We have been to a few Cafe 86 locations. This quickly became our favorite. The girl working on Friday was so sweet and welcoming. We were so surprised and pleased to see they offer a variety of drinks for $3. Shame on me for forgetting to get a picture of that part of the menu but from what I can remember, there was jasmine tea, milk tea, lattes and salted caramel cold brew. We got the salted caramel cold brew, a latte, a halo halo and a ube truffle. Oooh yummy everything was absolutely made to perfection. Getting these types of coffee drinks for under $5 is almost unheard of but I will for sure be back when in Rancho. The cafe is not easy to spot from the parking lot but they do have a sign to lead you there. It looks like a cool place to study or hang out, they have games and a few toys for littles. 8/9/2026 Went there twice in a few days, so combined the review. First and second time at this location. UPSIDE DOWN HALO HALO (with Ube Ice Cream) Been awhile since I've last tried this dessert and it was so good! Did pay a little extra to substitute vanilla ice cream for ube ice cream and it was worth it! You can't go wrong with the ube shake + ube ice cream + jellies + fruits inside this delicious dessert! It is in a much larger cup too, so this can be shared with two people. UBE CRACK CHEESECAKE The crunchy crust was a bit more coarse and had a shortbread sweetness to it. The ube flavor was there in the cheesecake, but you got that tangy cream cheese flavor too. Moist, creamy and sweet. Overall, I enjoyed it. UBE TRUFFLE This was very sweet. You got the ube cake inside which was like a cake pop, but much softer and creamier. It tasted like the ube, but overly sweet and the outer Oreo crust was sweet too. A little bit of vanilla flavor too. Probably won't order this again, but I will say the aftertaste was of ube and it was a pleasant aftertaste. UBE CRINKLE It tasted like a very soft shortbread cookie, but a bad one. The texture was too soft and it did crumble. The outer crinkle part was very sugary and sweet. I wouldn't reorder this. UBE MONSTER (MINI) Basically what is sounds like, an ube shake. It was good. The Oreo topping did go well with this ube shake. The ube shake is the same ube ice cream. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and nice, good service overall. AMBIANCE + SEATS Cozy and inviting. Lots of wooden tables and chairs for 4 people. There were outdoor seats too. Decorated with lots of Star Wars paraphernalia all over the cafe. Surprised they didn't play the theme song too. Lol. There's also a small area with games where you can play with friends and family. Bathroom was clean too. SELF-ORDER KIOSK You can order at the front register or order at the kiosk. I ordered at the front register the first time I was here and then ordered via kiosk the second time I was here. Both worked well with no issues. I go here specifically for the upside down halo halo. It's on the sweeter side compared to halo halo's from other places. Personally, I like it better. Their baked desserts are a hit or miss. Sometimes they taste like they've been in the fridge for a few days. Service can be on the slow side. Most of the workers are on the younger side, so I try to have more patience with them. read more

Cafe 86 in the IE and they offer $3 drink specials All Day Everyday! This a nice location and it's neighboring to Noypitz. My family came out here after having a family lunch. The parking is plentiful and easy. The location is fairly quiet and they have all the same selection of items as other locations I've been. They offer a kiosk for ordering but staff can also assist as needed. We ended up ordering a plethora of items for myself and my family. One thing that must be mentioned is they have $3 drinks EVERYDAY on certain drink items. That is an amazing deal! We ended up ordering some Halo Halo for my family, a Thai Tea, Ube Crinkle cookies, Ube Leche Flan cupcake just to name a few. This location has indoor seating and it's well kept and clean. Patio seating is also offered outside. My family enjoyed all the drinks and desserts. Everyone was happy after this visit. I'm happy to know they have this location in the IE. Visit 5/15/26- Was craving dessert saw this popped up on Yelp decided to stop by .. ordered the ube Crinkle cookies w/ the hibiscus drink and the mochi churro ube dessert . Everything came out accordingly pretty quick . The Ube Crinkle cookies were okay average . I've had other crinkle cookies from other bakeries that were more flavorful and softer and in other flavor options. The mochi churro ube dessert was alright .. the texture was super chewy almost like taffy and it tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with a tiny scoop ube ice cream . Ube milk tea is okay - it does have enough ube. Both milk tea have lots of ice, not enough tea flavors. The prices are very good during the special promotion. The cafe 86 is kind of hidden in the plaza as you can only see it when you walk past a juice bar. Decor is typical bubble milk tea, but clean and warm. Service is enthusiastic. I am now obsessed with halo halo. I've been wanting to try this and we were in the plaza on foothill and saw it was open so we went in. I don't remember which is which, but the flan bite in it, amazing. Coconut jellies, delicious. Boba was fresh and amazing. Will go here 1000 more times. Ambiance is cute with nice signage, tip jar, employees were friendly and let us know that it would be a few minutes for the boba which we didn't mind waiting since they had barely opened for the day. 10/10 everything. read more

I've been wanting to check this place out for a while so after a Saturday morning thrift store run with my girls, we decided to stop by this place. It's tucked in the corner behind another business, but they have a sidewalk sign out that helped us locate it. What a cute little place! We were welcomed immediately upon entering. There's a large menu on the wall viewable right next to the entrance. We had some questions about some of the items prior to ordering. So many incredible Ube treats! I went with the Ube matcha latte with almond milk. My oldest got the pandan matcha latte and my youngest went with a regular matcha latte. I also ordered an Ube pop tart and had them toast it for us. They have a good amount of seating inside, including some sofas and a nice board game collection. Seems like a really cool place to visit and hang out. The drinks are made to order and fresh--we were watching them whisk the matcha--so it took a little while, but we didn't mind. We all enjoyed our matcha drinks. The Ube matcha latte was really refreshing and not too sweet. The Ube pop tart was incredible! Freshly made, so much flavor and the texture was honestly better than regular pop tarts! There was only 1 couple in front of us when we ordered. Staff: Not exactly enthusiastic or welcoming when coming inside. On the plus side, they were not rude in the slightest. Price: The price can get high very quick if you plan on purchasing multiple items. My boyfriend spent around $80.00ish for the items he purchased, and I spent around $35.00, if I recall correctly, after taxes. This location is kind of hidden by "Tropical Smoothie", so it's a bit hard to find if it's your first time. Not 100% sure but it seems that this location doesn't have the same menu as the Artesia location. I ordered the Milo milk tea and it doesn't taste like the Milo drink I've gotten at other locations but this is the only option they have. It was okay and they also only have one size unlike other locations. It was okay. The Ube Milk Tea seems to lack flavor, but it's okay enough to finish. My coffee experience here was very disappointing. After reading the reviews I had such high expectations. I ordered their "most popular" cookie butter hot latte and it was not good at all. The coffee itself was extremely unappealing, to say the least, it tasted really bad, and had zero cookie butter flavor. I tried to drink at least half, for the purpose of this review, but fell short. I just couldn't do it. The young lady at the register was pleasant. It was pretty much a very generic interaction as I was the only customer. It's a nice coffee shop, in a good location. It was clean and well kept. I do think that most people would enjoy this place given all the positive reviews. Love this place. Ube anything desserts are always a win. My favorites are the ube cashew brownie and ube bar. Calamansi juice and Jasmine calamansi are my choice for something refreshing. The have a wide assortment of other drinks as well, and haven't had one yet that I didn't like. Right now they have their 3 dollar specials all summer on select drinks. The only reason why I haven't been there lately is because I'm in the middle of a weight loss challenge with my co-workers because aside from that? I'd be here at least weekly! Customer service is phenomenal, and when I was there the second time, they knew me by name! Very clean and welcome atmosphere with plenty of seating. I LOVE ube. So, I tried almost everything ube they had to offer. My favorites were the ube latte (both hot and iced), ube truffles, and the ube tres leches. The leche flan was delicious, although the cupcake/muffin itself wasn't my favorite. And the ube cheesecake deserves an honorable mention. I'll be back soon to try more items! I thought I didn't like Ube until now! I've been converted! My favorites were the Turon and the Cupcake with Flan. I'd like to return and try some of their teas and coffee drinks and the very popular Halo Halo. The truffle was really good also, it was very soft and moist inside and on the outside was crushed Oreos. The Turon Poptart has a cute and different presentation aside from the usual shape of an eggroll. I still like the crunch from the eggroll wrapper, but the poptart seemed like you got more of the jackfruit and plantain filling than you do in the traditional shape. Aldo, make sure to eat your Turon poptart warm, it's really delicious that way. Very disappointing was the Calamansi Lemonade. It didn't have much flavor, even with two pumps of cane sugar added. The ice also watered it down and it just tasted like lemon water. The ambiance inside is relaxing and quiet. The owner must be a Star Wars fan, because there are many SW memorabilia hanging around. The service was kind and warm. I'm glad to see a Cafe 86 in my neighborhood, as I've been to their other locations in the LA area. I've been to this location a few times already & it never disappoints. The first time I tried the Ube monster milkshake. I love how you can taste the ube flavor right away. Then you get some cookie crumble bits. This drink is perfect for a nice, hot day. I recently tried the upside down halo halo via the self ordering kiosk, which is easy to use. You can omit and add things to your drink. For my halo halo I decided to omit the jackfruit & got everything else. When I received my drink, unfortunately they ran out of boba and added extra nato (coconut jellies). Again the drink was delicious. You get the Ube flavor and as you continue to mix and drink it becomes creamy with the topped ice cream. The flan was good. Had a nice texture to it. This shop is a little difficult to find as it is tucked away in the side of Tropical Smoothie. But there is a sign directing you there. There is seating inside as well as outside for you to enjoy your drink or desserts with family and friends. I would definitely recommend if you love Ube! Came in for halo halo and ended up ordering the Halo Halo, Upside Down Halo Halo, and Mais Con Yelo. All three desserts definitely satisfied the craving. Service was prompt and friendly. The shop looked like it would be a cool spot to hang out with your kids. There were some tables and games in the back. A little bit on the pricier side, but not really when compared to prices of dessert dishes at restaurants. If you use that as your barometer then it's a good value. They do not skimp on toppings/ingredients and it was not just shaved ice with sprinklings of toppings. After a mixup with the website location which accidentally directed us to the corporate headquarters, the owner personally followed us and met us to the correct location - and then went above and beyond in a way we'll never forget. We love Ube and found this place when we went to the Optometrist near by. We were hungry and decided to go in. We ordered Ube Milk Tea & Ube Matcha drinks. We also ordered a Pastrami sandwich and chicken pesto sandwich. I loved the chips they came with. Staff was friendly and helpful. I think they should serve on paper plates for here instead of big plastic containers that we throw away and fill up the trash. Just a suggestion. I love traditional maiz con yelo, but this didn't satisfy. The creamed corn had a weird bitter taste to it, and I didn't think the shake was sweet at all. The only thing I liked was the corn flakes on top, and not even the ube ice cream because personally I don't think it fits in with the rest of the dessert. Could management taste the creamed corn and see if they might wanna switch it out with something else? The workers were alright, I used the kiosk but they still greeted me coming in.
