Talk about false advertisement/bait and switch! I ordered four sides of gravy for $.99 each. What they show you in the picture is not what you get. The little tiny black containers you see is what you normally get served a little pat of butter in somewhere else. But here at Popeyes, that's apparently what they serve their side of gravy in. This was a pretty good location several years ago. I'm not sure what happened but the customer service has deteriorated. We stopped by the drivethru today and we are NOT pleased. We got the food, but they neglected to provide straws for the drinks, utensils to eat with, napkins, and the requested sauces were left out. I went to Popeyes the other day because it's normally my favorite place to go to when I crave chicken; I wanted to try their new strawberry cream cheese pie , because I found out I wasn't allergic to strawberries anymore, and I got my chicken dipping sauce and drink and I got home and I didn't get my strawberry cream cheese pie after I paid 12$ for the full meal . I'm not one to normally complain about it but it made me upset , luckily I was in the mood to bake chocolate covered snacks at home so I went and spent another 20$ when I could've saved money if they just gave me the damn pie :) read more

So I was so excited to have Popeyes reopen in Dickson. I thought it was interesting that they did host a grand reopening celebration. I only found out because a Facebook friend went the day before. So the meal... I used the app for the two can dine special and received 5 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, mac-n-cheese, and two biscuits. Overall the sides & biscuits tasted like a regular Popeyes. What I was disappointed about was the chicken. It looked and tasted like it was left over from the store closing. The pieces were overcooked, dry, and just not fresh. So disappointing! Seriously how do you just reopen and have old chicken?? Question I may never know the answer! read more

The only other Popeyes I know of is in opry mills mall . It was delicious. This was just okay . The drive through was fast .. I don't care much for their fries .. the seasoning is good just they have like a greasy waxy after taste . You want a GREAT chicken sandwich , try zaxbys . I've eaten at all of them in the area . Horrid experience. The front of the order counter area was flooded from what appeared to be the ice machine. They boy cleaning it up was moving like a sloth. Must've been to interested in what was playing through his ear buds. The chick taking the orders had this facial expression that she hated being there. Her tone of voice sounded as if she was annoyed. She did not seem welcoming or interested in being there at all. We had to wait quite awhile to get a 7 piece meal. Did Popeyes's actually STOP serving the individual packets of Cajun sparkle??? Because that's what they said. And if that's true then I'll no longer be eating there. So let's start off came in to order. We was told they are short staff and could not have anyone take people's order from the front register. Was told we need to go through the drive through or order on door dash. So order on door dash. The manager was struggling to get anyone to work a lot of people standing around worried about where they was going. Manager asked four times to have wings dropped and they mean mug her just all around disrespectful. Tenders where freshly made but the regular chicken was dried out seams like it's been in the warmer to long. Was craving some really good fried chicken but that is not what I got at this location. Got chicken tenders, fries, Mac n cheese and two biscuits. The chicken was super dry and barely eatable. The fried had been setting for a bit under the heat lamp, mac n cheese was just plain bland and the biscuits tasted freezer burnt. If I had time I would have returned the meal and asked for a refund. First popeyes I ever ate at. Stopped in about a month ago and tried the spicy chicken sandwich from drive through. Instantly hooked and have been on a mission to find every popeyes in middle tn ever since Today found myself back in Dickson and stopped by again. This time I made the unfortunate mistake of going inside. One little scrawny overwhelmed kid at the register with a horrible attitude. Employees yelling at each other in front of customers. Manager yelling at customers to separate. People getting mad and walking out. 15 minute wait for my chicken sandwich and an act of congress to get salt and pepper. When i did, previously described scrawny kid practically threw 30 packs of each at me. Popeyes. If you have a secret shopper, send them here. Buyer beware... They do not accept their own gift cards in store... And will not refund them if you have a gift card that you purchased from another retailer. I called their corporate office and they confirmed that they do not accept gift cards in many of their stores. They said I have to download their app and order my food on it to use their gift card or I have to get a refund from the place that I purchased the gift card... Most places, including the place I purchased my gift card will not accept returns on activated gift cards. This means I paid for a $25 gift card that is worthless... What if I don't have a smartphone?... I do, but I don't want another frivolous app on my phone and I refuse to put it on my phone when it was not disclosed that the app was required when I purchased the gift card. I have filed a report with the federal trade commission about this fraudulent activity... I am also in the process of looking for an attorney to handle a class action lawsuit against Popeyes for this. i have found out that many others have faced the same issue... Hey Popeys...Don't sell gift cards if you can't accept them in the store, period. And by the way, you have lost me as a customer forever. read more

If I could get away with giving this place negative stars I would. In the time they've been open I have been here maybe five or six times. The *only* time they got my order right was the time I went there solely to get a two-pack of biscuits. Every other time it was either a wrong or forgotten side or, like tonight, they started my order five minutes after I pull up to the window. Waited a grand total of around 15 minutes for a lousy shrimp box meal and forgotten biscuit. The only thing this place really has going for it, in my opinion, is the biscuits. Like Martian B said, if you are in the mood for chicken in Dickson there are any # of other places to get it. Horrible..... the food taste like they never change their grease. The building is in horrible shape. The parking lot has a giant sink hole and cracks with 4 foot weeds growing out of the ground. The drive through sign is busted out and all you see is tube lights. And they're always out of whatever you order first. read more

Never again. EVER. Literally half the order received via Doordash (not the Dasher's fault), and when I called the store, no one picked up the phone. Reported to Doordash, as well as corporate. I just went through the drive thru today August 10 at 4:20 PM and the lady that was working the window and headset was very rude. I asked for hot sauce and she shut the window in my face. She was a heavier set darker woman. I come to this popeyes all the time and everyone is always super nice and friendly. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had here. read more

Good chicken. Been there twice and they have messed up my order both times. 1st time gave me hot instead of mild strips and the second time gave me a thigh instead of a breast. The only chicken this is better than is kfc. If you want good chicken get it from a gas station, kroger or even walmart. All are better and you will get what you paid for. read more

terrible customer service, you either get the guy who's totally uninterested in life, or the girl who is just really, really annoying. the ceiling tiles have been shifted around to hide a leak in the roof but at this point the ceiling is about 1/3 brown. one of the lights is almost fallen down. generally unclean, slow, and poor service. read more

Was very disappointed. Drove about 30 miles to get the Beer can Chicken they advertised on TV, this store even had the thing's on the table showing the Beer Can chicken, However we was told they weren't doing that promotion any longer. This place is lacking so much... There are few people in there that actually work. The management is absolutely terrible there. Great service, great food at a great price. I love the spicy chicken and the mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy. Their Po Boy is delicious and with the spicy chicken the flavors are awesome. This is my favorite location of any Popeye's restaurants that I have visited. read more
