If you miss Chipotle's former glory, enter Pancheros. The most massive burritos, reasonable prices, impeccable quality, and SO flavorful! Even the rice was seasoned beautifully. The Tofurizo and chicken are unbelievable, and hands down the BEST queso I've had at a burrito shop. Every tortilla is made to order! So if you order a burrito they take a ball of dough, flatten it, and toss it on the grill. The result is the most pillowy soft, tender, chewy tortilla I've ever had. Literally unreal. They also MIX YOUR BURRITO FILLING before rolling! Every time! Gone are the days of 3 mouthfuls of pain rice before getting to your sour cream. It's all blended for even flavor distribution. Jose and his team are friendly and very efficient. The place is always clean and I've never seen them run out of something (last time I went to Chipotle they were out of rice and said they didn't intend to make more...) My first time trying Pancheros and it didn't disappoint! I was encouraged to order a burrito, even though I always get bowls at chipotle. My friend mentioned that this spot isn't like chipotle, so the burrito is a must-- and I did. They have dough ready for when you order a burrito, they put it on the flat griddle to make your tortilla-- so fresh! I had a chicken burrito with veggies, cheese, green salsa, sour cream, corn and tomato. It was so good, I believe the fresh tortilla and delicious green sauce gave my burrito an amazing flavor. Carnitas burrito bowl is amazing. Tender meat, great flavor, and went home with leftovers.

This is the best mexican place I've ever eaten at with the best burritos. The food is so fresh and the tortillas are amazing. The service is next level. If you come in a lot they know you and will sometimes hook you up with some free chips. The ambiance is wonderful with music and plenty of seats. The tables are also clean unlike chipotle. I was introduced to this place by my boyfriend and I must say that the food is delicious! It actually has alittle bit of a chipolte style setup which i dont mind at all. They actually have quesi which is a nice change from Chipotle! I was also extremely happy that they do mix everything together for you so the food gets an even flavor! I came to the Bloomington location at 8:52. The man working was RUDE AS SHIT. A man came in behind me at 8:56 and the crabby man came and locked the door behind me as I left. BEFORE CLOSE. There was two different groups of two people that came up BY 9:00 and the door had been locked for minutes already. That's four customers lost. And another one upset for getting treated so poorly. I used to make tortillas for a living and he kept pushing the dough press down so hard and fast then getting mad it ripped. He obviously didn't want to be at work and he obviously doesn't care about closing shifts. It's clear he doesn't want to be here because the woman worker kept laughing at him. Chipotle has been sucking ever since the beginning of Covid, so I thought I would give Pancheros a shot again. I was very disappointed to say the least. They give you a tablespoon of protein and when I asked for a little more they of course said "yeah that's going to be double if I do that" then I asked for an extra sauce on the side and they were going to charge me for it so I politely declined. City of Bloomington Inspections - formal complaint. I was at the Bloomington location the evening of approximately August 25th and they had the grill pulled back from the wall with a ladder behind it. They started making my tortilla and then a guy got on the ladder and started spraying down and cleaning the overhead hood with some typed of red-tinted liquid. I could see droplets falling on the grill and my tortilla. I couldn't believe what I was witnessing. The manager was standing right there. When I objected to what was going on to her, she initially did not say or do anything. Then she said that maybe the employee should not be doing it right now. You think ? I left without taking delivery of my burrito - by choice. I lodged a formal complaint with City of Bloomington inspections department the next day. I have been eating there for awile, sometimes late in the day but it seems like it is very messy by that time and they are out of certain items, which I have complained about before. Recent example - they had no vegetables left and the guy got agitated when I asked for some. Based on the most recent incident, I probably will not eating there again. read more

I usually eat at another national chain. This place is a bit different. It is cafeteria style order line. You get 2 tacos in a meal. They don't have Tabasco sauce but they have other similar sauces that I feel are needed to spice up the fresh food taste and give it some tasty attitude. read more

It's very similar to Chipotle, only they have queso sauce as an added bonus for your burrito or burrito bowl! Another difference between Panchero's and Chipotle is that for burritos, they mix all the ingredients together before wrapping up. They also have a patio outside for those who love to sit in the sun on a nice summer MN day. I went to the Pancheros located in Fridley. I thought they have very friendly service. They let me sample the steak and I thought that was a very nice gesture and the steak was very good and I ordered the quesadilla and ordered some things inside of a quesadilla and it was really delicious it was a much better than their competition that starts with a C. There is another Mexican restaurant across the street from them not to mention names but they are not on the same scale as Pancheros. Pancheros have fresh meat and vegetables only thing missing would be the cilantro. I will come and visit at least once a week. read more
