Standing in line provided opportunities to observe: Josephine's in-charge demeanor and actions demonstrated grace under pressure: she greeted customers pleasantly; filling orders dexterously - not skimming on serving portions; all the while multitasking with professional aplomb such as replenishing food trays, communicating with cooks, and overseeing service. Team members Darwin and Steven seamlessly followed up on my order in a friendly manner, not letting the rush diminish customer service. Don't go to this Cerritos location! Go to the Panda in Los Alamitos on Lincoln Ave. instead of this Cerritos location! It is worth the extra miles!!! So on my mobile app order I had to put "Load it up, please," because they always skimp at this location! However, this time, this was the least amount of food I ever got!!! Literally like 2 noodles of chow mein! Panda Express never fails for a good and quick Chinese food fix. I craved for chow mein and came here after work. It's in the Cerritos area near Which Which restaurant and Wing Stop. The restaurant is nice and clean. As soon as you step foot inside, the aroma of the delicious Chinese dishes hits you. Heaven! They offer you a sample of whatever dish you want. I tried the shrimp and it was good. I ended up ordering the chow mein, orange chicken and kung pao chicken. The manager was great! Me and my son get panda every Friday as a end of weekday treat. My son always gets the cub meal and as most know kids seem to choke on things at this age of 4. Love this Panda Express. I have came to this panda numerous times and just wanted to write a nice review about it. The staff and very nice here as well. Even though finding parking is kinda hard especially on the weekends, the good food makes up for it. The line gets a little bit long but the staff work very quickly here so the line goes by really fast. Broccoli beef, green bean chicken, eggplant tofu & Beijing beef - those are the usual suspects for me. I whip out my receipt w/ the code, entitling me to a free entree to go along with my 2-item combo w/ fried rice and it's chowtime. I was a little perturbed when Panda Express replaced fried white rice w/ fried brown rice awhile ago, but I'm glad the big muckamucks saw the error of their ways and brought back the OG fried rice. Yeah, brown rice has fiber, but it also has phytins, which are antinutrients. Phytins block the absorbtion of nutrients in the GI tract, causing leaky gut syndrome. This Panda Express location has always been clean & and very convenient for me, due to it's close proximity. The staff during my latest visit were especially friendly from start to finish. They even obliged me when I ask for more rice and extra fortune cookies. Because having one fortune just isn't enough ;p The line usually goes by quick & I'm in n' out in no time. Tables & stool seating for those looking to dine in. Parking is located at the Cerritos Promenade, which can be hard to come by. I suggest parking near Island Pacific to find a spot. Located very closeby, there is another Panda Express across the street in the Los Cerritos Center. But, for some reason, the food doesn't taste the same. When I want Panda, I go here. PE is in no way real Chinese food, but when you're "hangry" (hungry + angry) and tired of burgers, PE is a fast, decent option. You walk in and order cafeteria line style. You can order a la carte or go for one of their Panda Bowls (one entree over rice or chow mein) or two/three entree plates. Today I opted for a two entree plate ($6.70) with teriyaki chicken and kung pao chicken with half chow mein and half fried rice. The teriyaki chix here is good - they actually slice up the grilled chicken to order and ask you if you want the sauce on top or on the side. The chix itself is nice - moist with a good ginger and garlic flavor. The sauce is ok, but a little too sweet for my liking (I get it on the side to control that sweetness). The kung pao chix was tasty as well. Chix pieces in a spicy sauce with zucchini, onions, red bell peppers and peanuts. Their chow mein noodles and fried rice are always just meh - both on the dry side and not very flavorful. Basically just carbs to eat with your entrees. All in all fine as fast food goes. It's a nice change-up from standard fast food fare. Panda Express is fine. I've never gotten sick when eating here which is a good thing lol. I usually go for my Chinese food fix every few months. I usually order orange chicken, broccoli beef, or honey walnut shrimp with chow mien and their super greens. The food isn't the best but its edible. The food servings are so little you don't get a full portion size that you would expect for paying over 15 $ for a plate of Chinese food. The staff that took our order didn't even fill the large carton to the brim with chow mein and when it came to the shrimp, the staff counted how many shrimp went into the carton. My sister asked him if he was counting the shrimp and he said he was only allowed to put 14 shrimp. When we got home I took pictures of the food and I even counted the shrimp. I thought Panda is well known for their cleanliness and high standard in the fast food industry. If they are so clean then why am I having food poisoning? Old oil? If the multi millions/billions business which can generate like 50K-100K/week per store, shouldn't they be changing their oil more often since all their secrets to the food is sugar and oil? Expired walnut? Okay. I ordered honey walnut shrimps and kung pao chickens. Their fast selling item is kung pai chickens. They should be using that a lot and wouldn't be any expired products on hand. On the other hand, premium item like Walnut Shrimp is not a hot selling comparing to Kung Pao, maybe they used expired walnut? Whoever put away deliveries and obviously either cooks or managers, such a shame on them for not doing FIFO. If you take the ownership of your store and responsible of your work, you would off doing FIFO and not serving expired items to your customers!!
