I love that the owners put the word "authentic" in the restaurant title because that's exactly what you get. No Tex-mex gimmicky stuff like you get at those chain restaurants. I knew we were in for a treat as soon as we entered. The decor was beautiful and intricate. I was no longer in Troy NY, I had been transported to a little village restaurant in Mexico. We were given chips & salsa to munch on while looking at the menu. I had the steak and my fiancé had the fajitas. Both of our entrees were served on hot, steaming skillets with sides of guac, rice, and beans. It was all incredibly tasty. For dessert we ordered the chocolate mousse cake to go (not shown). The cake is super rich and chocolately, so a glass of cold milk nearby is definitely recommended. Everything came to just under 50 bucks which was a great price for an impromptu date night about 2 minutes from home!

The food was great but the service wasn't really good but overall I think they have a very good restaurant and menu but the food again was great

Steak Quesadilla, soooo good!! Side of yummy guacamole.

Been wanting to eat here for a while and finally did. Panchos is a festive, warm, cheery restaurant that is decorated in such a way that is fun and immersive, like I'm eating at a Mexican festival. The staff was welcoming and friendly. We ordered a couple of Modelo draft beers that were nice and cold, really hot the spot. Complimentary tasty salty and crunchy tortilla chips and salsa were brought to our table right away. We ordered a steak quesadilla to start which was brought amazingly fast! And so delicious!! The steak was seasoned really well, so succulent and savory. I was digging it so much I ordered a burrito with steak for the entree. My girlfriend also loved the quesadilla. She ordered a shrimp burrito next. We also ordered a side of guacamole. I'm a guac fiend! Really good guac, didn't need any salt addition and had a nice cilantro flavor, which I love. My steak burrito was tasty but whereas the steak in the quesadilla was the star and allowed me to savor the seasoned beef, the steak flavor in the burrito was muddled and nearly lost due to the overpowering tomato based sauce that covered the burrito. If I'm going to have a steak burrito I'd rather have a hand held burrito that's stuffed with steak, rice and beans and not covered with sauce. It was still tasty, just barely any steak flavor. My girlfriend liked her burrito but said the shrimp was so small it was hard to taste any shrimp flavor. We will definitely be back and try different offerings next time. We brought the second half of our burritos home to have for breakfast. I think I would like to try an actual Mexican steak dinner there.

Pancho's makes very good, simple Mexican food without any gimmicks. Nobody's making tableside guacamole and there's no Mexican mariachi band roaming about, or a sombrero wearing girl selling shots of Jose Cuervo. At least I haven't seen those things yet. It's simply a lively restaurant that serves great Mexican food along with really good margaritas and cervezas. Everything is super fresh and relatively light. I've always had a language (communication) problem with the wait staff, but I don't mind. I guess that shows how authentic they really are. I cant wait to try their outdoor seating this coming Spring.

I am such an obnoxious, picky eater and I loved this! Awesome vegetarian options! My fiancé also really enjoyed his meal. We will be back!

We've had a meal at Taqueria a few times and thoroughly enjoyed both. Always flavorful, and always plenty to eat. A picture is worth a thousand words. Staff are very pleasant. Adequate parking in a small strip mall. But I always forget about them because I don't see their shop everyday. Go and enjoy.

There was a consistent steady flow of customers, eating in and picking up orders to go. On this frigid day I think that is a testament to the quality of the establishment. The decor inside is delightful, they have potted plants hanging from the ceiling with vines sprawling out, growing along strategically placed lines across the ceiling. Several playful piñatas are strewn about. It was a quiet, calm atmosphere. Even with the grills and ovens clearly cranking the dining room was chilled. Handmade signs are everywhere most in Spanish, with some English translations underneath. Laminated menus are also available. We waited what I thought was an appropriate time for our food, the items were brought out at separate times. One item completely forgotten, so we took it to-go. Fine though we were stuffed with what we had. We had ordered one steak and one shrimp taco (3 of each came out) definitely a miscommunication but sour cream on the side was noted and came on the side. We also enjoyed chips with a spicy green salsa, along with a voluptuous chicken quesadilla.

We couldn't decide from the awesome choices but I finally decided on Carne Al carbon tacos and beef nachos and my husband got the chicken fajita quesadilla. OMG we haven't eaten here since we first started dating in 2021 and it was mid. This time it was absolutely amazing. So amazing that everything looked so good and we forgot to take a picture. But trust me when I say every flavor was on point. We argued about who's driving home so the other can sleep. Thank you for an amazing date night filled with good food, good vibes, great service and amazing food.

Upon arrival you'll receive complimentary chips and salsa. It was fresh as the chips were warm and I could taste the fresh ingredients in the salsa. We ordered the carne asada and the Baja tacos (and the enchiladas verdes to go based on hot good the food was). The carne asada was fantastic, and it came with rice, beans, and tortillas. The Baja tacos were delicious and came with a super spicy sauce (they did have a lot of onions which was my only drawback). We ended the night with a special strawberry tres leches for Valentine's Day. It's not something I would have typically ordered but I do love tres leches and this did not disappoint - it was amazing. All in all excellent food you'll be glad you came for the food! A few other notes- the inside of the restaurant is pretty and draws on what I've seen in other Mexican restaurants. Staff were so friendly and had the perfect balance of checking in with us to letting us eat our meal. There is a small bar area that is separate from the dining area. Street parking only but there seemed to be plenty of spots. However, I would try to park as close as possible to the restaurant as the neighborhood itself didn't seem like the greatest. We had no issues during our experience but just something to consider. Overall I really liked this place and will definitely return!
