Awesome food, great service! Let's start with the location: they are located in a small plaza at the corner of Lindley and Sherman Way. It is a very unassuming place on the outside but the inside is very vibrant, fun and colorful! You can't miss it! Entrance is facing Sherman Way. We ordered 2 teriyaki Ribeye over rice, tacos, crispy chicken, 2 Vietnamese coffees, and 1 milk tea with boba. Everything we ordered was 101%! Paul, the owner, did everything from taking the orders, cooking, and payment. Superman with a great flair for the grill. I wish I had taken a picture of everything but sadly we were famished and didn't think of it at the beginning. The ribeye plate came with a side salad, cup of rice topped with crispy garlic, fried vegetable egg roll, and the star, the most flavorful sliced ribeye beautifully grilled and seasoned! Vietnamese coffee was perfectly sweetened in a sealed boba cup; same with the milk tea with boba which my niece enjoyed immensely. We were sated and full when he gave us a free Hello Kitty waffle for my other toddler niece. This is the best breakfast croissant I've ever had! Freshly baked buttery and flaky croissant with bacon, sausage and a perfectly cooked egg, topped with diced red onion and cilantro and a small side salad. The service is great, and the food is also great! I cannot believe that I have never been to this place in the past, it seems that this place had seen better days, though. The interior decor is a bit outdated, and it's a bit cramped. I cannot for the life of me fathom what would cause it, but there is a distinct odor from the place itself. It doesn't prevent me from enjoying my meal, but it is pretty strong. Also, the unfortunate location of the place which is near a 7-Eleven and near a major crossing street, just made the experience a bit unnerving. You see homeless folks (or unhoused, if you want to be politically correct) lounging around, and you're left to wonder when the next riot or zombie outbreak will happen. Otherwise, the food is great, it felt like home and pretty delicious. It was packed with flavor, albeit the price is a bit steep. I was treated like family! I celebrated my birthday at Coco D's, and the service couldn't have been any better. The owner kept offering us so much free stuff that we had to start declining it. I fully endorse this restaurant. The problem is that everything on the menu looks so good. I've always ordered the breakfast burrito. It comes stuffed with so many different things like multiple kinds of sausages, a hash brown, and I even found a broccoli floret. It's delicious! And the orange sauce that comes with it, I just dump the whole thing on top of the burrito, it's so good. My friend ordered a shrimp salad, and the amount of shrimp, and the size, were both amazing. Not something you would ever get anywhere else. Both times I've been here, the regulars recommended that I get the steak & eggs, and it looks so good. I enjoy a juicy steak, and that's how my neighbor ordered and got it. Plenty of redness. But the owner is a real master of the kitchen and I'm sure if you tell him that you want the steak cooked all the way through, he'll do that for you- no problem. Came by here just on the premise of finding something to eat. However, walking in, we were shocked and delighted by the wonderful and exciting interior! How crazy that this place felt like such a hidden gem. The chef was super welcoming and friendly, we felt great vibes from him. We ordered ourselves each a BBQ plate combo with 2 meats each, which comes with a side of salad and rice. I also very much appreciate him for being mindful about the nut allergy my girlfriend discussed, and after going through the ingredients, he incorporated the right stuff for the acai bowl I also added! As we sat down, we admired the coziness of the spot and even the fresh fruits and vegetables being prepped by the lady staff. It's a small spot, with maybe 3-4 tables max, so I recommend doing takeout if it is full. My wife and I have passed this place probably a thousand times and were always curious but never got around to going in. Today we decided to give it a try and wow this is one of those places that I would be afraid to share on TikTok or social media in general to selfishly keep it away from people because wow this place is absolutely amazing. There is a certain authentic vibe when you go in and this place has really good energy it's hard to explain but it just does. Outside of the cool atmosphere the food is absolutely amazing. I got the breakfast croissant my wife got the breakfast bagel. Both were cooked to order and we also got a green juice and a mango juice which were absolutely delicious as well as two ginger shots. The menu is a little overwhelming, but in the best way possible because they have so much to offer it makes me want to go back more, which I will. I'm not sure if he's the owner but the person who helped us out name was Paul. And I'm the type of person that can really tell if somebody has good energy and Paul definitely has good energy. He put a smile on my wife and my face as well as cooked our delicious breakfast items and offered for us to try some of the sea moss and he just had an awesome vibe. Most items I feel you'll need hot sauce or some type of flavoring but can tell the quality is there. Also had tried bunt cake- red velvet and chocolate They also has sea moss- this is fresh pressed along with many juices! Ooo and my kid wanted banana smoothie with boba and I had gotten coconut. I just started working down the street of Coco D's and popped in. Paul is the owner, host, chef, busboy, crew one-man- show. If you are in a hurry, don't come at mealtime for a meal BUT come ANYTIME for one of his special blend juices. He takes fresh ingredients and extracts the juice perfectly. And if you have the time, come and have a meal. He made one of the best grilled salmon dishes I have had in...well, just have had! I spent some time on the drive home wondering "did he poach it and then grill it or sear it or..." . Anyway, salmon is hard to not overcook and I took a picture. Then, he seared fresh veggies in olive oil and left then crunchy and bright I'd say it's a hidden gem but I it turns out it's pretty popular, so call your order in if you're in a rush. read more
