5/5 for the California burrito! It is so so good, you won't regret it. A very solid option and it hits every time. Quesabirria tacos were really good! Love the consomé and the tasty meat. Also, I ordered chilaquiles as well but was not a fan. I like chilaquiles with chips that have a crunch but the ones I got here were soft, as if the tortilla was never fried. Was it delicious? Absolutely, but just wished the texture of the chips were crunchy/firm. What's nice is that there's a market right next door, so you can shop while you wait for your food. read more

Parking super easy, located in a non busy area, and food comes out timely. Always great taste and the chef is a great guy. We were looking for a new Mexican food spot to try and wanted to chill out at home, so we landed on this spot! Strip mall joint with lots of space in the parking lot! While there are lots of parking spaces, there are not a lot of seats in this spot! I would definitely only plan on takeout from Casa Deli! We got a deal for ordering online, so check the website before calling in with your order! Service was really friendly when I arrived to pick up my order. The food was pretty good! I was definitely expecting a bit larger portions based on the website pictures, and my California burrito was mostly french fries and minimal steak. It tasted great, but I'm used to sizable protein servings, and this wasn't it! Food was very affordable, so I wasn't too disappointed. I don't know that I'll go back, as I think I prefer other Hopkins Mexican spots. Not a bad choice if you're looking for a quick take out spot that isn't fast food! read more

While waiting for my food I made the mistake of sitting down and watching what was going on in the kitchen. I asked for my money back and left. I will not go back, I do not recommend this place unless you want to get sick. One guy wearing gloves used a dirty rag to wipe the counter, used it to wipe out aluminum containers, handle money and food, transferred food from one container to another all the time wearing the same gloves. While wiping out the containers particles of food went flying out of the containers all over the counter and on food in those containers all with the same dirty rag. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I had to give it one star, because the way this is set up, It does not deserve even one star. read more

Get the Tres Leches Cake! The cake is porous, spongey which allows it to perfectly absorbs the sauce. I was so full from the rest of the food that I almost didn't eat it. I was just going to have a bite and save it, but then I couldn't stop eating it. My boyfriend described the Gyro Cheese Fries as a "pretty hot mess of delicious". They are topped with cheese, gyro, fajita veggies, tomato, lettuce, and probably more. Sooo good. We also had a burrito and taco platter. My favorite meat was the carne asada ok one of the tacos. It's flavor outshined the others. I would say some of the meat is a little dry, I'm guessing this is due to the abundance of meat options. Some options might site around to dry longer than others. Overall we were very full and pleased with the food. We ordered ahead and the majority of the food was ready when we arrived about 15 mins later. They did have to make the cheese fries once we got there which was a short wait. Super easy quick pick up. It looks like they do close at 6pm though so don't wait to order dinner. read more

Decided to stop in to see what this little gem had to offer, after the Hopkins Art Fair, as we had originally wanted ice cream and there's an ice cream shop nearby. Wow! What a find! This tiny little place has home cooked Mexican, Mediterranean, and classic American burger fare to offer. I had the fish tacos platter, which had three yummy crispy fish tacos- flaky fish, two tortillas to make sure it doesn't end up falling all over your plate, and a great Pico sauce. There was also black beans and rice, and a handful of tortillas, too round out the platter. The kids ordered gyros and said they were really tasty! The hubby ordered a chicken avocado sandwich, which he said was one of the best he's had in a long time. The staff was friendly and so efficient- you can tell when a place is good, because all the "locals" are there. There was a couple ahead of us, then our family of 4, then another couple walked in, followed by a few single folks... AND they were taking phone orders. Very impressive, given the tiny space! Food: They have an assortment of hot sandwiches, tacos and some breakfast (egg) dishes. I ordered a steak and chicken street taco, both were delicious! The chicken had a slight kick to it with a spicy red sauce and the steak was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Both tacos had very generous portions of meat as well. Venue: A small deli located in a strip mall. There's a few tables and a restroom. It's connected to a small mini-mart. Service: The new owner served us and was incredibly friendly! This was my first visit and I loved it! Please know that I am a very picky eater and send food back the majority of the time. I ordered the jerk chicken meal that came with rice, plantain, and a salad. The jerk chicken was not spicy. I was hoping it was a little spicy, even though I'm not supposed to eat spicy food. But the flavor and the sauce that went with it was perfect. The rice and beans were the best I've ever had in my life so full of flavor. In fact, I ordered an extra side of the rice and the sauce to go. The chicken in my opinion was just a little bit overcooked borderline dry. But I understand in kitchen if they wanna make sure it's cooked thoroughly. The plantain was nothing to brag about could've used some extra sauce or something on it or seasoning ; plain salad tomatoes were seasoned. The servers and hosts were extremely nice and friendly. On the outside this place would be easy to miss. So glad someone on Next door Gave it a shoutout. They have a counter order style inside. You can call or order online. I ordered online and my food was ready in 10 minutes. It was so easy, fast and friendly. When I arrived, Spanish music was playing and my food was ready to go! The menu has all photos of the food which I think helps. They also have horchata and cake de leche which I need to come back and try! As a chef it's an amazing opportunity to enjoy great food from places but this one is my favorite places in the twin cities:) First of all it's affordable not cheap but what you expect for a night or day of comfort food. It made with you in mind made with love and kindness and abundance. The strawberry lemonade is my favorite drink they serve it's sweet but sour just the right balance of both :) The fries are crispy yet soft on the inside and the flavor is worth it :) they will leave you craving more . The California burrito is exploding with flavor you can literally feel your mood filling with love and flavor. The jalapeño toreador always fresh and crisp with the heat still intact . Then the curio crisp and fudge filled it was something the manager gave us free :) Sure it was $34 bucks total but we got so much food and it's worth the drive or order from them and it's not all Mexican they have American and Mediterranean dishes too the fish tacos are their most popular dishes ... if you want my experience as a chef this place is worthy of one of my top favorite spots on my list of the best restaurants and the crew is super helpful and friendly. This little place is situated next to minnoco in Hopkins in a strip mall. It's very tiny inside with about 4 tables and window seating. I ordered the chilaquiles with green salsa and scrambled eggs. It came with a side of black beans and rice and topped with pico. Also included were two little tubs with salsa and the other with sour cream. All of this cost $7.99 + tax. The food was ok, it lacked some salt and the rice was kinda bland. But it wasn't terrible, just a straight to the point kind of meal. So I thought I would give it a try. I plugged it into my GPS and within a few minutes I arrived at a small nondescript shopping center. Casa Deli It's just a small place with a half a dozen tables and the counter it is mainly by the looks of it a take out Restaurant. The burrito with Barbacoa filling looked good to me. I ordered it to go and took it back to my office. In addition to Mexican food they also have gyro sandwiches philly Cheesesteak sandwiches and hamburgers. Wait how diverse menu for a small place. We love this place and come here twice a month or so. My husband usually gets the Cubano and I get fish tacos. What really delighted me is that we brought our daughter on our last trip. She's a vegetarian and said they had options for her, but sometimes that's a pretty narrow field. In this case, she couldn't believe how delicious her vegetarian burrito was. She said she wished she knew how to cook it like that herself and talked about bringing other friends there in the future. It was our first time visiting the Savage location. This is such a cute restaurant. It's nice and cozy in there. The staff was very friendly, and provided excellent service. The restaurant was also extremely clean! The food was freshly made and delicious. We tried the gyro sandwich and fries, the gyro burger, and the Philly cheesesteak sandwich.
