Recently took my son to the theaters for the first time and had a good experience! However, I was definitely missing the box office. I didn't love that there was no one there to greet you or help with you ticket questions. We actually had a gift card and had some issues trying to redeem it on the kiosk and there was no one in site to help. Popcorn was great, soda machine was OK, not the best diet coke I've ever had. It's one of those multi-soda machines so there are tons of drinks to choose from. Theater was clean, picture and sound were great. Bathrooms were clean too. Tons of parking! Overall had a good experience but not getting to talk to a human when purchasing tickets definitely took away from the movie experience. It's been a while since I've been to the theaters, so this might be standard practice now. I just think they might still need a staff member up front to help people with the kiosk. read more

Love how big their theatre rooms are, I enjoy the restaurants around the area however I will say I wish the theatre itself offered more food selections a bar even & I wish they had reclined seats. Can't complain about the employees they're all very kind and helpful. read more

Perhaps the most dirty, disgusting theater in the entire AMC Los Angeles chain. The seats are crushed with absolutely no padding left. The armrest and the headrests look like the floor of a gas station. How AMC continues to operate this place without even the decency of steam cleaning the seats. It's a filthy pig stye and should be shut down by the board of health. It's a shame because simply replacing the seats would be a huge step forward, but obviously the chain has abandoned this theater. I say knock it down and put up a Sephora. It's an embarrassment! UPDATE: Glad AMC responds to these posts but has been issuing the same empty corporate speak for over a year, with no plan to clean or revamp this theater. So empty words. read more

I've Been coming to this AMC since it was Pacific Theatre after it changed after COVID!!! It has always been the same! Very spacious but can be more up to date!! Remodeling can help, but I love the nostalgia of it. Movies use to be like this, no recliner, no heated or cool seats. It feels good to sometimes to have the old school ways when simplistic and basic is what we all knew! Now don't get me wrong I do love the innovative movie theaters, but sometimes it's good to get the retro feeling. I feel if you don't like it here and it's stadium amenities it's not for you! Came on a Friday and business was definitely booming... so overall I have no complaints. I come here from time to time because it's always availability!! This theater holds a lot of nostalgia for me; back in my teens, it was the spot to hang out and catch the latest movies. Fast forward nearly 17 years, and it is honestly shocking to see how much the place has deteriorated. Stepping inside is like walking into a time capsule that hasn't been maintained. The carpets are visibly filthy & stained, & there's a heavy, unpleasant odor as soon as you enter the auditorium. Almost like moldy, dusty feces. The seating is the worst part, the chairs are literally falling apart, covered in grime, and the armrests are in horrific condition. While these are the older stiff style seats rather than the new recliners, most of them are broken and just feel unsanitary. The screen size is also smaller compared to more modern theaters, though it gets the job done. The one saving grace of this visit was the timing. My friend and I went for an early Thursday afternoon screening and we were practically the only people there. Having the leg space was great, but it doesn't make up for the lack of cleanliness. Bottom line, If you just need a quiet place to see a movie and don't mind a ghetto vibe, it's fine. But if you're looking for comfort or a clean environment, this place desperately needs a major renovation. read more

I reserved my tickets online so excited that this location had matinee prices before 4 pm. We got our confessions and were so excited to watch the Gabby movie. Upon walking in I was shocked that no one had cleaned the theatre before the next film. There was trash, spilled popcorn, and cups still on the floor. No one wants to pay to watch a film in filth. Watched a movie recently and I did not know they are now cashless. That's pretty inconvenient. There is a machine that dispenses cash or accepts cash and gives you a card to use? I'm not entirely sure but it makes using cash a hassle. Not a fan of that. Also the app and website basically went down that day so I could not use the gift card I had redeemed to my account. The person helping me at the register was really nice though and helped as much as he could. And the nachos were fine. Popcorn was crazy salty though. read more

I came here to see the new spiderman movie and there was this girl behind me who kept moving in her seat which kept making a loud squeaky noise the entire time. It was really annoying and obnoxious. I would wish they can be able to fix the seats so that people trying to watch a movie don't have to encounter this. read more

I've been privy to seeing what this theater looks like when the house lights come on. And it isn't pretty. At all. This is a great location because of the high foot traffic from the mall and there is ample free parking. This theater is one of the ones that will host regular free movie preview screenings. Glad I saw Nosferatu here on New Year's eve. That said... The audio was a bit spotty at times and the seats were just okay enough, not all that comfortable. Definitely still dated in a lot of places with the splash of AMC here and there. I don't believe they have any plush rockers or reclining seats in any theater and because of this it makes me less likely to return especially for 2hrs and 40 minutes of film and trailers. I saw movies here before than transition from Pacific Theaters to AMC like the first Deadpool, a Conjuring film and various others. And cosmetically is a newer theater, but still has too many touches of the old. This AMC actually comes up/used to come up under AMC Pacific 10 in the AMC app and various places, but is known primarily as the AMC Northridge 10. Located on the back side of the mall on Shirley Avenue/close to Plummer Street. There's plenty of parking in a share mall lot. Concessions are right in front on the path to ticket scans to the main hall for the 10 theaters. There was good lighting to get in and out of the theater as well as throughout AMC and the staff was all very friendly. Not a fan of the restrooms. Room for improvement all around. read more

Meh. Ok if you have to go to this theater for whatever reason, it will do. But it is older and not well maintained. Being halfway between. 3 nicer AMC theaters makes me feel like you could easily go with one of those. We ended up here because this was the closest one that was holding the Summer Movie Camp promotion. (By the way it's a great deal, definitely take advantage before it ends mid August.) The other nice thing is there are plenty of restaurants around it. So you can make a whole date day there. Parking can get super busy with all of the restaurants there on a busy evening. read more

The staff are young and polite but this theater is rundown and in much need of a renovation (much like the mall it's next to). Seats are torn up and theaters are filthy. I had to remind the staff to take off the house lights during a film. You're much better off going up the street to the Westfield with the newer AMC. read more

I love going to the movies, I'm an AMC A-List member, and I make it a point to see at least two movies a month. But my experience yesterday watching Obsessions was incredibly disappointing. I'm especially upset because I grew up coming to this exact theater all the time as a kid back when it was under Pacific Theaters. I never remember the service being this terrible, nor the theater itself being in such a sad state of disrepair. We were seated in Theater 2, in the back right-hand corner of the left section (facing the screen). The lack of upkeep is shocking. The large sound-dampening board along the wall was completely coming off and was literally touching my chair. When I tried to force it back out of my space, it looked like it was about to pop completely off the wall. Then, the moment I fully sat back and leaned into my seat, the entire front end of the chair collapsed forward, causing me to slip right off onto the floor. Because the chair was entirely broken, we had to move down a row, completely ruining our seating preference. While the broken seat ruined our comfort, I am honestly most upset about the concession service. I paid extra out of pocket for a soda when we arrived, with my card clearing the charge at 10:40 PM. When I went out to get a refill at 11:30 PM, every single soda machine had already been turned off. What makes this absolutely crazy is that it was a Saturday night--one of the busiest nights of the week--yet staff was already shutting down amenities while our movie still had an hour left and multiple auditoriums hadn't even let out. I paid for a drink that comes with refills, but I was only allowed the initial fill because the staff wanted to pre-close early. It's a shame to see a place I have so many good memories of turn into a place with hazardous seating and lazy management. AMC needs to do better. read more

Omg I haven't been to the movies in a couple months and usually come to this theater, but I would have never imagined the theater to look sooooo dirty. 1. From when you walk in until you go inside the theater room everything was dirty. Popcorn everywhere, trash filled to the top, and the drink floor was sooo sticky 2. When we were going in we gave our tickets to the staff and she told us "hold on" and went on her personal phone and texted back whoever she was talking to and then got out tickets and ripped it and gave it back. Didn't even tell us what theater or what side, but it's in the ticket so we figured it out 3. In the theater there was people where we're just on their phone the whole time, taking videos, selfies, using the flash, and they literally talked the whole movie. I wish staff would have asked them to stop Will definitely not be going back here at least for a while. read more

Came to this AMC for a secret movie screening but I was surprised to see how worn out the seats were. There was literally no cushion in one of the arm rests - I could see the bare wood and it wasn't comfortable to sit through the showing. I definitely will be sticking to alternative theaters closer to me. read more

They close the concession stand only 15 minutes after the last showing even though the movie doesn't start for 30 minutes after the start time. Makes no sense and lying about not being able to buy any of the left over food. On top of that the seats are so uncomfortable. read more

I went to see The Mandolorian and Grogu yesterday. It was a 3D presentation in theater 6. There was a persistent buzzing/hum from the speakers behind screen. It was noticeable during the quiet parts. The brightness of the projectors was also a problem. They need to get more light on the screen - especially for a 3D film. read more

Staff here is always nice... never had an issue with anyone at the counter. You can tell they're doing their best with what they've got. I actually love the size of this theater. Big screens, comfy layout... it has the bones of a classic. You walk in and you feel like you're stepping into something nostalgic--almost like a hidden gem that just needs some love. But yeah... it feels kinda dirty. Not filthy, but not fresh either. Seats could use deep cleaning, floors sticky in places, and the air just feels... tired. I get that business might be slow sometimes, so investment's tough... but that's exactly why keeping it up matters more. This place deserves better. Still love coming here though. There's something about it that feels familiar... like your favorite hoodie that's a little worn but still hits. this theater never fails to disappoint me. everytime i go it looks like they haven't cleaned in a year- popcorn all over the carpets, butter all over same with melted icees making everything sticky. the theaters being spacious and having a lot of seats is nice for being able to book a last minute movie in my case, bc the surrounding theaters fill up so quick. but the seats don't recline and the cleanliness is not up to par so it's not worth it. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, irate isn't even strong enough of a word to describe how I feel. This theater is market and priced as luxury when all it is is disgusting. I spent $153 on tickets and food and the fact that you get 3 tenders with no fries for $13 is beyond crazy. I wanted a refund the second I saw stains on the seats that looked white and crusted, walked out when I saw they got worse the more we looked and I still want a refund. Finally after walking inside the mall, I decided to check if they are open. I went inside and there was a line already. It was taking a little bit longer so I left. Anyways I was just here to pick up my free Large Popcorn and drink. After work, I stopped by around 8:40ish. Wow!!! The line seems to be never ending. Patrons are in group and they seem to have a hard time deciding what to order. It took 15 minutes to get to the counter. And there were like 2 counters available so it didn't help as well. I showed my Rewards, scan my AMC stubs number and I was good. The salesperson gave my large popcorn and drink and I'm off to my couch to enjoy it. read more

The theatre was closed for years. I recently realized it was reopened. It is the easiest theater to get tickets out and the matinee tickets are the cheapest among the AMC theaters. Bathroom is a nice size and usually kept stocked and clean. Those are the reasons gave it three stars. As far as the theaters within chairs are outdated. They don't recline and they are the ones that fold in at the seat. They have old carpet that is dirty. The seats are stained and not clean. The screen and sound is ok but I saw a movie in one that had sound issue extra static and strange noises from the equipment. The food is expensive like any theater. Most of the upgrades have been done to the front with added kiosks and decor. read more

We had heard about "Sound of Freedom ", Angels Studios, with Jim Caviezel was the Star. Well-done show portraying Sex Trafficking rings and how it starts and how the USA is a major participant. I only come here to watch movies when Porter Ranch location is already full. The reason why is because of the overall condition of the place. Looks like it needs Remodelling since the carpetting is old and dirty, inside theater has a strange odor and seats are not comfortable and very outdated. The only thing I like about is that it's almost empty since everyone prefers the newer and nicer amc locations. Great customer service though and there's always parking and good restaurants nearby. read more

I remember when this location first opened as a Pacific Theatre when I was in college and it was great! It was my go to theatre for years. But, I watched as it slowly deteriorated. Eventually, it was in such need of a spit clean. When Pacific closed & AMC picked it up, I was hopeful that it would get at least a quick overhaul (new carpet, repairing broken seats, fix the neons outside) but nothing happened. They took years to even slap a simple 'AMC' logo up on the top. It's really disappointing. With that said, this theatre often has films after most in the area have dropped them so it gives you a second chance to see them and that's great. But the atmosphere of the theatre definitely gives the whole thing a 'this is where movies go to die' vibe. BUT...if you're looking for dinner and a movie, with this being next to the mall, it's a great option. Plus there's plenty of parking! Just don't go here expecting a top of the line movie going experience. Head further north to the Porter Ranch AMC for that. read more

This used to be the pacific theatres. Actually the sign still says "Pacific". The place is decent it is just really outdated, they should do some renovations especially if it is transitioning into an "AMC". The popcorn is delicious here and the theatre is a decent size. AMC didn't do much improvement when they took over this place from Pacific Theater. It seems all they did was added their fountain machine, icee machine, put up their AMC logo ans take out the little arcade games they had. We came here this afternoon to watch Five Night at Freddy was the experience was whatever. The seats are still not adjustable and not comfortable for the duration of the movie. The aisle letters has no lights or glow in the dark color so it was hard to see our assigned seats. We were in Theater 2 and you can hear the audio from the other room. The men's bathroom urinal has no privacy board like they did before so you're better off using the stall. I would recommend going to the Porter Ranch AMC or Burbank AMC instead of here. read more
