I've Been coming to this AMC since it was Pacific Theatre after it changed after COVID!!! It has always been the same! Very spacious but can be more up to date!! Remodeling can help, but I love the nostalgia of it. Movies use to be like this, no recliner, no heated or cool seats. It feels good to sometimes to have the old school ways when simplistic and basic is what we all knew! Now don't get me wrong I do love the innovative movie theaters, but sometimes it's good to get the retro feeling. I feel if you don't like it here and it's stadium amenities it's not for you! Came on a Friday and business was definitely booming... so overall I have no complaints. I come here from time to time because it's always availability!! It's convenient right next to Northridge Mall and plenty of parking!!! I will come back for sure!!! My seats weren't that bad either. -Marshay D.

    Unacceptable filthy armrests.

This theater holds a lot of nostalgia for me; back in my teens, it was the spot to hang out and catch the latest movies. Fast forward nearly 17 years, and it is honestly shocking to see how much the place has deteriorated. Stepping inside is like walking into a time capsule that hasn't been maintained. The carpets are visibly filthy & stained, & there's a heavy, unpleasant odor as soon as you enter the auditorium. Almost like moldy, dusty feces. The seating is the worst part, the chairs are literally falling apart, covered in grime, and the armrests are in horrific condition. While these are the older stiff style seats rather than the new recliners, most of them are broken and just feel unsanitary. The screen size is also smaller compared to more modern theaters, though it gets the job done. The one saving grace of this visit was the timing. My friend and I went for an early Thursday afternoon screening and we were practically the only people there. Having the leg space was great, but it doesn't make up for the lack of cleanliness. Bottom line, If you just need a quiet place to see a movie and don't mind a ghetto vibe, it's fine. But if you're looking for comfort or a clean environment, this place desperately needs a major renovation.

I reserved my tickets online so excited that this location had matinee prices before 4 pm. We got our confessions and were so excited to watch the Gabby movie. Upon walking in I was shocked that no one had cleaned the theatre before the next film. There was trash, spilled popcorn, and cups still on the floor. No one wants to pay to watch a film in filth. Having to clean other people's trash to fit your own cup in the cup holder. Disappointed and will likely not be returning to this location

Watched a movie recently and I did not know they are now cashless. That's pretty inconvenient. There is a machine that dispenses cash or accepts cash and gives you a card to use? I'm not entirely sure but it makes using cash a hassle. Not a fan of that. Also the app and website basically went down that day so I could not use the gift card I had redeemed to my account. The person helping me at the register was really nice though and helped as much as he could. And the nachos were fine. Popcorn was crazy salty though.

Glad I saw Nosferatu here on New Year's eve. That said... The audio was a bit spotty at times and the seats were just okay enough, not all that comfortable. Definitely still dated in a lot of places with the splash of AMC here and there. I don't believe they have any plush rockers or reclining seats in any theater and because of this it makes me less likely to return especially for 2hrs and 40 minutes of film and trailers. I saw movies here before than transition from Pacific Theaters to AMC like the first Deadpool, a Conjuring film and various others. And cosmetically is a newer theater, but still has too many touches of the old. This AMC actually comes up/used to come up under AMC Pacific 10 in the AMC app and various places, but is known primarily as the AMC Northridge 10. Located on the back side of the mall on Shirley Avenue/close to Plummer Street. There's plenty of parking in a share mall lot. Concessions are right in front on the path to ticket scans to the main hall for the 10 theaters. There was good lighting to get in and out of the theater as well as throughout AMC and the staff was all very friendly. Not a fan of the restrooms. Room for improvement all around.

This is seat 13 in theatre 6 at Northridge . Seriously gross and demented

I went to go see a movie this was the seat I picked which I had no idea was this disgusting !!!! I obviously couldn't sit there !!!!!! This was in theatre 6 back row at seat 13 I know the tickets were half off but I didn't know that meant I would be getting half a seat...... Definitely contacting the health department about this because it really shouldn't be legal that's disgusting

Worst movie experience! Due to the most uncomfortable seats. Not enough air conditioning, and way to high prices for this crappy experience.

If you are handicapped, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!…read moreThey DO NOT take handicapped people into consideration when it comes to parking and accessibility. There are only about FIVE handicapped parking spaces among roughly 100 parking spaces. There should be at least 10 handicapped spaces available. As a handicapped person myself, I was very disappointed. I also personally observed elderly people with walkers struggling to get to the movie theater because they had to park on the other side of the mall and walk through the mall just to get to the movies. That is simply too much for some seniors and people with disabilities. Mind you, not every handicapped person or senior citizen has the extra money to pay for valet parking. And even with valet parking, you still have to walk a distance just to get to the theater. I am an AMC A-List and Premiere member, so I support AMC and go to the movies regularly. Personally, I will continue going to AMC Porter Ranch. It is convenient, there are tons of restaurants nearby, and most importantly, there are more handicapped parking spaces available. And this isn't only something the movie theater should think about--the MALL should also take a serious look at its accommodations for handicapped and elderly guests. Accessibility should not be an afterthought. Even when going to the social areas of the mall, accessibility needs to be considered. Is the social experience only supposed to be for young, able-bodied adults? Seniors and people with disabilities want to go out, socialize, eat, shop, and enjoy entertainment too! We should not have to struggle just to participate. If you are handicapped, elderly, use a walker, or have difficulty walking long distances and you want a more accessible movie-going experience, I recommend AMC Porter Ranch. AMC and the mall, PLEASE DO BETTER. Handicapped people and senior citizens deserve the same opportunity to comfortably enjoy a day at the movies, dinner, shopping, and the social experience. ACCESSIBILITY IS FOR EVERYONE.

Greetings to all film makers, cinema enthusiasts, and TV viewers:…read more I attended Panavision's Panafest in October 2007 which was very educational and very enlightening regarding learning how to operate the new 2008 film cameras, sound, and editing formats. While attending Panafest, Panavision showed several fim and video sequences where each cinematic viewer made individual determinations whether the film clip shot was either film or video footage. Pertaining to non-camera industry people: The movie making process is amping up to the highest levels of cinematic productions. What does this mean to cinematic movie attendees and TV viewers? The visual images shown on-screen will be more crisp, clean, and the colors far more vivid tham previous films exhibited. So, get ready to view the new 2008 movies shown at your local cinema theaters and also, please notice the difference with TV shows' productions values soar which will definitely show more impact on-screen. BTW: Panavision's has a film retail store and a retail coffee shop inside where you may buy some coffee, snacks, film production T-shirts, jackets, and other film memorabilia. Have fun learning about film making at Panavision . . . I am confident Panavision will change your views of the way you see film and TV productions in the future.
