Leaving ANOTHER one star review because after I FINALLY got a hold of them- they refused to refund our tickets even though the movie theatre was unable to show us the movie due to a power outage. Why did I think Regency theaters are old school? Wipe that memory clean because Regency Calabasas is putting AMC theaters to shame. I came on a Tuesday and did not know they had $8 tickets every Tuesday! It's the same deal you'd get with AMC, except Regency Calabasas has reclining, spacious, leather seats. The whole theater was clean and well kept compared to many of the AMC theaters I've visited in the past. I'm writing this review to remind myself to give things a second chance because Regency is definitely doing something right and I'm all for it! read more

Went with my wife and daughter, and one of our recliner seats was broken. The theater was nearly sold out, so there were no alternate seats available. Staff offered no solution, no refund, no apology--nothing. Even worse, the broken seat wasn't taken out of service, which strongly suggests they continue selling it despite knowing it doesn't work. That's unacceptable customer service and a clear failure of basic operations. Experiences like this make it easy to understand why movie theaters are struggling. read more

The screen in auditorium one has massive wrinkles in it! It looks like 4 giant shadows of pillars. During bright scenes it's horribly distracting. We couldn't get 10 minutes into the movie, walked out. Fortunately they refunded our tickets. But damn, no wonder theaters are dying, fix your screen :/ read more

After the Agoura Hills Regency Theater closed, we started going to this one. It's one of the most comfortable theaters to watch a movie. The seats recline and there are tray tables. It's just a really nice experience overall. The management and staff are AMAZING!! Recently, I made a tactical error and bought tickets and concessions for the wrong weekend. The manager ever so graciously remedied the situation for us. I was very sad to learn that this location will be closing at the end of the year. The last time I've been to this location, Regal owned it so it's been a minute! It doesn't seem like much has changed since Regency took over. I always thought this has been one of the nicer theaters I've been to and it still holds true. It's definitely not as popular as others so there's less people here (workers and customers). Kicked me out for no reason when I already bought a ticket. Refund only comes back to your card a week later

I go to this movie theater only because it is in walking distance of my house. However, it disappoints me that they charge $1. 50 for an extra little cup of jalepeno peppers. I spend $1. 50 on extra cheese as it is. It would be nice to get a sufficient amount of condiments to go with the amount of nachos you get as opposed to nickel and diming. Also I thought the sound could have been louder. read more

This was always my go to theater the few times i get a chance to watch a movie. This past sunday we went to watch inside out 2 @ 6pm. It was our daughter's first time ever at the movies. As soon as we entered the theater the temperature changed drastically. It was unbearably warm in auditorium 3. I went to complain and was told 2 other parties complained but was not given any solution. I was merely told that they'd tell the manager. In the middle of the movie my husband had to step out because he was sweating. He also complained and was told the same thing. Still wasn't offered any kind of solution or anything to make up for it. If it wasn't my toddler's first time we wouldve left and never came back but we didn't want to upset her even though she was also very uncomfortable. You would hope there'd be some kind of urgency or consideration from the staff but the lack of solutions or even a simple care was disappointing read more

For those of us that really miss Arclight Regency has done a lot to fill the gap. No commercials, decent concession stand. Clean theater with comfortable seats. They have an easy to use app, reserve seats. I was very please, I will be back and will be checking out other locations and will be making this my new go to theater. read more

Love the recently opened Regency Theatre!! It received a nice refurbishment. Still has the old school feel, but the entire place is freshly polished with all new super comfortable reclining seats!! This theater is 100xs better than the new AMC! They have amazing staff who greet you at the entrance and also when your movie is over. The theatre is spotless!! I only gave 3 stars because the recliner wasn't comfortable and makes loud noises. No lines! I'm shopping plaza! Lots of kids came! Eye roll Big theatre! Decent prices! Clean bathroom! Got a free poster! Lots of areas around this place! The thing is though I really was uncomfortable and it is quite warm in there. Be mindful it's nice not to need a blanket but it's a bit warm. This theatre is so comfy and nice. BUT I'll never go back. Was in auditorium 5 to see Dune 2 tonight. The screen had 6 giant vertical LINES going down it as well as multiple giant smudges and blotches. Any time there was a light colored shot, you could see the lines and shmutz taking you out of it. It's as if they put thought into everything but the movie watching experience. It was hard to watch the film as this was VERY distracting. I went to see this film for it's iconic visuals and it was ruined. Don't tell the director. read more

The theater was actually nice & food was decent, but so called manager "Christian" clearly couldn't care less about providing a good customer service. After multiple movie goers complained about a 6-year-old kid running around the movie theater (during PG-13 movie), now it was my turn. I explained to the "manager" name Christian, that there was a 6-year-old running, jumping, and climbing everywhere, the whole movie, (plus, the family did not even buy enough seats for the kids) he simply said "you should have came to me earlier." Not "I'm sorry to hear that" or "I'm sorry you had a bad experience" or "hey how about free popcorn for next time." I have had subpar customer service from employees before but its been a while since a "Manager" provided such poor customer service. I promise, I will never come back to this movie theater, its bad enough I had to spend close to $100 for tickets and food (3 people) but to also be treated like that by an unqualified manager who doesn't know the first thing about customer service, yeah never again. read more

The newly renovated theaters are pretty nice. Not a fan of dine-in style seats but the reclining is nice. However, give them a minute to get on track. It's under new management and it seems like the team there is still catching up. Tried reaching them through the phone and got no answer for several hours. Had to arrive to the theater early to resolve a ticket issue that could have been solved over the phone. read more

This theater is the WORST. I took my younger child here to see the new puss in boots looking forward to this new addition. First of all the staff was horrible as the ticket taker was rude and gave me a gross look as I was trying to pull up my tickets. The lobby was messy and filled with spilled popcorn. The only plus is the food is cheaper than usual but the staff completely ruined this experience for me. I was getting helped by this gentleman Ronald who seemed of putting like he went through something. I went to the theater to be greeted with a pungent smell in theater 6. The seats were comfortable but the floor was sticky as if they only swept the floor didn't account for anything else. I enjoyed the other theater that was in this real estate mostly because the customer service. It is said to see how another company can ruin such a beautiful theater. I will never be coming back here and take my self to AMC at least they offer a royalty system. read more
