The bread that I bought which was your basic Mex bread was dry, not delicious and for the $1.85 give it take that I paid per bread ( they don't even post the price )I should have gone next door to Cardenas. There arroz con leche, the rice was under cook felt like bunch of dried rice that had been soaked for a bit. I do not recommend. My son got a flan I didn't hear nothing bad about it but it's a cup and he shared it with my 2 granddaughters. It was left on the table a bit... it wasn't devoured. $18 for 7 pieces of bread and a small flan and arroz con leche that was thrown away. The place look clean, nice people. Lately, I've been on a chocolate chip cookie hunt and trying out cookies from different bakeries. My sister recommended the cookies from here. I purchased one cookie to try. From the outside, there were many mini chocolate chips embedded in the cookie. In terms of texture, the cookie was definitely crunchy rather than chewy or soft. Short answer: -1 star: Cashier rolled her eyes as I asked for the price of their tamales -1 star: I asked her for 2 beef and 2 chicken. When I got home and was serving my family and realized the cashier had given me the wrong amount of tamales that I had originally asked for. Needless to say, this really annoyed me. She's not a teenager working ata fast food restaurant. Their champurrado is insipid and their tamiles super sloppy to their point of looking disgusting. If I were so broke I would've thrown them away. The flavor was actually not bad, but I was already annoyed and disgusted, so I can't say that I enjoyed them. I drove all the way from Diamond Bar because I called and the lady said they closed at 8. I showed up at 5 minutes to 8, and the doors were locked. Me along with 3 other costumers were standing outside the doors. We knocked and the lady in the back waived us off and signaled 8 with her fingers. We said to look at the time because it was not yet 8 and she simply ignored us, rolled her eyes and continued to talk in the back with another employee. HORRIBLE service. Extremely disappointed at the laziness and disregard that we were shown. Plenty of bread was visibly left and I was going to make a large purchase. The owner and manager need to address. Update - we purchased a birthday cake from the bakery. They did not have the birthday decorations for the cake. We had to pick from other selections (for children) rather than a 55 y/o man. BAD EXPERIENCE! I went to try the tamales a couple of weeks before Christmas to decide if I would buy them for Christmas; The first time, they were overflowing with meat and sauce, and very fluffy; a little expensive $2.75 ea. but they were of good size and tasted good. I was pleased. I went back later next week to buy a dozen for my family, and I noticed a little less meat and sauce, and less fluffy. but I decided to order another dozen for Christmas anyway; they asked me to come down to place the order, and pay so I could be sure to have them for Christmas; it's 10 miles one way- but I did. I went on Christmas Eve and picked them up, but when I shared them with my family, we had open just a few of them and one had a very little cheese and sauce, and were no longer fluffy, and the worst was yet to come, I opened one and had nothing but dough; no meat, no sauce, so nobody wanted to try them anymore. next day I called and wanted to speak with the owner, but was asked to leave a message, and long story short, I was asked to bring the tamales back for a refund, but when I got there, the attendant asked me if she could open the tamales to see, and I agreed, she opened them, and proceeded to throw them in the trash, then she informed me that she was going to refund me for only the 2 tamales that didn't have the fillings, but the she had just taken the tamales (7) and wanted to refund me for 2? I told her "I should be demanding the refund of the $30. that I paid for the dz. but I was only requesting refund for the ones I brought back", so finally she did refund me the whole amount, but I resent the waist of time, the 20 miles driven each time I had to drive for this 1dz. Hit and miss, the pan dulce is very delicious if you are lucky and have fresh made that day. Sometimes you will pick some old pieces and when I say old I mean old by few days. This practice is not cool at all!!!, I don't know if this are owners orders to keep the days old bread for sale or is just the employees don't care. This stop me come here every other day because when I want pan dulce I want it freshly made at least one day old, NOT days!!! Finally a place to buy Pan Dulce Salvadoreno!! this is the only bakery in the inland empire that i know that has authentic salvadorean pan dulce which is my fav, they have the most on Mondays , the bread is fresh and tasty only reason why it doesn't get a 5 is because it is pricey...but besides that I feel happy now that I have a place to get my fav salvadorean sweet bread! The few strawberries in the filling (not fresh)...the rest of the filling was strawberry cream instead of fresh strawberries. Also, whip cream was horrible and the coloring so strong it left mouth stained for a while...it was hard to wash off...it was very disappointing and I was very embarrassed with our guest...the birthday boy did not enjoy his cake nor his cupcakes.
