This place is so delicious . You can go to the counter and order to go or they seat you from the hostess stand for dine in. Such chill vibes and the food is just amazing. Local ingredients even better. Customer service is always on point.

    Nice. Clean. Efficiently organized.

I was heading to nearby hospital for a visit. But had a moment to get lunch to-go. And, I've been craving a burger. I turned the corner and here is Indy's Burger Joint. I Yelped it to see what others said. All reviews were very positive. Immediately, I shut the car off, went in, and ordered a bacon cheeseburger with waffle fries. And, knowing it might bring a smile, ordered a banana shake for my wife who was convalescing at the hospital. Everything was very tasty. The ladies helping were very organized and efficient. One of the fellows at the grill was also very organized and kicking out lots of burgers. There are probably 15 tables to dine in. Most were filled. While I waited, several Door Dash drivers were doing a pickup. Those last two sentences are kinda like the body language telling you whether or not a place is worth a stop. Dictations were simple. Floors were clean. Restroom in good order. It's a place to get a really good burger. Many other "gourmet" sandwich options that look enticing. We will patronize again. Try it out!!!

Once again I ordered thru door dash and this burger arrived in pristine condition. I can only imagine ordering there in person. The fries were fresh and crispy. Foolproof. I will 10000% be back.

I read so many great reviews about this place that I had to try it for myself. I loved that they had gluten free bun options. My expectations were not met with the food itself. The burger was dry, as well as the bun. It needed more sauce, Mayo...something creamy. The fries were also just okay.

Walked in and was promptly greeted and seated by our server Tina. She was so sweet and inviting. This was our first time here after being told we needed to give them a try. The restaurant was very quiet and a great lunch spot. I ordered the Santa Fe burger. Burger topped with queso, pico, avocado and chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato and onions. It had a great flavor and could taste each topping. Hubby ordered the Indy's burger which has peanut butter on it and he was so excited to find a local place with peanut butter on a burger. Definitely will get again. Overall burgers were great only thing would make them better is another patty to give you more of the beef flavor. The fries were probably the best fries we've ever had. Tea wasn't bad but is a little watery. Also you can order any burger as chicken, turkey or veggie instead of beef.

Delicious burgers! So many options and fantastic service. This place feels like a small town staple for sure! My husband is a burger fiend - he approves and we will be back!

    BBQ Burger and Tots

This is my first visit to this establishment. From the outside appearance of the small building I was not expecting a hostess to greet me and seat me inside. I seemed to be one of the first to arrive so service was quick both with drink and food orders. The food did come out quickly as well. I read the menu throughly and decided to go with the BBQ Burger with the bacon, onion, cheddar cheese and onion straws. I love onion straws on a burger! I also added lettuce and tomato. I was surprised how good the burger really was even though I read several reviews beforehand. I also ordered the Tater Tots. They sure did not skimp on giving me a bunch of tots. More than I could eat for sure. They were fried perfectly. One thing missing from the menu was dessert. Even though Ritter's is right next door, I would have preferred ordering dessert here. Parking was no issue with plenty of spaces available. I did check out the restroom. It was clean and well stocked but old. Everything was manual, no automation on water, soap or towels.

I'm so confused. Why haven't I been here before? I live close, but something prevented me from crossing through those red, white, and blue decorated doors. I'm glad I took to Yelp to scope out the scene and finally visit! When you arrive, wait to be seated. When you're ready to pay, pay your waitress. The menu has been updated since the latest yelp pics, so I've uploaded all the pages (yellow, narrow booklet). I ordered the bacon cheeseburger since I'm a basic B, and I was thrilled! It was juicy, super filling (I considered taking half home - but no) and upgraded to the garlic parm fries. DO NOT BE FOOLED. The garlic parm fries are thicc bois. Bring your appetite. They are an upcharge, but you could share them easily with someone else. The fries are thick and soft. There were a couple of crispier ends, but overall if you want crispy fries you should probably request hard fried (or just say extra crispy). I visited alone, and at least half the diners were also solo lunch folks. Not an intimidating place at all. I also highly recommend the Mango Ice Tea if you liked sweet tea. I found it delightful, though a bit too sweet, so I asked for some unsweetened tea to cut it with and that was perfect. No complaints.

I was really excited to try this place after so many positive reviews, but my experience was only okay. My husband & I both got milkshakes, burgers & parm fries. Everything was just okay. The milkshakes were watery and not thick. I got chocolate but it was so light that it looked & tasted like vanilla, but it was confirmed to be chocolate. Nothing creamy or rich about it. The BBQ Burger and Chorioburger were also just so-so. Neither really had flavor or rich tastes that make you want more. I got a terrible stomach ache a few hours later from the food; something I never experience, so that was odd & disappointing. Pros: lots of parking, fast service, menu had a wide variety of options.

I call and ask for a manager . The woman who claims to be a manager says "what do you want" wooow ! What manager speaks like that !? I ask whom I'm speaking to she says " you call me , what u want" I said wow ... ied like to lknow whom I'm speaking to so i address you properly ... is this how you speak with everyone ??? She is Spanish fyi and the english is so bad nothing is gramatical my correct at all. Lucky for her my wife is Spanish and we both work in kitchens. So i ask if she would like to speak with her in Spanish so she can understand ? This woman says " I don't care , i understand . U want to speak manager what u want!!" With a tone. So i tell her my burger was not copies correctly at all and after her being this rude ied like a refund . She says " nooo that's your opinion ..people eat here ... don't care" and HÚNG UP !! caro food followed up with TOTAL TRASHY RUDE service vía phone and this was a "manager"??? I don't believe it so my wife and i will be going in to meet this rude woman . We have the photos of the disgusting good we thew away and I'll be demanding a refund now that this woman was rude enough to speak to us like she did . Just wow . Fire her or go out of business !! Seriously

We've driven by Indy's Burger Joint numerous times but didn't ever go in. We finally decided to try it for lunch and they didn't disappoint. The place was pretty much empty, but there were several people who came in to pick up their orders. The fries were crispy and covered in sauce (you have to upgrade to the Parmesan fries). The burgers were juicy and had lots of flavor. The pretzel bites were lightly fried and the cheese sauce was so good! My husband got tater tots instead of fries and they were light and crispy. I don't like tots normally, but these were actually very good. We loved that there were lots of different burger selections! We'll be back!

Quality Burgers for the low. Very clean restaurant with fast service almost resembling a diner. If you're craving a good quality cheeseburger, this place is it. We had the bacon cheeseburger with ltop and a side of garlic parm fries. The cheeseburger was juicy and flavorful as expected, very tasty. We also had the choriburger which was very savory and delicious as well. I had this with a side of waffle fries which were average but not bad. It's a solid place if you're craving a quality cheeseburger. Also had a mango lemonade which was a little too sweet but not bad. Overall 4/5!

I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. The food is always hot and fresh and delicious. The service is outstanding and everyone is so friendly. I love they have iceberg lettuce as the lettuce wrap option!! Can have fruit or broccoli as a side if you don't want their fries. However I must say you have to order a side of the house sauce!! It's not to be missed!!!

Tried Indy's Burger Joint tonight. Food was fresh & very tasty!

We started with the Angry Mac & Cheese, which we had never tried before, and wow -- it was phenomenal. The homemade cheese sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly smooth without separating. The andouille sausage and shrimp were cooked beautifully, and the cream sauce had incredible flavor with just the right subtle hint of spice. Absolutely perfect comfort food with an elevated twist. We sat outside on the patio enjoying the beautiful weather during Indy 500 race week, and the atmosphere could not have been better. Every table around us was full of people laughing, enjoying lunch, and soaking in the energy of the city. It was one of those perfect Indianapolis afternoons. For our mains, we both ordered the Cobb salad -- one with grilled chicken and one with fried chicken -- and both were outstanding. I still can't believe how large the "small" salads are! Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and the homemade ranch dressing was absolutely delicious. The service, as always, was top-notch. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. From start to finish, it was such a fantastic lunch and overall experience. We loved every minute of it and cannot wait to come back!

The hamburger patty was thick and juicy and cooked the way I'd prepare it myself. Portions were more than ample. After finishing my "feast" it was time for dessert, a Root Beer float, served in a tall larger glass with an ample portion of ice cream. I would suggest ordering it for two...it's that big. All enjoyed their burgers and we're looking forward to returning next year. * I purposely didn't review the other meals served, as they will be doing their own Yelp reviews.

There's a bit of grunge aesthetic too. I opted for the patio seating on the nice day that I visited. Service worked pretty quickly and friendly. I got a mocktail to start that was cranberry, orange, and pineapple juice. It was pretty yummy. I was far more impressed by the foooood! My partner and I split a burger and Mac and cheese. The size small was $9 and was honestly huge. It was definitely enough food for two. The burger we got was also a good size, and came with a lot of shoestring onion on top. The burger was $18 but it's a 10 oz patty which is practically a better deal than most other burgers out there. I'll be back again sometime for sure!

Convenient location. Zero proof drinks. There were some reviews about long wait times, non-toasted buns and the cost but the write up of the place itself gave me nostalgia vibes for a place called Cobra Burger in Richmond, VA so I had to try my luck. I really wanted to love this place, as I've not found anything like Cobra Burger here in Indy. When we arrived, around 6:45p on a Thursday, the patio had a good amount of people, but inside was pretty empty apart from the bar. We sat at a two top in the bar area. The music was at a pretty low volume, especially considering the amount of reviews that said otherwise. Our server was also bartender, so it initially took her a couple of minutes to come over, which is understandable. She took our order for drinks and then after bringing them back for the food. She was nice and provided good service although juggling tables and the bar, plus she was also pregnant. It took a very long time for us to get our food (close to an hour), despite three guys working the line in the kitchen, banging out burger after burger. The food arrived, hot and correct. Both my husband and I were disappointed that the reviews were right and the burger buns were not toasted. Non-toasted burger buns actually make the burgers harder to eat and less enjoyable. My burger was decent for a non-handmade vegan option; for the price my expectation is amor sophisticated/handmade creative one, but I am thankful that they had a vegan option at all. My husband thought his burger was just okay and that he's had better ones around Indy, so we probably won't be dining here again. For the size of the burger, they should bring you ample napkins without having to ask because it is very messy trying to eat them. For two burgers with fries, one small mac & cheese, and three beers (one regular and two nonalcoholic) before tip the bill was over $80. Now, if the food was top-tier fantastic, I would say fine but being that it was more middle of the road it's a bit pricey.

To my surprise, we walked in and someone who I'm assuming is the manager looks our way and says to the hostess that they're only doing takeout. He clearly made that decision as we walked in. The dining room was empty except one couple who hadn't received their food yet. I could understand if it were 30 mins before, but an hour means you should just close at 9 pm everyday. A couple walked in minutes after us and were also given this information, but decided to leave instead of order. I did, however, order for my son since I opted out and he was looking forward to eating here. This was not how I expected to celebrate my son's birthday but was forced to even though they had roughly eight people "working" and were unable to accommodate three. This really left a feeling of disdain that I can't shake. I have no desire to patronize this establishment in the future as I was not welcomed during business hours this time. Hopefully this is a learning experience and they'll choose to service customers within reason.
