It's been awhile since I have been back. Everything is new, even the menu!!! I ordered the Hu tieu chon... my 1st time having this....actually first time hearing about this so gave it a try. Omg, it was delish. The flavor of the sauce is soooo savory. The perfect mix for this dish. Definitely a must try!!!! I ordered my usual rice with lemongrass chicken and beef, and as always, still so good!!! My gf ordered the mi xao don and it was sooo goooood. This place never disappoint me. Although it's been so long since I have been back, the service and food is still amazing!!!

Whenever in the area, we always come here especially during the cold and rainy seasons. I haven't been in a while so I was very surprised to see they've updated the entire restaurant. It looks very clean, simple but very pleasing to the eyes. We always get a big bowl of soup which I can never finish so I take home half of it. Broth is very flavorful and delicious. Meat is tender. Veggies are fresh. Service is fast. Free parking in the back of the restaurant.

Update; Their Prices went up, mostly $14+ and they've changed the look of their menu - no more pictures...and honestly, I don't like it. We love to eat out but I like to see pictures of the food because it helps me visualize and decide what I want to eat. Since their menu changed, it was so hard for me and my fam to decide - like we literaly took time because we were depending on the description on the menu, however, some of the dishes name were in vietnamese and that was even harder for non-vietnamese people like us. Also, while I was in the middle of eating my food, the customer on the next table walked over to me and asked what I was eating and she also told the server that it was so hard for her to choose because the menu was changed and that they also liked the ones with the pictures.... As for the service, it's the same - the staff here are always nice and helpful and the ambience, it the same as well, neat and clean. Food tasted great!

Cold night, perfect for a hot bowl of pho. This spot was conveniently on my way home from work, which made it an easy choice. There's a dedicated parking lot behind the restaurant--always a plus. The interior is huge, and the servers were very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the large bowl of Pho Dac Biet along with cha gio. The broth was clear, flavorful, and leaned slightly on the sweeter side, which I enjoyed. The egg rolls were tasty and nicely done as well. While nothing quite beats pho in the SGV, this place is definitely worth checking out if you're in the SFV.

I've been coming here for a long time, and it's been amazing to see how much they've improved and revamped everything over the years. The place looks great, and the quality has only gotten better. What really keeps us coming back, though, is the service. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and they truly make you feel valued every time you walk in. We always feel like VIPs here. Great food, great service, and great people--highly recommend!

This was our go-to pho for the last decade, but over time, the quality waned and we transitioned to Pho So 1... BUT since the new ownership, the tables and menus have changed for the better, as well as the food! Pho Dac Biet was $12 and Goi Cuon was a whopping ~$7. The broth is now clearer and has more depth in flavor. Parents and I are a fan! However, the meat:noodle ratio kinda lacking; it could use more meat. The sauce for the goi cuon wasn't our fave and the rolls themselves weren't bad. On a Tuesday afternoon, we got seated immediately as there were only a handful of tables occupied. Service is relatively fast. Will pass on the goi cuon next time, but def coming back for the pho

We loved this place! It isn't our first time here, but it was our first time experiencing this restaurant with new owners. We confirmed that this pho 999 separated from the one in Van Nuys a few years ago. We got there at 6:30pm on Thursday and there were a few tables. Parking in the back is easy. It's kinda in a shady area but the service and the food is elite. Our server Tyson (Tai) was great! He checked on us multiple times. I ordered a seafood egg noodle soup with a clear chicken broth. It was delicious! I couldn't get over it. The broth was unmatched. The texture of the noodles were bouncy. And finally, plenty of protein! If that's not enough for you, their noodles are unlimited. We will definitely return. We love pho and have been on the hunt for amazing quality. This place checks off all the boxes.

Not worth eating here. The food is just bad, nothing can help it. There is no quality control too. I have not been here in a long time, and now I remember why.... The food is not good! And nothing has changed. The egg rolls were probably the best thing, and even then, it was mainly filler inside. The fish sauce is horrible! Who the heck made that?! Must be old as heck? Bad bad bad taste. Even adding lime and garlic chili couldn't really help it! Inside is spacious, and we went on a rainy day, it should have been packed! Nope, it was quite empty, why? We should had known and just walked back out, but we tried.... The pho broth was weak and not great, so I asked for nuoc beo which translates to water fat, the fat on top of the broth, all the flavor.. still not great. The meat was not cooked long enough, it was very hard and chewy. We ended up leaving most of the food and just calling it quits to go eat elsewhere.

This is my FAVORITE spot. Consistently great food every time. The pho broth is top tier, and the egg rolls are perfectly crunchy and full of flavor. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the space is clean and inviting. I've tried so many pho spots all over LA, and this is the one. The broth is clean and rich, and the noodles are always cooked to the perfect consistency.

A local Vietnamese pho spot! I like that this spot uas had a nice interior remodeling! The lighting is brighter and wakes you up when you come here for a late dinner. It also seems like the TV was upgraded too. Ambiance is calm and relaxing everytime one comes here. Easy process with choosing what you want from their laminated menus. Staff here are full of smiles and bring out your food quick. It feels like the pork chop plate has kind of slowly gotten more bland, (same with the egg rolls strangely) but they are still yummy. Pho here is pretty adequate, I usually add more sauce and flavors with the condiments left on the table. Pretty easy dining experience and there's metered parking (but you need to pay, unless after 8pm!) plus a parking lot in the back.

I don't eat pho but my boyfriend does, so when he feels like eating pho I will happily accompany him and get a rice dish. Sadly for me this time when my food comes out my meat is cold, like it had been waiting out for a while. This was really upsetting on top of the fact that we waited a long time to order. However I did order some pork rolls and those were warm and delicious so I was happy to fill myself up a little with those!

Server guy was chill. The food is served in a paper bowl, unlike the nice bowls you see in their pics. Tl;dr: if you're curious, don't waste your time, bafang is open 5min away Preface: I KNOW it's mall food, but for a restaurant that continuously pops up as #1 on Yelp whenever I search for food around the northridge/chatsworth area, I'm going to treat it as if it were a #1 spot. Beef noodle soup: to be very blunt, this was quite flavorless. The beef was dry as bones and looked like it was sliced with a mandoline. The noodles seemed undercooked and it felt like I was eating al dente spaghetti noodles. I got a medium spice level which didn't even seem that spicy, just a lot of cough inducing chili oil with no burn. Pan fried dumplings were ok. It honestly tasted like it was deep fried and not pan fried. Unsweetened black tea: hands down the best of the 3 things in the combo, which is quite telling. Honestly you get a decent amount of food for $15. But to constantly take the top 5 for recommended on Yelp in this area and waste my time to even look at it, it definitely doesn't belong remotely close to top 10.

The service was friendly and the wait was reasonable. Its located in the mall which means that you don't really get much of a vibe from this place alone but of everything surrounding. The soup was not spicy imo, I have a high tolerance, but it did have a good flavor. The noodles were thick and soft but they lacked a bit of flavor. The beef was soft and flavorful with the smaller bits of beef, which resembled ground beef, were very tasty. The soup was good overall but felt a bit too oily. The dumplings had a light crunchy exterior and the inside was juicy but it felt just a bit too mushy for me. Overall a good place and I would return to try something else.

She's been coming here since before they upgraded the space, and from what I understand it's run by brothers. The family is really nice, and it definitely has that local neighborhood spot feel. The main reason she brought me was for their **bún riêu**, but I have to be honest -- it didn't really taste like bún riêu to me. It was still good, but the broth had more of a tomato-y, clearer base and felt like its own soup rather than a true bún riêu. I was also surprised they didn't have **shrimp paste** available for it, which felt kind of odd. They do have **bánh bèo** and some other Vietnamese dishes, which I thought was cool, and overall everything we tried was okay. I've had a different soup from here before, and I've also gotten it delivered, and I'd say the experience is pretty much the same across the board -- decent, solid, nothing bad, but nothing that really stands out for me either. That said, I'd still come back because my girlfriend enjoys it, the family is sweet, and there aren't a ton of Vietnamese spots I've tried out in the Valley yet. We stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch, and nostalgia definitely did not disappoint. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, making it a comfortable spot to enjoy a meal. We also ordered the Yuk Kalguksu (육칼국수) and Gun Mandu (군만두), and everything hit the spot. The Yuk Kalguksu came with such a generous portion that I happily finished the noodles, enjoyed some of the rich, spicy broth, and still had enough soup and beef to box up for another meal. Talk about a bonus dinner! The mandu was perfectly crispy and paired so well with the refreshing, chewy jjolmyeon. For us, a restaurant earns a spot in our regular rotation only if it checks three boxes: delicious food, friendly service, and cleanliness. Hodori easily checks all three. In fact, I came back after work the very same day to pick up dinner for the family (because one visit clearly wasn't enough ). As we were leaving, she pointed at my kids and shooed them away from the table because they had moved the utensils around. I was honestly speechless. I would never let my children trash a restaurant, and I would have cleaned up anything before leaving. To make it worse, this isn't the first time. On a previous visit, I watched this same older lady and an older man give my friends dirty looks and a nasty attitude over the tip, even though they had already left 18%. Charging around $35 for a single meal with rice comes with the expectation of decent hospitality. Instead, we were treated with disrespect from the moment we asked a simple question. There are too many amazing Korean restaurants in Los Angeles to spend this kind of money and be treated this poorly. Save your money and go somewhere that values its customers.

I love the homemade kimchi and takuan. I could eat both of these with some rice all day. We started with some noodle soup. Handcut noodles, beef dumplings and vegetables made for a comforting start to the meal. Then we got an order of dim sum. They give you quite a few pieces. They are stuffed with pork and Chinese and are absolutely delicious. We also got a half order of the Korean Fried Chicken. It was piping hot and very crispy. The kimchi steamed buns were next. They were large and very filling. Each bun was packed woth kimchi, pork and vegetables. We ended with sweet red bean steamed buns. These were also large and filling. A great way to finish our meal. A great place for dumplings and not worrying about leaving hungry. Great service too!

If you want to experience eating while sweating your balls, this is a great exercise. The side dish is really mediocre, some kimchee, and shredded cabbage with thousand Island dressing, really nothing special here. The king dumplings has no flavor, it is soft but when you bite it, there is really no excitement to it. The filling is generous but also bland. The fried chicken is just uber dry, some parts of the skin is pretty good, but the seasoning is weak. The beef rib soup is the worse, there was literally no Korean flavor at all, it's just bland in spices and flavor. Maybe this is just an ok place to hang, but the food is nothing to write home about.

They offer three versions of their tonkotsu ramen--Clear, Black, and Spicy. Of course, I ordered the Clear. Oh my goodness... this was exactly the ramen I'd been looking for. The broth was crystal clear yet incredibly rich and flavorful without being heavy. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly seasoned, and not greasy at all. The soft-boiled egg was cooked to perfection with a beautifully jammy yolk. The noodles reminded me of the ramen I had in Japan--simple, authentic, with the perfect texture and firmness. And the shredded green onions on top completely brought the whole bowl together. They added just the right amount of freshness and crunch. Game over. If you're looking for authentic Japanese ramen with a clean, flavorful broth, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back.

The food quality is artisanal and delectable and they are beautifully presented. My family always order the Pad See Ew, Green Curry, Crying Tiger, and Thai Iced Tea. The Pad See Ew and Green Curry are always good while the Crying Tiger is always a standout. Love the Thai iced tea, too! I suggest you order the Thai iced tea to go with the food at the same time or you might swill the drink until there is nothing left. Service was excellent. The staff exuded emotions of joy. If you see them smile then you smile back which equates to happiness. Food also comes out fast which is great especially when you are hungry. I like the interior. The lighting and mix of colors feel completely deliberate, structured and cozy. Honestly, environment can decide the mood. Price is reasonable for the experience you receive. The quality of food, the cleanliness, and the satisfactory service are all worth the price.
