Reading previous reviews it seems as though Panda Express has a reoccurring problem with their drive thru service. Tonight my family ordered two plates and BOTH turned out to be wrong. One was suppose to contain white rice and orange chicken, while the other was suppose to be half and half with orange chicken and string bean chicken. However, we received white rice and string bean chicken and half and half with string bean chicken and angus steak. We were definitely disappointed once we returned home. We wanted to express our complaint over the phone to make sure employees are checking their orders. Though we weren't able to because no one would pick up. After trying three times we decided it wasn't worth it. So before you leave the facility double check to make sure you're receiving what you ordered! read more

We loooove Pandas, Pandas is our fast food of choice. We had a problem with our online order not being found or ready. MOD (I believe her name Sharay or Sharece, sorry I was blinded by the hunger) handled the problem very well, I was impressed with her professionalism and she deserves 5 stars The serving size was good and quality was there for an hour until closing. We eat at Panda Express on Oahu and Hilo at least every week if not every other. My two recommendations for 5 stars at this location: WE WANT CHOWFUN AT THE HILO LOCATION!!! Why can't we have chowfun?!!!! Update the online choices according to what's available. All items should be online not just the featured items. read more

These folks are fairly consistent with quality. Not my first choice for Chinese. We live in a town with some awesome Chinese Restaurants. I like their Orange Chicken which is good and their Mobile App. for ordering. read more

I have come here before and found it rather good. Maybe it was a tad costly but I have usually found it to be worth the while. However, I went today at 10am sharp when they open and it was different, the broccoli was undercooked, the sauces seemed off, the beef was fatty like it wasn't cooked enough to distribute it all out and overall the qualify was just not there. I sense it wasn't cooked long enough and that things weren't carefully attended to like it was just tossed out there. In the end I have no inclination of going back and surmise it will be better later in the day--but one bad experience is enough for me in this case. read more

We ordered catering in July and on August 3rd and when I called to ask for the pick up time they had lost the order and accused me of not paying for it. After back to back phone calls we went in and looked at the receipts from that day. I had proof of purchase through the Venmo app and the manager continued to state that we never placed the order. My husband had to personally look through the recipts on the company computer because the manager kept stating that we never paid for it and sure enough-he found it. When he went to pick up the order they had gotten the order wrong. Instead of chow mein they had substituted it with Rangoon's even though the recipt ticket stated it was chow mein. It was completely frustrating for this was for my wedding day and what was supposed to be one of the easiest things on my to do list turned into a chaotic couple of hours. 5 stars for the customer service from the manager. I ordered the eggplant tofu and was extremely disappointed on the presentation, it did NOT look like the eggplant tofu, so this is not a rating on the food. I go to Panda Express a lot in California and it did not look like what I usually order. I am a vegan so that's the only thing I can order. I asked for a refund and that is what I got, and a sincere apology from the manager and even offered free food. I denied the free food because I wanted to eat at home. But that is the customer service you want, someone that goes beyond and above. So hopefully the food issue does get resolved and the eggplant tofu gets to Panda Express's standard. I come here at least once a week. I love the teriyaki chicken! The staff is amazing! I am always greeted with a smile!

Ordered two combo plates to go and come home to see that one of the entree is missing. Complete rip off! The cashier also charged us for a bag when we said we didn't want one and never gave it to us. Shady business practice!! read more

Walked into Panda Express tonight and ordered a two choice place. One of the dishes I chose was eggplant tofu, and the gals fixing my plate and helping me at check out gave me a 10%discount because there was no tofu in the eggplant tofu. That was totally unexpected, but very generous of them! I wish I had gotten their names. Wonderful customer service! read more

The food is actually the best of any Panda I have been to but the stressful environment created by the understaffed, overworked multitasking (drive-through headphone talking) employees who are also trying to serve you and a car, along with the rattling pop rock music playing inside and out creates a horrible, unhealthy dining experience. Hire drive through employees if you are going to cash in on drive through and play some calm, Chinese dining music to add some ambience to the currently chaotic experience. read more

On March 5, it was late and I was pregnant and hungry. Drove to Panda Express at 9:10 pm and saw their lights on and their open sign still lighted. The workers were just in there standing around. Started walking there and the staff turned their lights off right as I got to the door. As I walked away, I saw them laughing and smiling in the background. I did see that their store hours were until 9 pm and their drive through was open until 9:30 pm so I had 15 minutes left, but they closed that too. Why would they close 15 minutes early? Pretty disappointed by their customer service. Anyone else had this problem? Management feel free to contact me. As of now, I am not going to support Hilo's Panda express. read more

I'd give it high rating for it's convenience, but the wait for either the drive thru or dine in is too long during prime time. I always get my mushroom chicken with either undercooked zucchini or undercooked mushrooms, with a little too much grease in their chow mein. I would appreciate it if the cooks would just thoroughly cook the ingredients before someone, if not me, gets sick from undercooked ingredients. read more

As others have noted this place has some lovely food but the price is out of line with the portion sizes. Having said that I enjoyed the honey walnut shrimp as a great entree to start the line up. Crunchy and sumptuous can't fault it. Then progressed onto a great serving of Kung Pao Chicken which was yummy too.
