Good to be back at WB to be in another production that will air in the Fall…read more First time for me at the WB Ranch location. Can't talk about it, but it takes a lot of hard working talented people to pull off a new quality TV series. Special thanks to the staff that constantly cleaned the restrooms during the day so that whenever I used it--they looked like they were just cleaned. And the food service craft people that prepared for me a custom egg white omelet with veggies for breakfast and delicious baked chicken, broccoli and potatos for lunch to power my 13 hour day here. This location has a special place in my heart because it has the, "I Dream of Jeannie" house and Stage 31 where the "Partridge Family" was filmed--two of my favorite shows from the past. If you are coming here to work, parking right inside Gate 11 is plentiful and has a few large tree covered spots. Just down the block outside the Studio is: Western Bagel which opens very early in the morning, CVS, a Pizza Place, and 2 Gas Stations across the street with convenience stores.

This is usually where we spend our Christmas Day, watching a film that has just been released, or…read morenominated for something at the beginning of "Award Season". It's a very comfortable theatre and good seats abound - even the very front row, which many people vie for. Of course, if you're visiting the DGA for a screening, the picture and sound need to be in TOP FORM. We have always had a great viewing experience here. The sound, picture, and staff top notch. The parking is easy, and even when overflow is in use, it's still easy to make your way across the street from that lot and into the DGA theatre. Lots of great photos of film makers adorn the walls and staff encourages you to view them, never shooing us away from the galleries. Bathrooms are well maintained and plentiful. We hope to see many more critically acclaimed movies here and always enjoy a visit to the DGA theatre.

If the Studios want to get away with something from us, that is robbery, that is socialism, communism or Dictatorship. Not a democracy. They are to siphon something. The new national headquarter will be opening soon in North Hollywood. You can decide yourself, should I join the family and be a part of the community in order to serve the better industry? If you just want to name drop or want to become Celebrity or crave to take a selfie with a mega star, this is not for you ( the active 8000 SAG AFTRA members-local alone in California ). Everyone has a moment where you wanna be and what you gonna do. Those SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA,Teamster and so many Unions are protecting each one of us from con-artists who rob your dignity or gaslight you such as my daughter worked with Leonardo, my son knows Christopher Nolan or telling hollywood is Evil because no one care about them. Let them punch the air ! Every community is beautiful and it has good and bad characteristics. While one can and does experience negative in the industry, to classify the entire industry as negative would be unfair. And obscure what the community is and offers. My other half is part of the Visual Effects Society and sometimes gets a plus one to many great events, screenings, premieres and so forth, especially during award season and FYC (For Your Consideration). We recently attended a three panel discussion with a lot of the production crew and enjoyed a post cocktail social with lots of snacks. Everything was well run, maintained and organized from check in to last call. The main screening room is thoughtful in seating though in most common fashion, not much room for leg room to navigate people finding seats in semi filled rows, standing up to allow folks by is definitely the way. Great acoustics all around and in every part on the LDT. The hallways are filled with incredible stills from television and film over the decades. Restrooms are pretty spacious and well kept up. A little large venue-esque, though this is very much a smaller and more intimate theater and space. Parking lot is easy in the rear off Fountain Avenue or Homewood Avenue, though not the biggest. Street parking in the area is available, though seldomly and usually metered and/or with restrictions. Definitely a great place to experience should you ever get the chance, including vintage equipment on display from years past (no photos allowed in certain rooms or places). Incredible lighting.

My only minor gripe is that the sound quality could've been better and a bit more surround/immersive, but that may have been the mix and not the venue. Anyway, it's a great place and I look forward to another screening there.
