I have lived on the southside for a little over 20 years. The whole time I've lived here, I've never gone to Panda Express until recently. I really think I know why now. I realize that I definitely haven't been missing anything. I ordered an eggroll and some spring rolls and the mushroom chicken with the noodles. Everything was below subpar. The mushroom chicken was especially disappointing. There was barely any in the container. It had a few (2-3) tiny pieces of mushroom in it and they were barely recognizable. The chicken meat in it was comprised of tiny pea sized chunks of dark meat with fat and skin attached. The portion was paltry and there was virtually no sauce. The noodles were not soft and didn't appear to be fresh. The egg roll and spring rolls were nothing special. It was all nasty swill. It was one of the most pathetic and poorest meals I have had in a long time. The experience was bona fide awful and I am more than OK to never go to Panda Express again. read more

Panda Express is hit or miss for me depending on the freshness of the food. I try to go during peak hours so I know the food is being replaced constantly. When it's fresh, it's fantastic fast food Chinese. I love the orange chicken and the cream cheese rangoons. Their app is nice too and you can easily get rewards. read more

I usually go to a Panda Express in Lafayette, but have been to this one a few times. I am usually disappointed at this location, for any number of reasons. On this visit, it was a bit of a rocky start. I go to the counter to order. There is one person ahead of me, so I figure it'll take a minute to get to me. It took several. There were 7 people that I could see, working. A manager at a table on her computer & wearing a headset (to monitor the drive thru, I assume), two people working drive thru, one guy cooking & two people at the counter. One of them was taking the order of the person in front of me & then ringing her up. She then came to take my order. There was another girl who seemed to be just taking temps of the food. The line grew to 4-5 people behind me. The food was as good as it always is. I got the chow mein w/ the grilled shrimp. I didn't notice it at the time, but when I took a drink of my iced water, sometime later, it tasted funny. I had my wife (reluctantly) smell it. We both thought it smelled like fish!! The food looks fresh and tasty. The staff is nice and efficient, and the ambiance of the place is nice and quiet when it's not busy. We had to move to a different table due to the dining room area floor and tables were dirty and the bathroom didn't have paper towels to wipe your hands after you eat. I know rush hour can be busy, but it'll be nice to have someone check the dining area and bathrooms to make sure it's clean and stocked up for customers. read more

I have come a few times lately and have been surprised with the service and taste of food. Sometimes the meat is not as crispy as I would like but overall the taste is good. Seriously cannot give this restaurant enough praise!! Their service is amazing, the food hits the spot, and prices are great!! Anytime I need a pick me up, this is the first choice of food, whether it's the Rangoon, Spring Rolls, or Orange chicken, I'm sure to be in a better mood. This is also my go to drive thru since I'm my mind it's a lot better than typical fast food. If you stay and eat inside there's definitely a fast food atmosphere, but I like to eat the food in my own home with my family and enjoy. You order at the counter and then pick your foods buffet style to be scooped in your choice of a bowl, plate, or large plate and can purchase individual dim sums or sides. You pay at the counter and then take the food to your seat. We often order online so that the food is ready for drive thru pickup when we are either off work or by the time we are able to get there. My favorites are by far the spring rolls for a dim sum, Kung Pao chicken or Orange chicken as an entree and lo mein as a side. And of course you get a fortune cookie ad a nice little bonus for the end of your meal. If you're like me, don't forget your sweet and sour sauce and soy sauce on the side! read more

I always have a pleasant experience at this location in their drive-thru and their customer service is genuinely delightful. They're so freaking fast in the drive-thru. The line can extend to the end of the drive and yet they still somehow manage to get me through in less than 5 minutes. That can't always be said of other fast food places, which seem to forget the about the "fast food" part. I do like myself some Panda Express. Orange chicken, yes please. Honey walnut shrimp, yes to that too. I don't think I've really had anything from Panda Express I didn't enjoy except for the egg rolls but I'm at fault for having really high expectations for my egg rolls (a result from eating my mom's super delicious homemade egg rolls since birth). I like their 2-plate combo, which is enough to last me two meals or to share. My friends recently catered from Panda Express and I was impressed again with the quality of the food, the containers they came in, and the serving ware provided. read more

I stopped by Panda Express for a quick lunch using their drive thru. I ordered the two entrée bowl with veggie fried rice and Sweet Fire chicken breast for under $7. My meal was hot, even after driving to my next stop. Their bowls are served in a sturdy to go container so you don't have to worry about a mess once you get to your destination. The young man working the drive thru was very nice. Thanked me and actually said "have a good day", not super common anymore. Everything I needed was in my bag without asking (soy sauce, fork/spoon and a fortune cookie). Sweet Fire chicken is advertised to be hot. In my opinion it wasn't hot. Spicy, yes but not hot. Fried rice was good and not overly salted like most Chinese restaurants. First off, our food was fine. It's Panda - nothing spectacular, nothing gross. I did however, turn into a somewhat embarrassing level of Karen today after visiting this Panda location. In my defense, I was very frustrated. A little background here: I live in Greenwood and the Greenwood Panda Express does not have a drive thru. The Southport Panda location has a drive thru and I didn't want to go inside because I didn't want to unload and drag children inside with me. So I went to the Southport location specifically for the convenience of a drive thru. From the time we got in the drive thru line until the time we got our food, we had waited 22 minutes. I didn't mind the wait - I knew when I pulled up what I was getting into because there were several cars ahead of me. That is not what bothered me. What bothered me is that once we got our food and got parked to eat (it's COVID time so yes, we eat in the car occasionally!), I discovered we were not given any plastic ware and had to go inside after all to get some utensils in order to eat. I sure as heck wasn't going to wait in the drive thru line again, which had actually doubled in length since we had arrived. The whole reason I went to this location was so that I would not have to unload children and take them inside with me and that's exactly what happened because of someone's lack of attention to detail. I get that mistakes happen but when working during a pandemic when ALL orders are either carryout or drive thru, making sure that orders have utensils in the bags should be a huge priority. They easily sell twice as much of that as anything else. My favorites are the noodles, orange chicken, mushroom chicken, and beijing beef. I like that you can get noodles, fried rice, or steamed rice and up to three dishes. I like the variety. The beijing beef is spicy, the orange chicken is sweet with a bit of spice, and the mushroom chicken is very mild. Favorite fast food drink is their peach green tea.
