We saw somewhere this is. The famous " pancake to have in Sydney" It was good pancake, make sure to go to the location at the "rock square " The location on this Yelp is closed.

Oh my goodness, this place is so loud with children yelling and screaming, we had a hard time talking with each other. This place reminds me of IHOP in the USA, with all the sugary pancake flavors, that's why all the kids are yelling, they're on a sugar high! The staff is nice, we haven't got our food yet, but here's hoping for the best.

Great food, good vibes, fast service, delightful toilets - 5 stars Would recommend as out of towners

Had breakfast on day 1 of our trip and it was pretty good! The bacon was meaty, eggs fluffy and the crepes were great! My mocha was decorated with the frothy layer designed as a leaf and I sabotaged the design because it tasted awesome! The host was pleasant and very helpful with our questions about menu items. The morning was a bit slow and there were probably only 4 tables being utilized. It was a morning rush of people walking and biking the streets on a work day and as we concluded our breakfast the place started to get a bit busy. This restaurant is conveniently located walking distance from our hotel off of Sussex street. Situated right outside a shopping mall and adjacent to the Australian National Maritime Museum on Darling Harbour. We enjoyed our dining experience here and plan to visit again before we have to head back home.

Aussie Sunrise- that's not scoop of ice cream! It's butter!

The pancakes are thick and fluffy! And yummy! The best so far since we arrived in Australia. But a big scoop of butter (ice cream size) on top of two pancakes doesn't make sense. It's such a waste to put so much butter. At first I thought I got an ice cream and tasted it. Wow! It's butter lol. Anyway I spread butter lightly and trust me. I left a big scoop good for 10 to 15 more pancakes. It's so nice to have grilled pineapple and grilled banana with my Aussie Sunrise. It came with one large egg and 4 pieces of bacon. Their coffee's good too. If you're looking for good pancakes, definitely this is the place!

    Mexican crepe. So very 'meh'.

Compared to the one at The Rocks, this location just doesn't make the cut. The food is just okay, nothing great or earth-shattering. I would stick to the pancakes, though. Don't stray from the standards on the menu into the savory crepes or other items. Just not worth it. Just a very average experience all around.

Yeah... I obviously didn't like this one at all!

The simple fact that they serve all-day breakfast is a big plus for someone like me. And forget calling it Pancakes on the Rocks -- I'm all about Crepes on the Rocks! Terrific selection to choose from. And they know the "right" way to cook bacon. Busy place, so don't be surprised if there is a wait and a line out the door. But very friendly staff and good food. This is definitely NOT a one-n-done kinda place.

The food is great and it has the same kind of looks just like the original Pancakes on the Rocks in the Rocks. It's located in Darling Harbour so it's quite easy to get to if you don't want to venture down to the Rocks. The range of pancakes here are quite good, same like the original shop and I think I have tried nearly all of them. The pizzas are also good as I sometimes order them before eating pancakes. I have been here a few times with friends if we wanted to eat some pancakes or other food and we don't want to eat at the food court in Harbourside Shopping Centre. Also sometimes if we happen to be around Darling Harbour, I would take my friends here who are not from around Sydney as they want to try the famous pancakes. BUT, there are two things that are not the same as compared with the original shop. First: it's not open 24 hours. Sometimes I wish it will open more longer as it's closer to the south side of the city. Second: It's not a good place at night to study or read some books or work on some complex problems, which comes back to it not being open 24 hours. Other than that, it's a great place to eat and drink and its located in Darling Harbour.

Great food, but comes at a price. I can't comment on anything other than breakfast stuff. I went here 3 times, but only had different varieties of their pancakes. My friend had their steak dish and liked it though. This place is a little pricey, but if you've never been here, you definitely should go at least once. Their pancake dishes are excellent! For those of you who are Americans, it would be best compared to an upscale IHOP. The atmosphere is great for dinning at any time of day. Your food comes quick, after ordering; and the service is very attentive, well, until you get your food anyway. After you get your food, they disappear and leave you alone until you're ready to leave....good and bad I guess.

Chicken and mushroom crepes, must try!

The other bakeries in the area were more focused on croissants or cakes, so we decided on Emperor's since we wanted some buns! They had exactly the types of pastries we wanted... red bean buns, char sui buns, and the like. Despite being open until 9:00P, they were running low on buns around 5:30P and didn't appear to be refilling their stock, which is understandable. They still had plenty of dim sum in the hot case along with cookies and cakes. We took a tray and piled on nine buns which cost A$40. The woman at the front originally just grabbed a bag to put them all in, but when we asked for a box, she gladly packed them up with care at no extra cost. I tried three different buns. The bread was nice and soft with a bit of a chew, although it was also thick and denser than expected. The filling of each one was just okay and I sadly wasn't wowed by any of them. + BBQ PORK BUN: This contained larger chunks of meat whereas I would have preferred more finely chopped pork. Luckily, it didn't have much fat, but the filling was more salty and savory as opposed to being sweet. + COCKTAIL BUN: This one was filled with a sweet coconut paste, which was somewhat gritty and had an underlying saltiness. After eating the first half, the saltiness became a bit much for me and I couldn't finish the last few bites. + RED BEAN BUN: Rather than a sweet red bean paste, the center had slightly mashed beans with some of them being close to whole. The flavor wasn't bad, just not the sweet red bean paste that we expected. Since there wasn't another bakery nearby with similar buns, we weren't able to compare. Maybe our expectations just differed from what the norm is here, but sadly, we were disappointed with our selection.

Urgent Complaint - Appalling Treatment at Edition Coffee Roasters…read more Dear Edition Coffee Roasters Owner: I am writing to formally report an absolutely appalling experience my family and I had this morning at Edition Coffee Roasters in Sydney--an experience so unprofessional and hostile that it requires your immediate attention. When my husband asked a question about substitutions on the Big Breakfast menu item, your staff member, Lina, responded with curt, dismissive, and outright rude remarks. Rather than engaging respectfully, she continuously shut down his inquiry until he finally pointed out that her manner felt rude. Instead of correcting her approach, Lina escalated the situation to an unacceptable level. When he asked to speak with the manager, she announced she was the manager and then proceeded to take the confrontation outside. There, she lectured us that in Australia she has the right to refuse service, before abruptly refusing service to our entire party of four--despite the fact that we had already ordered and paid. My husband calmly asked if she could simply bring the food as ordered, but Lina became visibly irate, indignant, and combative. Incredibly, she then snatched the receipt from my husband's hand so aggressively that she scratched his finger in the process (photo attached). This behavior crosses the line from unprofessional to physically aggressive. This was not only humiliating and upsetting for our family--it is wholly unacceptable conduct for anyone in hospitality, let alone someone claiming to be management. No paying customer should ever be subjected to disrespect, public confrontation, or physical aggression in a restaurant. Frankly, if such conduct is tolerated at Edition Coffee Roasters, it places your establishment's reputation in serious jeopardy. I strongly urge you to investigate this incident thoroughly and take decisive action to ensure no other customers are treated in such a degrading and hostile manner. We hope you will take this matter seriously and respond with how it will be addressed.

I also reserve 4 and 5 star reviews for exceptional service with unforgettable dining experiences. The ambience is intimate but also noisy. I will say the coffee here and in Australia in general is some of the best coffee I've ever had. I ordered (2) espresso martinis, pancakes, and the sirloin steak breakfast with a side hashbrown. My pancakes were stone cold but I will say the aesthetics on it made it edible. The pistachio butter cream was to die for. My steak was ok ; for the price I simply just wanted more. I could be wrong but I doubt it was even 6oz. If you have this place on your radar be sure to make reservations. This goes for almost every restaurant in Sydney. We came in thinking it was just a coffee shop, but it's essentially a restaurant that also has a focus on coffee. They have a full bar and a window to the outside where you can order just coffee and tea to go. As for the interior it's dimly lit and sort of has romantic date night vibes. We essentially only ordered coffee and one person ordered a cake slice. The lychee cake was pretty good per my aunt. A couple people ordered the Coco Loco, which is basically an espresso martini on steroids with Nutella and something like a Ferrero Rocher. I ordered a latte and their Affogato. The latte was very smooth and BI is arguably one of the best I've ever had. Is the Affogato a cheat code because they use like a tiramisu ice cream? You could argue that case. You can also buy their blends of coffee beans, subject to availability. While the latte was very smooth, I can't say it was mind blowing but it was still pretty good.
