Latte!

Omg! The food was delicious. We were seated immediately. And the vibe was welcoming. We are a family of 6, from Atlanta visiting Australia for the first time. After our 15 hour flight - this was our first meal !!

It's been a while since I've been here, but when I was living in Sydney, it was one of my go-to places for weekend brunch. Location is super convenient no matter where you are coming from. Staff is super sweet and attentive. Food is always incredibly fresh. Hilariously enough, my favorite thing on their menu was the chicken Caesar salad, which yes I ordered for breakfast or brunch. My friends made fun of me every single time, but it is just addictive. Pancakes, as expected, are also amazing -- fluffy, light and melt in your mouth good!

Pancake on the Rocks - The Rocks Our first evening here after arriving late looking to get a late night bite, we found this place. I had the pizza which was not bad for a Pancake restaurant. Sort of easy to find, located in the "Rocks" area which is so nice and safe. Need a late night place in Sydney, look no further they srve a multitude of different dishes that will satisfy your hunger. G' Day Mate get it here.

don't even know where to begin with Pancakes on the Rocks--it was simply amazing! My husband and I visited during the week for breakfast, and we were blown away by the delicious food. The pancakes were hands down the best I've ever had, but what surprised us most was the variety on the menu. There's truly something for everyone here. As for the ambience, casual and comfortable environment with plenty of seating. While it wasn't too busy when we visited during the week, I can imagine this place being packed on the weekends, especially mid-morning. So, if you're planning a visit, keep that in mind and maybe aim for an off-peak time. However, even if you do have to wait, I assure you it will be worth it. The customer service was exceptional. Our waiter was not only attentive and friendly but also took the time to share his insights about the area and give us some tips for our trip. His hospitality added to the overall wonderful experience. If we ever find ourselves back in this area, there's no doubt we'll be visiting Pancakes on the Rocks again. Highly recommended for a delicious meal and great service!

Cute decor, friendly staff, customers seem to love their pancakes which have lots of dessert toppings. The pancakes are almost an inch thick. We waited in a long line to get seated. but the line went quick..maybe 10 min? It was busy because it was during the farmers market & Chinese New Year

Came for an early Monday breakfast. We had pancakes and eggs, sausage, and hash browns. Everything was fine. The pancakes were a bit too dense, almost too rich and sweet, so we didn't end up finishing them. Service was quick however.

Probably our least favorite place in Sydney- your chain food type. Food was decent and good but nothing to special. We got flat whites, the bacon and eggs and split the peanut butter pancakes. Which was blah by its self. It tasted much better with all the fixings

The food came out fast and the cleaning crew was on point. My server had an attitude when I requested tap water with lemon. She asked me multiple times if I was sure I wanted tap water. It was so much that I asked her if the water was safe to drink. She said yes and proceeded to ask again. When I replied yes with lemon, she said I will get you tap water like it was an insult. Let me tell you she did not bring my tap water, I received my food and had to ask the man who brought it to grab me a water. When I finally received my water it came in a kiddie cup. I am not with the games and I asked her out right why I was the only adult with a kiddie cup. She said that is what tap water comes in. I acknowledged her, finished my food, and did not tip her.

Food had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Thinly sliced cardboard would have been its culinary equal.

Does not open at 6:30. We walked a fair distance only to see no lights on. Restaurant should review information.

Looks like Pancake Parlour now reborn as Pancakes on the Rocks. Amazing food at far cheaper prices so now it is my go to for pancakes.

In search of a traditional Asian bakery, it appeared that this is essentially the only one in…read moreChinatown, much to our surprise. The other bakeries in the area were more focused on croissants or cakes, so we decided on Emperor's since we wanted some buns! They had exactly the types of pastries we wanted... red bean buns, char sui buns, and the like. Despite being open until 9:00P, they were running low on buns around 5:30P and didn't appear to be refilling their stock, which is understandable. They still had plenty of dim sum in the hot case along with cookies and cakes. We took a tray and piled on nine buns which cost A$40. The woman at the front originally just grabbed a bag to put them all in, but when we asked for a box, she gladly packed them up with care at no extra cost. I tried three different buns. The bread was nice and soft with a bit of a chew, although it was also thick and denser than expected. The filling of each one was just okay and I sadly wasn't wowed by any of them. + BBQ PORK BUN: This contained larger chunks of meat whereas I would have preferred more finely chopped pork. Luckily, it didn't have much fat, but the filling was more salty and savory as opposed to being sweet. + COCKTAIL BUN: This one was filled with a sweet coconut paste, which was somewhat gritty and had an underlying saltiness. After eating the first half, the saltiness became a bit much for me and I couldn't finish the last few bites. + RED BEAN BUN: Rather than a sweet red bean paste, the center had slightly mashed beans with some of them being close to whole. The flavor wasn't bad, just not the sweet red bean paste that we expected. Since there wasn't another bakery nearby with similar buns, we weren't able to compare. Maybe our expectations just differed from what the norm is here, but sadly, we were disappointed with our selection.

Urgent Complaint - Appalling Treatment at Edition Coffee Roasters…read more Dear Edition Coffee Roasters Owner: I am writing to formally report an absolutely appalling experience my family and I had this morning at Edition Coffee Roasters in Sydney--an experience so unprofessional and hostile that it requires your immediate attention. When my husband asked a question about substitutions on the Big Breakfast menu item, your staff member, Lina, responded with curt, dismissive, and outright rude remarks. Rather than engaging respectfully, she continuously shut down his inquiry until he finally pointed out that her manner felt rude. Instead of correcting her approach, Lina escalated the situation to an unacceptable level. When he asked to speak with the manager, she announced she was the manager and then proceeded to take the confrontation outside. There, she lectured us that in Australia she has the right to refuse service, before abruptly refusing service to our entire party of four--despite the fact that we had already ordered and paid. My husband calmly asked if she could simply bring the food as ordered, but Lina became visibly irate, indignant, and combative. Incredibly, she then snatched the receipt from my husband's hand so aggressively that she scratched his finger in the process (photo attached). This behavior crosses the line from unprofessional to physically aggressive. This was not only humiliating and upsetting for our family--it is wholly unacceptable conduct for anyone in hospitality, let alone someone claiming to be management. No paying customer should ever be subjected to disrespect, public confrontation, or physical aggression in a restaurant. Frankly, if such conduct is tolerated at Edition Coffee Roasters, it places your establishment's reputation in serious jeopardy. I strongly urge you to investigate this incident thoroughly and take decisive action to ensure no other customers are treated in such a degrading and hostile manner. We hope you will take this matter seriously and respond with how it will be addressed.

I also reserve 4 and 5 star reviews for exceptional service with unforgettable dining experiences. The ambience is intimate but also noisy. I will say the coffee here and in Australia in general is some of the best coffee I've ever had. I ordered (2) espresso martinis, pancakes, and the sirloin steak breakfast with a side hashbrown. My pancakes were stone cold but I will say the aesthetics on it made it edible. The pistachio butter cream was to die for. My steak was ok ; for the price I simply just wanted more. I could be wrong but I doubt it was even 6oz. If you have this place on your radar be sure to make reservations. This goes for almost every restaurant in Sydney. My server was Cassie who was very personable and even gave us tips on what to watch out for dining in Sydney.

We came in thinking it was just a coffee shop, but it's essentially a restaurant that also has a focus on coffee. They have a full bar and a window to the outside where you can order just coffee and tea to go. As for the interior it's dimly lit and sort of has romantic date night vibes. We essentially only ordered coffee and one person ordered a cake slice. The lychee cake was pretty good per my aunt. A couple people ordered the Coco Loco, which is basically an espresso martini on steroids with Nutella and something like a Ferrero Rocher. I ordered a latte and their Affogato. The latte was very smooth and BI is arguably one of the best I've ever had. Is the Affogato a cheat code because they use like a tiramisu ice cream? You could argue that case. You can also buy their blends of coffee beans, subject to availability. While the latte was very smooth, I can't say it was mind blowing but it was still pretty good.
