Today my sister and I went to Pancheros, (At her request, "I've been dreaming about this for weeks" lol) We both got bowls and it was excellent! Way better than Chipotle in my opinion and not to mention their queso is so good! I would take home a whole barrel if they'd let me. The blue corn chips are delicious as well. I love that they offer Mr. Pib! Service was good, and we even got told about the survey on the receipt we could fill out for a free order of chips and queso next time we come in! #Score The store is lively and always clean. I typically really enjoy Pancheros. I work in the area and come here and use the app often. Things were definitely different today. They would not let me do half chicken half shrimp like usual and then I got charged for extra sour cream for the first time ever. Didn't realize at the time but I got double charged for double the meat when I should've only been charged for 1 extra meat. Probably going to be awhile before I comeback. May have to get my rice bowl at the "other" place if things going to continue like this here. read more

Dear Pancheros, I used to really enjoy coming here and it was one of my go-to spots. The food was always solid and portions were worth the price. On top of that, the new staff seems less organized and service has been slower and meat portions have gotten smaller. It's disappointing because this used to be a place I'd recommend to everyone. I hope they can fix these issues and get back to how things used to be. read more

Food is ok for the price but not a fork in sight. Plastic knives and cheap tiny spoons to eat the rice bowl. Spoons and knives don't work well together. I asked at the counter and the lead guy went in back and never came back out. read more

I've given this place a few tries and have been pretty disappointed. I've been to other Panchero's locations in Iowa and liked them...but this place just isn't working. The food that I've gotten wasn't particularly good. Tried a few different things...the veggies had clearly been sitting for a long time. The meat was dry. Despite being brand new, the place wasn't clean. Hardly anyone was inside eating, and the tables were still sticky. And then, despite everything saying that they're open till 11:00pm, we go in at 8:55pm, just wanting grab something and go... and the workers state that they're closing. Disappointing 1st experience at this new location. I have visited other pancheros locations in Iowa. I have had good experiences in the past. I ordered through the mobile app for pick up. I ordered at 11:05 am and selected a 12:30 pm pick up. I arrived shortly after 12:30 pm. I went to pick up my order at the mobile pick up counter which is to the right of the register as you walk in. I went up to the employee at the register and gave him my name. He said my order was not ready. I waited 10 minutes for a few other people to pick up their orders. I went back up again and let the employee at the register know my order time for a 12:30 pm pick up. He said let me check again. A few minutes later he gave me my order and apologized for the wait. My order on the bag said 12:23 pm? Appears my food had possibly been sitting somewhere for 20 minutes before I picked it up? I ordered 2 chicken burritos and 1 order of chips and queso. They were running a special in honor for their 29th birthday through their mobile app you could get 1 Burrito per person for $2.90 through August 15th. I asked the employee where the chips and queso were at? He said the bottom of the bag. I get to my vehicle and opened the the smallest bag of 1/4 the way filled blue tortilla chips I've ever seen. It was $3.50 for a bag of chips and queso. Both chicken burritos tasted really good. However, some of the ingredients I selected were not in one of the burritos! I didn't see any salsa at all! I asked for pico de Gallo and medium green salsa verde. My wife and I love the queso. I know this new location is going through grand opening issues and I hope they work on the issues they have with the mobile orders. They only had 1 employee making orders for mobile orders. I watched this employee make the food and he didn't seem comfortable at all. The employee didn't appear to know how to even wrap a burrito. Possibly staffing and training is an issue just like it is at many restaurants. The 3 star rating is for the overall experience. The food is good quality and tasted good! 4 stars for the food even with missing ingredients. read more

Nice alternative fast food with home made tacos while you wait. Definitely worth to try!

This place is especially good if you were driving past and want a quick snack but do not want a regular burger or hot dog. I would recommend, and do not forget that they make the tortilla's fresh right in front of you. read more

I have to say, when this place first opened it was not good. Terrible staff and my order was routinely wrong. I'm not sure what happened but this place has changed. We went at 6:15 tonight. Absolutely filthy food area, literally strewn all over from the rice down to the salsa. They were out of most salsa, the queso had a film over the top and had no fresh guacamole. When I say not fresh, it was brown. Really disappointed as we had a few good experiences before but this was just gross. Very unappetizing and the people making our food didn't have masks on. What a train wreck. I know there is a shortage of employees but when you got staff that just dosent care you are going to go down in flames. The lack of training and customer service was very apparent. Manager came out and gave the cashier change and returned to the back. Food pan were all crusty and empty. Scraping the sides of the pan to make my burrito. Poor cashier just kept saying sorry over and over as he tried to get the employees to provide items that customers had ordered on line and some that were waiting in the loddy I have been to other locations and have never seen the wreck I witness here. Everyone puts bad reviews here from when the place first opened with them having tons of people there to make it hard to run the place. Every time I have been here the staff has been super friendly and always given me exactly what I wanted. This place is super good and the queso is amazing just wish it had a bigger size! 10/10 recommend! read more

We decided to try ordering through their app. We ordered the burrito bowls and chips with queso. We live close by so we went to pick up our meal in 10 minutes as indicated on the app. Two different employees smiled and greeted me when I entered the restaurant.
