Such a convenient location in the South Hill area! The staff gave a warm welcome as soon as I walked in and I was able to pick up my online order very quickly. Although it was a brief interaction, one of the staff made the experience personable so it was nice coming in to pick up my order. They accurately got my order, the taste was delicious, and the amount of food was great. They were able to fulfill my online order quickly as well. I love the food at Panda and always feel great afterwards, so I kmow my body tolerates it well. The location on Southeast Blvd is so close to where I live and I really like that. BUT.....the service is HORRIBLE. I went there last night and it was the same thing again. I took the time to order online and pay for my 45 dollar order for my family. I waited at the pick up spot to only be IGNORED once again. There were two other guys waiting also. Their pick up system is horrible. They put ordering customers in front of them as their priority. The pick up people are looked at as a second priority. Maybe because they already have my money. I have over 45 years in having my own business and in healthcare. I don't know how this place even stays in business. Either increase your staff or make an actual PROCESS for those picking up their online order. What a concept! It will be a long time before I go through that again. There was no teriyaki sauce in our order and that makes a big difference in an order.... Not having any sauce to put on your chicken: I don't know when they started separating the sauce in the order but all I know is that they need to make sure they put sauce in people's orders. After the pandemic, this restaurant (on the 29th at Southeast Blvd) has not recovered well. The prices went up, but quality of food has come down a lot. I used to like the chow mein noodles as a side, but they have lost that good taste. I used to eat there at least once a month, but after giving it 3 chances, I'll probably skip it altogether. I asked the manager if there is a problem with anything, but she assured me everything is ok. Today was the 3rd time. I left disappointed and promised myself no more visits to Panda. The noodles are so bad, I threw them away, they tasted as if cooked in dishwater. The chicken had so much fat, it took a while to clean it up. Everything was tasteless and lots of sugar too. the food over all smelled so bad like cleaning chemicals it burned my eyes. I got the steamed white rice and it was so hard so should've just cooked it at home. This is about the Panda on 29th and Southeast Blvd especially. Most Pandas I have visited are inconsistent at best, but this one stands out, and not in a good way. The entree's are pretty consistently mediocre, mostly lukewarm at best. But the servers vary greatly at this location. They scoop, oops too much, they take some off. Or, lesser is safer. They must always be admonished by management about the portions. Your want half rice and half noodles, its always mostly rice and some noodles. Obviously rice is less expensive that noodles. Todays visit was the worst. I took my order out. I live 5 minutes away. I came directly home and my order was just warm overall, one entree was warm, one was cool. Done with this place, no more wondering what I'm getting and how little. read more

We usually have to clean a tablet ourselves before we sit down, I think mainly because it's such a busy location the staff doesn't have enough time to bus tables so often. I've been gong to the Panda at this location since it opened. It has had it's ups and downs as far as quality and service goes. They had a bad run a few years back where they were essentially out of everything when you walked in. You had to wait to get what you wanted or take the dried out dredges that were available. They seemed to have solved that problem so the quality is back up. What I've notice over the past few years is the size of their takeout container has progressively shrunk. It is literally half what it was when they first opened. I just shrunk again! It's close to $10.00 for two entrees if you get an "up-charged" item. It's getting to be close to the cost of a sit down restaurant but you don't get near the same amount. I still like their food and the convenience but I certainly now will think twice about going since the quantity has become so small. I shouldn't be hungry after eating there like I was last night. Bring back the larger container. We are noticing the shrinkage. read more

Ummm... seriously? No spoons, knives, or chopsticks?! How am I supposed to eat? This has deeply stressed me out and as a result, I am writing a lengthy letter to the Panda Express Corporate center in California to express my disdain. As a person of Chinese descent, going to Panda Express was a joyful return to my culture and it has been molested by orange chicken that tasted like it was leftover chicken refried in flour two days later and no proper utensils to eat with. The employees (there were two who helped me) were indeed nice but not even they can compensate for the poor lack of utensils and bad orange chicken. I do know orange chicken is not actually an authentic dish (shocking! to some of you maybe?, it was to me!) nor are fortune cookies, but come on - at least you could have gotten that right when it's the most popular dish! Wait.. I did have one complaint about the nice employee who put the more expensive dish into my plate as she muttered it would cost extra... I'm sorry, but did I even have a chance to say "no thanks" or "never mind"? NO! Yes I may be a stereotypical submissive Asian lady who thinks to just let it go but next time, you will see my American side come out as I rail on you about how rude that was. Do not order online! We ordered online it took three times as long to get the food as it would have if we walked in the door and they forgot part of the food so we had to go all the way back up there meaning our food was now cold by the time we got to eat it. On the phone they told us they would make it better for us next time we got there they gave us the food that they had forgotten in the first place and did nothing for next time so we paid all this money waited extra time to get it had to go up there twice and then got to eat cold food don't order online. We were waited on right away. The food is good. The Orange Chicken in a bowl was a decent size portion. The only problem I had was I didn't get the correct drink. I was asking for a peach drink.
