I tried calling to place an order, but the phone was busy every time I tried to call. I ordered through Uber Eats instead. The General Tso was a decent size, enough for two people and even came with rice. What really shocks me is the lemon chicken that I ordered. So this almost ended up a bad review... So I ordered what I thought would be chow mein, but it ended up being a different preparation or interpretation of chow mein. I felt really bad to ask but I was expecting noodles. The cashier told me that it was essentially called lo mein that have the noodles. I never liked Chinese food before but since I tried panda over 6 years it was the best I love the chicken wings . Chinese donuts and the pork fried rice . I've be scared to order because a few times I ordered my favorite plate and the rice had a smell like rotten and the chicken was half way cooked if I was to eat Chinese again I will try again but will hate it if is one of the days that they have the old rice ;( because when I had ordered the food and it was good believe me even my coworkers got hooked up to panda on hardscrabble . The quality and freshness of the dishes is always consistently good. Their hot and sour soup is a much have as are the boneless chinese spare ribs. The kitchen is open and the Restuarant is clean and bright. The food is always ready when promised. Best Chinese is Columbia. read more

The food was not fresh at all. The general tso's chicken was very dry and tough, the egg rolls were soft and chewy.

Being from Boston, I haven't been able to find good Chinese takeout in Cola; or at least I should say as good as some of my neighborhood favs with names like Speedy Wongs & The Ho Toy. I especially miss the homemade duck sauce (as oppossed to the little packets that taste more like some type of glue that a garnish...and yes I have tasted glue before... I mean who hasn't?!) However, I must say that although the experience here is still sans the duck sauce I long for. It's the best I've had in the area to date. It's hard to compare to the places I used to love though b/c it's just different. I mean the crab rangoons, or Gooners as I like to call them are good, but they're the softer triangle type as opposed to the bowtie/wontony type I love so much from home. The tofu is good. And so is the veggie lo mein and garlic broccoli. The portions are certainly generous and the price is right. So overall. Among other things we ordered vegetable fried rice, what arrived was some yellow rice filled (over the top) with frozen peas and carrots, some still cold, huge chunks of half cooked broccoli, and what looks to be lettuce. This is my husband's favorite Chinese takeout in Columbia, so I'll offer up that caveat first--some of the issues I have with it might just be issues of my taste. Panda is usually reasonably fast and not terribly expensive. The food, unfortunately, is not very good. Everything I've gotten has either been too sweet (their General Tso's is soooo sweet) or just kind of greasy and blah. My biggest issue is that I've gotten minor food poisoning from the rice twice in a row. I'm assuming they are leaving the rice out at non-food-safe temps for too long, but I don't know that for sure. Either way, I'd prefer not to come back. Again though, people whose taste buds I usually trust like it, so who knows? The people are nice though, so there's always that! read more

The lo mein was ok until I started to crunch the shells of a shrimp. The fried rice was awful. Yellow rice with meat of your choice and shrimp with... you guessed it, the shells still attached. Not what I would call authentic Chinese food. The fried rice is not actually fried rice. It is actually yellow steamed rice with cut onions and cubed canned ham. Very unpleasant. This place has an idea location and could really do it up but the authenticity and taste is very lacking. When I went there I ordered ham dried rice with cut up wings. I received the yellow rice ordeal and southern fried chicken. What??? Not what I was expecting. Who is buying this and how are they still in business as a Chinese restaurant. This is something you can cook yourself at home. I can speak on this because I'm Asian myself and I sometimes just don't want to fry my own rice. But if you are looking for good Chinese food and not American passing off as Chinese food do not come to this place. Sorry I just call it like it is. For the good reviews seems kind of sketchy. Have they had any other Chinese food before. To the restaurant please hire people who can cook the good food we like and I bet your business will grow. read more
