    Veggies only?

I separated the meats in my beef broccoli and chicken with string beans also the extra small box of beef broccoli to see how much meat they put. Only had ONE piece of chicken and like 8 pieces of beef. Thanks pandas for the $h*t order!

Well I ate all the shrimp cause that was the best part but still wasn't delicious.

Nobody there acknowledged me for a few minutes the young man who helped was needing a little smile while helping me but that's wishful thinking. The food was disappointing. The fried rice had balls of white rice and no flavor except every couple bites I would taste perfume. Gross. The almond shrimp wasn't cooked right and was missing something as well as the orange chicken. Very disappointed for this 20 dollar meal.

Thank you, Panda Express, for being there. Food you can count on! Clean and spacious place.

Plate combo. Honey walnut shrimp, chow menu, fresh greens

First night in Hilo looking for dinner options- the area we're staying in had little options. Mostly fast food and strip mall restaurants (by Walmart) that were underwhelming for the price. Food here is EXPENSIVE! Stumbled upon Panda Express- you can't go wrong. This location is across from a KFC.... Plenty of staff, very organized to handle the line of waiting customers. The food was fresh and they were constantly preparing everything fresh to order. I ordered the PLATE which comes with 2 entrees and 2 sides. I chose the honey walnut shrimp, the chow mein noodles and I doubled up on the fresh greens which was broccoli and cabbage. That chow mein was SO flavorful! Before we leave, I'm going back for more. Tip: ask for hot spicy mustard and eat it with the shrimp! YUM Great customer service

This is what my sorry of a bowl look like!! What a disappointment!!! $10.70? Yea right, not for me! Never again!!!

I usually don't give bad reviews, but I need to share. If I could give it a zero star I would!!! Don't bother going to Panda Express on Makaala st. If you don't want to get ripped off!! I ordered two bowls on the app. I picked up my plate and was surprised with the amount of food I got. The cashier agreed that it was small portions. He offered a small container to make up for the two bowls. I took it from him and took it to the table I was sitting at and packed up EVERYTHING I PAID FOR, but left the pity charity container. I don't need no sympathy!! I need honesty!!! And when I mean honesty I mean give me what I paid for. I know damn well that I did not receive $10.70 per bowl!!! I work hard for my money!!! Don't give me no excuses that you have a new worker!! I don't care about that. Thats your problem not mines!! If your new worker is not ready to work independently then train her more!!! Don't make it an excuse!! Panda Express Hilo, Makaala street DO BETTER!!!

Super greens, beef broccoli and string bean chicken breast YUCK

I don't even know where to start. But this is the second time I got their super greens. Absolutely disgusting, horrible and I think they left it their for hours. Their beef broccoli had what, 2 beefs and wilted broccoli. Their string bean chicken SAME wilted beans. The whole plate looks so disgusting I threw it out!

My husband and I ate panda again today, because their food is so good. We eat Panda once or twice a week! My husband loves the walnut shrimps and orange chicken. I love the kungpao chicken, string bean chicken , teriyaki chicken and black pepper steak. Those are my favors. This panda is always so busy, that's why their food keeps coming out from the kitchen and everything looks super fresh and delicious.

My first red flag was when the table in the front had a hair in their food .... But hey that's beside the point. The shrimp fried rice had 7 shrimp...7!!! It's not seasoned at all just egg and boiled shrimp , not even a lil green onion or soy sauce ..then the duck was like greasy and lacked luster and I asked for the duck "sauce "/ drippings and I was given hosin sauce ( ew) but I ate some because I'm not wasting my money lol. Did I mention I payed $58....... And for that much I would've expected the customer service to be top tier ... and no shocker the food matched the customer service 0/10 again. I'm not mad just disappointed. First restaurant in Hilo -0 /10 .

The restaurant itself seems like your typical Chinese restaurant setup with some booths along the window and larger round tables in the middle. It is a smaller restaurant, so maybe 10ish tables are inside max. We try to mix things up every time we come, but we always get the salt pepper pork ribs and the hot and sour soup! I find most places are either a hot or miss with the soup, but they are definitely my favorite place that makes it! And the pork ribs are the best. As my mom puts it, they're the perfect accompaniment to any meal since they're so crispy and tasty. She even commented she would get just the ribs so she can "snack" on it while watching the Super Bowl. Service can be a bit on the slower side, but every time we came, there's only been one person in the front answering the phone while catering to the people dining in and I believe they make the food when you order it so definitely not a quick place to eat if you're short on time but I find the wait always worth it.

The servers were running around all night, and it seemed that they were a little bit understaffed. However, they still did their best to attend to us, and food came out promptly. As most other pho shops, they provide plenty of bean sprouts, mint, lemons, and sauces (oyster sauce/Sriracha) to enjoy. Pho Rare Beef (6.5/10) - the broth was good, flavorful, rich and salty as expected from Vietnamese pho. As this spot is kind of a Viet/Chinese fusion, don't go in expecting the best pho of your life. However, the broth is definitely delicious and will fix your pho cravings - only comment is regarding the beef itself. Some of the pieces were definitely a little thicker, tougher, and at points difficult to chew. The beef was not then these sliced into the brisket that I'm used to finding, but that's OK Overall, pretty good pho spot on the Big Island with quite tasty broth. Only wish that the beef was either thinner and easier to chew, or more tender.

Parking is okay but might be a little difficult during rush hour. The parking lot is on the right side of the restaurant. The inside has a bit of an older vibe, but the food and service were great.
