I went for dinner. I waited a solid minute before anybody turned around to even greet me or take my order and the gentleman who took my order looked like he didn't know if he was supposed to be doing that or not. I ordered the four piece chicken tender meal. One of the tenders had a tendon, unfortunately going all the way through it and it was inedible. So I walked up to the counter and just asked a manager if I could just get that one replaced. He called back to the kitchen asking for two fresh tenders and told me that he would bring them out to me. So I went and sat back down. I was sitting there for nine minutes and 32 seconds before I got up and walked back up to the counter and I was like hey I was just checking on the tenders and he turned around and he goes. Oh I'm sorry he called back for more. I went and sat down. A gentleman brought me out four tenders. The table that sat down next to me ordered a chicken sandwich and you guys brought them out a cheeseburger. I'm not sure what is going on in that restaurant, but that was actually probably the worst experience I've ever had in a Culver's. There were several tables that were dirty. I had to search to find one to be able to sit down. I also thought the food was supposed to be made fresh with every order and my meal should have taken approximately 6 1/2 minutes to make because it was chicken. My food was out before I even found a table. I will not be back to this location. The gentry family needs to look into the staff at this location because something is going on. read more

Awful, disgusting. There are no adults or decent human beings working here. There is no soap in the men's restroom. I just witnessed an employee go into the restroom, come out 5 minutes later, did not wash his hands in the kitchen and did nothing to address the situation of no soap in the restroom. So these idiots are preparing food without washing their hands after using the restroom. It was the same idiot who took my order and got my order wrong. All these young male employees are standing around talking and not doing their jobs. read more

Called to see if they would honor a Culver's coupon from another IN location. A Manager said they could honor the coupon. After driving over & making our order, the very rude and obnoxious Owner, came to the window, told us he would not honor the Culver's coupon from another IN location, told us off and slammed the drive-through window and then walked away. He could have said, sorry for the inconvenience ladies but, we will not be able to fully honor the BOGO coupon. Perhaps he could have offered us a discount or anything besides rude behavior. I will not be returning to this Culver's restaurant and I will tell the story of our treatment to help discourage others from being treated in the same disgraceful manner. read more

I cannot tell you how many times I've come here and left with either the wrong food or absolutely no sauce. Tonight I ordered pretzel bites as a side for my shrimp and a 4 piece tender with cheese curds and honey mustard. Not only I not get any honey mustard, but they somewhat gave me another 4 piece tender instead of pretzel bites. For $40 my food should be right and I shouldn't consistently have fucked up orders. I've worked at a Culver's before and you literally have to be braindead to hand out the wrong food. What a disaster, I won't be back. read more

Stopped in withe grandkids while the mom was gone, not happy with several things here. This is my second time at a Culver's so I kinda knew what to expect. The menu is pretty extensive. My wife had a roast beef sandwich that she was very pleased with. I had a mushroom and Swiss burger that was great. They are also known for their cheese curds and they, too, we're very good. It was busy and very noisy. All the workers were pleasant and helpful. Most Culver's are good, but the service here is especially excellent. They are really good about remembering to give you condiments. This location is also good about making sure their burgers aren't too greasy (I've that issue at the Franklin Park, IL location a lot.) Their burgers and fries are really good, but I've mixed success with some of the other main courses. I know this isn't this location's fault, but their chili cheese fries would be better with some nacho-type cheese so they wouldn't get as congealed. I'm personally not a big custard fan, but I love when their pumpkin shakes come back in the fall. Scoopie kids meals are great even if you're an adult because you get small fries, the same size burger, and a small scoop of custard. Then if you save up 10 tickets on the bag you get a free meal. read more

Really like this place. Usually get a kids meal do I can do the frozen yogurt. Nice friendly staff, usually very clean. The kids really like it, nothing extraordinary about it, but as fast food places go, I'll go here for a burger before other places. read more

This Culver's is horrible!!! I wish I could give 1 star!!! My food was overcooked, and the idiots put my food in the bag upside-down so things got smashed. Then started to make a mint Oreo mixer when I asked for simple chocolate Custard with Oreos in it. Instead of simply making me a new one, some genius decided to remake my mixer in the same cup with the reminiscent mint in it. I am literally allergic to mint and didn't notice til my 1st bite. My tongue is still swollen! I swear on everything holy that I will never eat at this place again and will do everything in my power to ensure that others know about the un sanitary procedures that exist. They don't listen they gave me a different burger then what I ask for and didn't give me everything I had ordered

I met my dear friend for lunch here! We had a dandy time! The floors were swept and there were no dirty tables. The ladie's facilities were clean which important to my friend as she needs to use it often because of some bladder control problems. The gals at the counter waited on us right away. Minutes later my food was brought to me and it was made just like I asked! I got grilled cheese. It was made so perfectly my mouth waters just even thinking about it now. Makes me want another one for din din! The fries I got with it were fresh. They are the crinkle fries and about as thick as my pinky. They are not straight like McDonalds and not thin like Steak & Shake. They are some good eats! My chocolate frozen custard was so deeeeeelicious! It wasn't all melty and it had a generous amount of toppings! I got brownies and hot fudge on mine! This meal was right up my alley! As we ate and visited, we saw workers cleaning up in the dining area. A manager even came out and said hello to all of the guests which was us included. He was ever so nice! I have to say that I am shocked and disappointed. My daughter was recently the victim of sexual harassment as someone she worked with sent her pictures of his private parts. These pictures were unwanted and not appreciated at all. It took her almost a month to draw up the courage to say anything due to feeling embarrassed and ashamed. She has cried over it and thought that no one would believe her. I forced her to say something to her bosses, (the owner and general manager) and was told by the GM that they would not do anything since it did not happen at work and they were unable to cover the guys hours. She requested not to work with this person due to being uncomfortable around this person due to their poor actions. She was told they could not accommodate her requests and that she was no longer needed. Really Culver's this is not acceptable to and not appropriate! read more

my mom and stepdad took my 2.5yr old son here about a month ago. and had a terrible experience. i wish i would have been with cause i would have said something. my stepdad is a cop and was in uniform, cause they met him there on his lunch break. well the person working the front refused to serve them. then my mom went back up with my son to get him the scoop of custard and the same person refused to help them yet again. that's absolutely uncalled for. i will NEVER go to culver's ever again ever. or at least, not the one in portage. read more

It's been a couple years since we have been to Culver's in Portage but we have a good reason. We use to go there fairly regularly but on my last visit, I found a rather long hair in my cheese burger. Our order was placed by the drive thru so of course, I didn't discover the hair until my family and I got home to eat. After I discovered the hair, I drove back to the restaurant and spoke to the supervisor on duty and basically I was only offered the cost of the burger. After trying to explain that I had to leave home in the middle of my meal with my family to drive back, I felt they could have been a little more sensitive. By the end of the conversation with the supervisor, she reluctantly offered a pint of custard. At this time, I just felt they couldn't see the customer's inconvenience (mine)by all this. I then asked for the owner's name and phone number. I called on the next business day and after trying a few times, I got a hold of the owner. I then explained the situation and got no more with the owner than with the supervisor. The owner admitted that finding hair in their food was pretty common which I didn't believe he told me, and if so, you would think they would take better precautions to avoid. Furthermore, he was pretty arrogant and stated they have such a great rating on customer satisfaction. In the end, he didn't care to compensate me with anything for my trouble and said so out right.
