by the window and people watch. Our food was out to us in no time. The quiche was delicious but teeny for the price ($4.75). The latte was HUGE and quite a steal for the price so I guess it evens out haha. This location also does tons of baked goods, cakes, muffins, cookies, brownies, pies and scones. They also serve prepared meals and cheeses (mmm). They lacked a little bit of following through on clean up once people were done, but I think it's because they expected people to leave their dishes on the tables, but us Canadians! so polite decided to bus our own table, soon after another table followed suite. Upon my arrival, I was welcome by a rude, impolite and unprofessional staff member, most probably the manager or the owner. There was sign welcoming dogs in the window, apparently it was not the case. This lady should not work in contact with the clientèle. They should hide her in the kitchen. read more
