I would leave a zero star rating if I could. It's only gotten worse over the years and I think has hit rock bottom. The Cedar Falls location needs to shut down, clean house and re-open only if they can do better. Until then, I'll make the drive to Waterloo. I like the food but I can never get it in Cedar Falls with them closing whenever they feel like and not communicating it on any platforms including their app or signage on their door and in the rare moments they are open, having practically zero inventory so you have an option of one protein and that's it. Will never come back! When I first came in, workers looked annoyed that I was even walking into the building (I came in mid day, about 12:30pm). Right off the bat I noticed the steam table that the rice was in. It was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! The water was dark yellow, thick, and had mounds of soggy rice in it. You can tell it was not cleaned for weeks. The service was terrible! The workers rolled their eyes whenever you requested light or extra. They were also super messy, they kept missing the bowl and long story short the outside of my bowl was covered in sauce because they didnt even care enough to aim for the bowl. When I went to get my soda, I tried 3 sodas that were flat and had clearly been empty for atleast days. There was no ice. The whole entire building was dirty, tables, drink station, even the card reader was covered in sticky crust (?!?!). From the parts of the kitchen that you can see, the kitchen is disgusting too. I think both Waterloo and CF pancheros are not the best, but CF has definitely managed to make it to the top of my most hated list.... I think management needs to step in and fire the careless employees that they have. I also genuinely wonder how they passed state inspection?? The place is DISGUSTING. This store is something....don't go there unless you're prepared to stand for 20 minutes cause the workers are to high to move at a normal pace and take 1 min for every item you ask for, the worker walked away once my order was ready to get the toppings so standard there till someone else just came over to finish. The potions are SUPER inconsistent you never know if your bowl will be overflowing or barely even touching the lid when it's closed. Oh also forgot to mention they didn't even have shredded cheese at all in store.....how do you not have any cheese at all??so you're not able to get one of the 5 things they offer in the menu( quesadillas) so there's that. Pretty good experience here. Food tasted decent, and it was slightly spiced without being too hot or unmanageable. Was in and out very quickly, and the entire establishment was clean - including the bathroom and drinks area. (I've been told the Queso here is to die for, and you can add it to burritos and such, but I haven't tried it yet. The Queso definitely stands them apart from their competitors like Chipotle or Pablo's) While I'd still rather hit up Pablo's on Main Street to support local businesses and because I like their tacos a bit more, if I'm running short on time, Panchero's does much better in a time crunch and is located a bit more centrally for me, so I'll definitely be back in the future. PROS: -Meats are smoked but not too spicy. Chipotle has tons of added spices on their meat - which make them pretty inedible to me. Pablo's doesn't seem to add much spicing at all - which is okay sometimes too. Pancheros is a nice, happy medium. Pancheros adds heat through salsas - which I just pass on. -Staff seemed to do a lovely job being prepared for a line on a Monday dinner time. Virtually no wait, and food was done extremely quickly. I can't imagine this place getting too backed up like I see constantly at Chipotle's or at Pablo's. At the same time, the employees definitely seemed a bit laizzez faire about their entire job, so it definitely feels a bit like a cog in a machine. Nobody was rude, though, and I'll take getting my food quickly anytime. -Shares a parking lot with Starbucks. While it shouldn't really give them a leg up, it does. Dinner and then coffee to go? Yeah, I'll take that. -Burritos are packed and wrapped nicely. They mix their ingredients inside your burrito before wrapping too, so nice variety. Tortilla didn't rip or tear during dinner. -Pancheros has a rewards app you can download to your phone. Every $100 you spend, you get a free burrito (or similar item (bowl, taco, etc.)). That basically means that every 15 meals or so, you'll get a free one. Not bad. -They have chicken, carnitas, steak, and a veggie version. Watching carbs? Get a bowl instead of a burrito. They have burritos, quesadillas, bowls, tacos, and salads. CONS: -There seem to be a lot of extra surcharges on things. Extras of things cost more - and not just guac or sour cream like at Pablo's or Chipotle. I'm a lot more fond of the "Pay once for what fits in your burrito" model, and a lot less fond of consistently worrying about additional costs. -Their only rice option is white rice with cilantro. This is my favorite place to go for a burrito. The service is extremely fast, and I love the hours as they are open to midnight during the week, and 2AM on the weekends! I like this place more then everybody's local favorite, Pablo's, for the fact that Panchero's has queso to put in your burrito. Whatever you put the queso in, you will not be disappointed in. I like that they mix the ingredients in front of you while building the burrito, so that you are guaranteed a mix of good taste. I think the quality of meat is excellent. They have steak and chicken! Very good tasting and I would recommend you check this out. I don't think I would ever come here for dinner, but it is my favorite by far for a late night meal! read more

He then carried on and said they could remake my order and get that sent out to me ! I asked aren't you out of meat & he answered yeah but we can make some ??????! Wtf !!!! I asked for my refund he said that it would take a couple days to get my money back !!!! When he heard I was upset , he then suggested to get my correct order out to me and still refund my order ! I agreed and said what else is there to do. He then went on saying it would take 10min for my order to arrive. After 10 min I called again and he said that I would take 10 min again! I said ok and hung up. After 40min waiting I attempted to call again and ask where my order was but now no one answered. I called multiple times and no one answered my calls. 1hr later still no redelivery or refund! Worst experience ever ! They don't listen to your order if you would like something modified. The food: it's pretty hit-or-miss. I've had raw beans, nearly crunchy, and parts of overcooked & undercooked rice.
