We've been going to this restaurant on and off for years. It has recently changed its name to Pan Wei. We ordered a pick up last week: Gen Tso, King Pao Chicken and Black pepper chicken, and egg rolls. The egg rolls no longer have any kind of protein in them, ditto the spring rolls. I hadn't looked at the description when I ordered, or I would have noticed it said "with vegetables" not 'with shrimp or with pork". I didn't mind but others in my party were disappointed. The black pepper chicken was tasty but very dry. Kung Pao was mostly celery, the peanuts were rare, as was the chicken and other veggies. General Tso's was pretty much the same as it ever was. I'm sad, Wai Wai. I can't afford the opportunity to eat out or get take out meals very often any more, so when I do spend the money a disappointment goes a long way. Please improve! A name change won't keep people coming back. read more

So happy to see this spot newly renovated -- it looks amazing inside! The vibe is super nice and cozy, and there's this huge hand-painted mural (about 15 feet long!) that the owner's wife made. Such a cool personal touch. The food is fresh, tasty, and clearly made with care. Everything comes out looking and tasting great, and the place is really clean too. Location's super convenient, easy to get to. I'm local and honestly just love having a place like this nearby. Definitely recommend giving it a try! read more

For a buffet style in the area is probably the best Chinese buffet. Way better than Grand China buffet in Washington. No complaints other than their General Tso is little on the sweet side. Other than that, this is my go to buffet. If not in a buffet mood, then ultimately Sweet Hut is the Best Chinese take out. read more

Went this past weekend, it was pretty good. Our server was great. Absolutely loved their sautéed green beans, every plate that I had had a helping of them on it. Also really enjoyed their crab rangoons. It was your typical buffet. Clean and well kept. Do sort of wish that they filled their buffet more often but I do think we hit it during a dinner rush. I just stumbled upon this spot right off the interstate exit, tucked behind McDonald's and Starbucks -- seriously convenient for a quick stop or a casual meal. The food here is super fresh and you can really tell it's made with care. There are several great dishes I like. Small but mighty. What Wai Wai's buffet lacks in size is made up with quality. Great hot and fresh food is really way above average of buffets of this type. We came in late one evening and I was concerned with the freshness of the food. Wasn't an issue. Fresh items were brought out constantly even though there were only a few other people in the restaurant. Atmosphere was very calming but my only gripe is that the same song kept playing over and over again. Overall a great experience and would recommend. read more

You have a 50/50 chance of the food being fresh on the buffet, and our visit last night happened to be the day the food on the buffet was NOT fresh, minimal, had been sitting there for quite some time, dried out, and downright pathetic! To give you an idea of how pathetic...this is a Chinese restaurant and they literally had one cup of white rice all scooped in a little pile on the buffet! We arrived a little after 5pm, on a Friday, which is typically the time most restaurants are prepared for people to start coming in to eat. Very good place for a filling lunch. $6.95 plus drink lunch buffet. Had the buffet a week ago. The staff was very friendly and helpful for my needs. My Pepsi glass never went empty. I wanted sushi mainly and I looked on the Internet to see what their buffet consisted of...no info... The sushi display was I believe 4 pieces of California roll and that was it for our entire 1hr visit. They had the usual Chinese offerings and the food was okay. The offerings were very minimal so don't come thinking it's your typical large buffet. This was my first time here and I am not sure that I will return. First, the positives: the restaurant is attractive, comfortable, quiet, and clean. The rest room is satisfactory and clean. The price of $9.75 for dinner (and $6.95 for lunch) is a bargain. The broccoli and fried rice were good. The selection is modest for a Chinese buffet and the food is mediocre to good. The lo mein noodles were too greasy. There is no ice cream machine, rather there are four flavors of so-so ice cream. The waitress refilled beverages and was not friendly. The gentleman to whom we paid our check was reasonably pleasant. No one goes out of their way to make the customer feel appreciated and welcome. The place is okay if you are looking for some very cheap Chinese food. But, be prepared to eat very cheap Chinese food! The chicken is obviously low quality. This is one of the worst places I have eaten chinese food ever! The staff was rude and we got directed to a dirty table with dirty silverware. We continued to the buffet where we dished our lunch portion. There was a nice variety of stuff, but the food was very buttery and greasy looking. The flavors were overwhelmed by the use of oil, salt and soy sauce. The worst of all happened about an hour later when my entire family complained about stomach cramps followed by a traffic jam in front of the bathroom door. Thanks for an awful experience. Eh. If you go during busy hours (12pm-1ish), the food is quite good. Honey chicken and chicken w/ broccoli are musts. General tso's is meh. Sweet n sour chicken is okay. I am not one to frequent buffets but find myself making return visits on occasion. Nothing fancy inside but the wait staff is very attentive and the food abundant. Nice offering of Asian food...
