Grabbed lunch for the family today. 4 bowls, 2 orange chicken with greens, 1 orange chicken with fried rice and greens, 1 teriyaki chicken with noodles and greens and 1 order of spring rolls. We have family between Nashville and Dickson, and the ladies in the group needed something from a retail store in Dickson. After shopping for an inordinate amount of time we found ourselves famished at dinner time and passing this Panda Express. It's a stand-alone building with new, modern aesthetics and looked to be clean with an appealing aroma wafting from its kitchen vents. We made the split second decision to pull in and order food for the group. In retrospect, that was a mistake. They gave us the wrong bags of food. When we realized and called, took our information and told us to come back for a replacement. When we were able to get back the following week, we were told there was no note or any record of our situation. Not only that, but not one staff member was understanding or empathetic to the fact that we've now paid for food we didn't get, and driven the 45 twice unnecessarily, and waited for 25 minutes for a manager to assist. There was no store manager, but the GM (who wasn't there), Giovanni, was reached by phone and I spoke to him. I explained the situation, but not only was he unwilling to do ANYTHING about it, but he was aggressively rude about it, and told me it was my fault for not having the receipt. Who keeps fast food receipts even if you WERE given one?? They had record of this incident, I know they did because my phone call was noted as well as someone else getting the food that WE paid for. We were told on the phone to "just come in" and that it'd be taken care of. I love Panda Express and have for years. My problem is not the company, But the staff and management at this location. They run out of teriyaki chicken every single day and have not made any attempt to change that. When you order online and on DoorDash, they are always out. You would think you would prep more since this is an ongoing problem. I worked in foodservice for ten years and you are supposed to make adjustments according to business patterns. Today I called in at noon and asked if they had teriyaki chicken and was told at this point they had not run out. I told the girl on the phone it was not an option on DoorDash, she said go to the panda website and order there because she did not have time to take a Togo order on the phone. DO NOT GO HERE! After ordering on their mobile app and driving 40 minutes to get there, my order still wasn't ready! I got an email from them stating that it was ready at 7:30 pm. I arrived at 7:35 to pick it up and drove up to the drive thru to let them know I was here. I was immediately shut down and spoken over by a girl who told me I would have to come inside to get it. Once I parked I went inside and stood there amongst the chaos. After 10 minutes of no one acknowledging me, I walked up to the counter and told someone about my order. The girl from the drive thru said they didn't have anything to do with the emails that were sent stating that my food was ready and that they were still working on it. Finally, after an additional 30 minutes I asked for a refund so that I could go somewhere else. The rude woman from the drive thru, who's name was Ashlee, snapped at me and rolled her eyes while telling me, "they didn't give refunds!" I asked again and she gave me the same answer. My fiancé, who was standing next to me, asked to speak to a manager. A young man came out and called someone and then told us that his manager would have to issue the refund and that he was at another store tonight and my refund would take him 3-4 days to process. WHAT?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Never, have I ever been to a restaurant that didn't issue a refund, and I have traveled all over the world! Now, it's been 40 minutes since I've arrived and still no food! By this time, other people in there were also complaining. I told the nice young man who tried helping me to just finish my order and let me leave with it. I did get my food, but not before another eye roll and smart ass comment from "Ashlee". It goes without saying, we won't be back!! This place needs a manager on site and some organization to the chaos because as it is now, this place won't be in business another month! read more

Went to Dickson location tonight about 7pm not too busy went through the drive thru girl was very pleasant as usual. But after tonight not sure I'll visit again anytime soon. Decided to swap it up and get the broccoli an beef now I've had it before so I kno what it's supposed to look like well it was bout 7 pieces of broccoli and under it all bout 3 tiny pieces of beef. Totally disappointed if they were out I'd understand should've told me but no. So I wonder do they pay attention when they scoop it out or do they just not really care. Made me rethink my next visit. I'm not from the area so hopefully it was an off day. But either way I'll still be eating Panda Express. Ps: if your ever in California you should stop by the restaurant that got it all started. Good food and anytime we have ever had an issue it is taken care of! Panda Express both locally and the corporate level take care of costumers. Example 1: One evening we got Panda and took it home. My husband and I both got orange chicken. We got home and it tasted TERRIBLE. Something was not right. By this point the restaurant was closed so my husband called the next day to make sure they knew something wasn't right. They referred us to take a phone survey through corporate. Two days later we had multiple coupons for free items. Example 2: Today, my husband went to pick up lunch and his card was declined. This was no fault of ours and the manager explained it had been happening randomly all day. He gave my husband our food for free. We love Panda Express and will continue to visit! read more

Yet another victim of Middle Tennesssee syndrome. I've been here close to a dozen times since they opened this location, but have only been able to get food a few times. A shame, too, because their Kung Pao Chicken is actually pretty good. I wrote to Panda's corporate offices and received a nice apology...even a small gift card (are you reading this Pollo Tropical? Fuck you.) in response. Service there STILL sucks. If you ever go to this location and find more than one person waiting in line ahead of you, just turn around and leave, because you ain't getting food any time soon. Update: I've been there twice since I posted this review. Was only able to get food once, and that took 15 minutes. The Drive-thru was slinging orders at triple the rate of the eat-in staff, despite their being MORE people taking orders on the line. Part of the problem is the bugwits in line who stand there for 10 minutes waiting their turn, only to look up and go "uhhhhh" when finally asked what they want. Motherfucker, I knew what I wanted before I got out of the car. Get out of the line! Another part of the problem is the people working the line, especially the kid on the register. I wrote another email to Panda HQ to tell them the service here STILL sucks. They wrote back with a form letter. "Thank you for your concern. When this place first opened it was great! Food, service and clean facility! Though the food is still delicious and the place is still clean the customer service is horrible!! Every time I go through the drive thru I end up having to just come inside because nobody takes my order. Last visit the food was gross. I purchased the bigger plate. I asked for Orange Chicken,Honey Walnut shrimp and Grillled Terikayi chicken. The Orange Chicken was dried out and tasted like it had been sitting there for hours. The Shrimp was crispy and the Grilled Chicken was hard. I expected better. I ordered steak and shrimp two entrées up with served with noodles And one side. I also ordered two vegetable rolls. I paid for $11 and I had a receipt to where I could. Back but that when I got at home which is a few miles away I know this gave me the entrée two entrées in noodles and gave me three pieces of shrimp and two very small pieces of steak buried and peppers and onion .I don't know about you but I expect when I order two entrées not two pieces of shrimp a little bitty underbites, maybe baby teeth but expect pieces of steak. I usually love Panda Express, but our first meal in this new location was lackluster at best. The side veggies weren't cooked, or even steamed, they were completely raw, which isn't that bad for green beans and cabbage, but the mammoth carrot slices were awful. I had the five flavor shrimp (premium up charge) and it was the blandest shrimp and veg in "gravy" ever. The Beijing beef tasted like frozen, reheated fried beef covered in a super thick, extremely sugary coating which was flat out unpleasant to eat. My spouse wanted Broccoli & beef, which they were out of at 5pm on a Saturday. She instead got the "chef's special," green pepper & onions with beef, which was okay at best. The fried rice was okay, but very bland, mostly white and boring. Overall, not worth it. We will wait until this restaurant has been open for a while to give them a second chance. Pros: -2 flavored tea options on the fountain, and root beer -nice looking place Cons: -bland, poorly made food -dining area was dirty everywhere -things on the menu we're out/most of the bowls were empty pre-dinner rush. -No wifi (come on its 2017!) -Food quality doesn't merit the price ($20 for a bowl, plate and 1 drink). read more

It's obviously the management and workers, but I've been 3 times and every time they're out of almost every entree and it's not even crowded. The workers are also rude and don't seem to care much. I brought my kids to the new Panda Express in Dickson today while we were out running errands. First things first, we visited the restroom. Both the Men's room and Women's room were very clean, well lit and beautifully done. Unfortunately, they are single stalls so you must wait for them to become available and there are no paper towels for opening the doo aftee you have washed your hands. I was forced to use my shirt - major pet peeve of mine. There also was not a garbage can. The employees were very nice and fast. They offered us samples when we were unsure of what we wanted to order. We finally settled on the Honey Sesame Chicken and the Teriyaki Chicken with fried rice. I found the flavor of the Honey Sesame Chicken to be very good but most pieces were a little under-sauced. (Yes, I made that word up.) The couple pieces that were covered with sauce were moist and delicious. The Teriyaki Chicken was outstanding. The fried rice was not as good as I was expecting from Panda Express. I just didn't think it was very flavorful. Also it had corn in it which was a little weird. Fountain drink selections were good and like most fast food places they offer free self serve refills. They had the usual range of sodas, plus lemonade (thankfully not the sugar free kind), and something I have never seen before but decided to try. It was Sobe flavored water...I think it was called Yum berry pomegranate and it was delicious. I really really liked it. The selection of entrees seemed like it was short a few normal things. No plain Honey Chicken and I did not see General Taos Chicken either. They did however have Chicken Chow Mein which looked tempting! It seemed that they only had two highchairs, which were very clean and nice, but while we were there we noticed that there didn't seem to be enough of them. Everyone was very happy with lunch. The portions were extremely small got the orange chicken had 5 small pieces of chicken and sweet fire chicken had 3 small pieces of chicken and 2 pieces of pineapple and a very small piece of red pepper. Not sure what has happened over the past two weeks but they need to fix it. I was a regular customer at least twice a week. Always been great. The past two weeks been there 3 times and now will never go back. Customer service is absolutely AWFUL. They all appear to hate their jobs. And the food quality has went straight down hill. Not sure where the regular cook went or what happened to him but they definitely need to find and fix him.
