I really like the staff at this location, they're friendly, fast and patient but I wish the food was fresher. I don't know why but lately the portions they give are so much smaller, not cool! And for gods sake please stop putting so much cabbage or whatever that is in the veggies! Put more zucchini and green beans, stop being cheap. I ordered a chicken roasted string beans and a Beijing beef, but they gave me two teriyaki chicken, so I believe a customer was also assigned the wrong meal, they asked my name when ordering, and they prepared meals, call me later and get "mine" meals. Now that COVID-19 is so serious, it is impossible for me to open my lunch box outside and confirm my meal. I don't think it's difficult to prepare meals in the order of the line and serve them to customers in order. Why do I have to spend money on things I don't like to eat, and everyone needs work. Chinese fast food. It is Panda Express, what kind of service do you think you would get? I've been in the retail/food long enough to know quality customer service. We came here for lunch and we walked in with no line. Immediately, we were asked if we wanted to sample anything. (Awesome, they're attentive) BUT then before I even got my sample in my hand they asked what we wanted to order. They made me feel rushed. I usually like to sample certain items before I order them because majority of the time their food is old. The quality & freshness is definitely not there. When I started ordering my side and entree, they'd rush me again and immediately say "What else?" and I didn't know yet. The vibe I received from the workers was "impatience". I didn't appreciate that because they didn't have a line yet it felt like they just wanted us out of there. Their serving sizes are inconsistent. We've came here before & have received bigger servings. This is the first time where we felt ripped off. This location is clean and utensils and napkins are fully stocked so that was good. I've been to this Panda Express a few times to support the local school fundraisers. However after three terrible experiences I refuse to ever do business at this location again. They have absolutely no management, nobody is on the register, nobody is taking care of online orders, it's complete chaos. I placed my order at 2pm for pickup at 4:30. Most of the time the food comes out great. Sometimes their honey walnut shrimp come out with a soggy outer layer. They add like 4 shrimps on a kids meals which is to low in my opinion since your still paying the 1.50 premium. Other than that good place to eat and would come back. Their delivery services can be slow tho and the food and plate will be soggy. read more

Came here for the first time 3 nights ago and it was real busy as expected on a Friday night. I love how new it is and how while I was waiting in line, I was learning about the restaurants history on one of the tv screens there. There was no shortage of their most popular items like orange chicken and broccoli beef (which I didn't order anyway) so there was no real wait for food, just my turn to order what I knew I wanted and wait to pay. The staff was nice, but I gave 4 stars for the poor design for long lines. I felt extremely sorry for the people who sat between the food and the line , we were standing RIGHT behind them as they wee trying to dine on tier meal. A Panda Express just opened in the Alumrock area! I had seen it Here in this location before it opened... But they were still doing the construction... So tonight when I was trying to find a little place to get a snack... I looked over here and panda express had their lights on. As I got closer... I could see this place would be hard to miss with the giant panda outside! It was about 1030 at night and I went and looked at the available foods and tested a couple... I chose the Southwest fire chicken bowl... It was delicious... And it was late at night! I was surprised that it was still fresh at that late time. I was waited on someone by the name of Sandra... She was so happy and pleasant... What a joy it was just a talk to her! She gave me my change and I sat down to eat... I looked around and I counted seven employees bustling around cleaning the restaurant! They all appeared to be working very hard and were pleasantly interacting with each other! I'm so reluctant to come here but it's either Panda or Chipotle. The staff is friendly but very very stingy. But that's not something new, I feel like they're stingy at any Panda location. There's space for the two entree's and they generally only fill it about half way. I don't know about you, but at other fast food chinese joints, they generally put so much of the entree item in there that it's over flowing into the rice/chow mein. I love Panda but this was an experience to remember! The staff was rude, the place was dirty, portion size small and there was very old rice. There was a line of course and no steamed rice only brown or fried, the chowmein was burnt so the manager threw it out and had to remake another batch. And now a new recipe for the fried rice has CORN and lima beans, it's completely changed! (And maybe not for the better) I've given this location a fair chance now returning 5 times, but this will definitely be my last, in the end they forgot to put the egg rolls in the bag. Wish I could give zero stars. Placed an order around 5pm on the app for 545 today. Got there at 545. Order wasn't ready. Checked the app it said ready in 11 minutes. Asked employees what the issue was and couldn't get an answer. The 11 minutes passed I asked again. Still working on it. Another 10 minutes pass I ask again only to be ignored by their staff. Finally got the order at 630 after waiting 45 minutes for an order I placed 45 minutes in advance and an hour and a half before actually receiving it. To top it off the employees are rude and are acting like they're doing me a favor by prepping the food. Pandas food is what it is so not gonna comment on the food.
