A typical Chinese takeout place, but it's better than most in a few ways. Staff is always friendly, unlike a couple of other places nearby. Food is from good to really good. I particularly like their lo mein. Portions are average-sized but the quality makes up for it. Service is quick. I've never had an issue of them messing up an order. Ambiance is what it is - pure take-out, bathroom blocked off, no real seating other a table to sit and wait for food to be ready. Note: they take credit cards but not AMEX. I was there on Sunday night and I ordered the Hawaii 5 0, They totally screwed up my order. I called and complained and they were useless in resolving or accepting the fact that they messed up my order. I'm NEVER returning to that place. Good Bye and good riddance! read more

This place always churns out excellent service and food quality... I base this on how greasy their fried rice is, but in their case, grease-less! I used to order from a different place when I first moved here, but now my family exclusively orders from Panda Garden. They gave me a 2 liter bottle of soda with our next order because they said we didn't get one the last time we did, so that was cool. read more

Usually our go to for take out. Food always arrives hot (not warm but hot). Abd almost always within 15-30 minutes. The girls who answer the phone are quick and efficient. The telephone system they use memorizes our phone number and choices. (House mustard need not be reminded by us, they already know as well as the free choice if diet cola soda when we order enough for an extra ($30 or more) The food is consistently good as opposed to other take out places where one time its good and other times, not so much. The ribs, rib tips and noodle dishes are excellent. One favorite of ours is "seven stars around the moon. Its shrimp, pork, and chicken. read more

I'm confused on sesame chicken coming with bones in it or are they suppose to be boneless? Today I walked over to pick up my order and was told credit / debit machine was not working. I had to walk back to my apartment to get cash and return. I should have been told over the phone it was cash only for the day. I ordered won ton soup. When I returned home the lid was not properly sealed and I lost 25% of soup. I ordered the house special quart size fried rice for $9.25 which is outrageous for rice. I was given two small packages of duck sauce and one package of mustard for an order that should be for four people. Food is good, not great. Prices going up, service going down. read more

My family and I have been ordering from here for several months. It is consistently good. I would go as far as saying best steamed (or fried) pork dumplings. W e have tried a bunch of other takeout places and they were all way more expensive, and very inconsistent. We usually order the standard chicken and broccoli, wonton soup, tofu with mixed vegetables, chow mein, and moo shu pork. Never disappoints. oh and if you order a certain amount you can choose Free General Tso's chicken - Its so tasty : ) I would highly recommend this pace!! read more

Panda Garden - Steamed vegetable dumplings. - Chinese Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Got it for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. The food is not overly salty and not full of MSG (unheard of at Chinese take outs). We got the boneless spareribs and the general tso. General Tso was good and actually tastes like chicken. The crab ragoons were melty with bits of crab sticks, best I've ever had. Really pleased. Will definitely order again; I hope they're consistent. read more

I don't know if they're doing dine in, but the 3rd Avenue location in Fort Hamilton is open and delivering. My delivery came quick and was hot. I ordered the special lunch, which is a very good deal. I ordered chicken with black bean sauce, which was a bit under spiced could've had more black bean could've had more salt or soy, but the vegetables were very fresh as well as the chicken. I asked for a pork fried rice with it, but I got vegetable fried rice. It came with an eggroll, which was crisp and fresh ingredients inside. I will order from them again. read more

This was our go to Chinese takeout restaurant. My wife and I have had mixed feelings with consistency of certain items but overall it was okay and served its purpose for Chinese delivery. The delivery is always super fast. The restaurant is only two blocks from my apartment but we've always received our order in about 20-25 minutes. The food,however, has become a bit flavorless the last few times. We really enjoy the steam dumplings and hot and sour soup. General Tsao's chicken has been hit or miss. We ordered last night and the soup and dumplings were good. The fried rice was really bland and with frozen veggies mixed in which didn't add anything to the flavor. It was basically like eating white rice. The reason I rate it 2 stars and won't be going back is because I returned today to get another hot and sour soup, which works miracles if you have a cold, and they ignored me as I waited in person at the counter. First they told me to come back in 10 minutes because they weren't open yet. Fine, I took the dog for a bit of a longer stroll and returned in 15 minutes. So now it's round two and both people behind counter in kitchen saw me and ignored me for about 5 minutes. Then another customer came in. As we both stood at counter waiting to be served another employee comes out and and takes the order of the guy clearly standing second in line behind me. I was amazed. I walked out and went to the next closest place. That kind of service for simply mediocre food is totally not worth it for me. read more

I went today and order a shrimp fried rice you better pay attention to these people because they will spit in your food when you are not looking or while you looking. So my food was finished cooking and the guy left it went to the back and turn on the water while spitting in another pan and he came back with the new pan and threw my food in the pan he brought from the back just so that he can put it in a box to serve... when I saw that I left. It's freaking distgusting never and I mean never will I eat their food again. I guess they did that because the last time they took a hour and half to deliver my food and I called and said I didn't want it anymore. Whatever their reason is I will be calling the health department tommorw!!!! read more

Panda Garden is SO good. I have tried several items there and love them all. The restaurant is clean and quick. I usually order extra crispy fried-tofu with broccoli. I have also ordered fried vegetable dumplings, vegetable lo-mein and vegetable and tofu soup and all of them have been very good. The prices are so good for the amount of food you get. I can eat a lot of food and I usually have some left over for the next day. While you wait, they have newspapers, a lot of mirrors and a fish tank, so you never go bored, haha. I moved away from Brooklyn 2 days ago to unknown parts in the great white north. Of all the things I could have ordered, all the food that to me said home in my 2 years in Brooklyn, it was Panda. I have been coming here since I first moved to Bay Ridge, and yes, I have tried every single chinese restaurant from 84th street to 100th street, and yet, I always find myself coming back to Panda. I think its because the food is consistent, their wontons are the best I have ever had, and I had them with every order (probably over 100 times) the hot and sour soup is just amazing (probably had that over 100 times too) and the lo mien is exactly what i expect lo mien to be. Most of my reviews are funny in some way, I make them jokingly, but in this one I am a bit somber. Of the few things I am really going to miss in Brooklyn, Panda garden is one of them. They got to know me well enough that they would always throw a little bag of almond cookies in my order for me, or put a soda in there even though I didnt order it. They knew I was moving, and when I called and ordered the last time, the owner said she was really sad to see me go, and we sat on the phone and talked for 5 minutes. Once, I had forgotten to put my trash cans out on trash day, and the delivery guy actually ran up to my house and did it for me, it was soo nice. I hope these people everything in the world. In the end, I have to say, Panda Garden in some ways was Brooklyn for me, and I hope everyone tries it with an open mind, a hungry stomach, and a bit of joy. :) read more

Icky Icky ick. This has got to be the worst chinese food I've ever had. I suggest if you're looking for basic cheap chinese food to in this area to go for Win Hing on 4th ave instead. I tried the general tsos chicken and it was super soggy and crumbly and the sauce was gross, the rice was as greasy as possible, and the wonton soup tasted really bland like water. read more

I've lived in Bay Ridge my entire life, and I don't really remember a time before Panda Garden. I order from here extremely often. All of my go-to menu items are delicious and very consistent. I've tried most of the Chinese food joints in the area, and Panda remains number one. Owners/staff are super professional. read more

I've had takeout here several times and have only been disappointed once with a broad noodle dish with chicken. That was dreadful and hard to even eat. Otherwise I've been very happy with every other item I've ever ordered here. The prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are mostly large. The wonton soup has never been overly salty. They serve pretty standard Chinese food but the quality has been exceptionally higher than some other restaurants I've been to. read more

Love these guys!!! My tale with Panda Garden starts this past Thanksgiving. My wife and I said let's do our usual and order Chinese so around 7pm we go out to Ha Ha's/Q Star or whatever it is now BOOM closed ok. We walk past Peking Kitchen,Mid China, Win Hing all closed. I said well they enjoy a day off and we turn to 3rd Ave and I see lights of Panda Garden we walk to the door it is open an A rating. I am starting to choke up at this point. So we place our order and dive into our meal. My wife and I both remarked how good this is and how it wasn't loaded with MSG or an oil refinery on a plate. Panda Garden gets very high marks from us and I wish them all the best. read more

Panda Garden has always been one of our household favorites. But they were recently sold and the new owners have managed to keep the affordable prices, add speedier delivery and now rate an A which is posted on the window. New management is keeping the tradition of warm and friendly service. My favorites are sesame chicken and the dumplings. Give Panda a try, for sure! read more

Usually I would give this place 4 stars. Tonight which is a Monday placed an order for delivery at 6:30 pm...order came the first time at around 7:15. My husbands order was fine. I order broccoli with brown sauce Wrong they send broccoli with duck sauce!! Call them they send broccoli with no sauce, no rice... At this point it's 8:00 and I'm pretty much over it. My husband calls again and tells them he will no longer be ordering from them( he has Chinese 3x a week at least for lunch ) The guy calls back ... Please let me make it right. This is a joke to me. Ordered takeout for the first time. The food arrived fairly quickly and was still hot. My biggest complaint is that they skimp on the meat/seafood portions and fill you up on veggies and rice. Our shrimp combo dish only had 3 shrimps and my chicken and broccoli barely had any chicken. Wouldn't ordered from there again. read more

This little Panda Garden is all I could want in a Chinese restaurant. It has an "A" for the sanitary dept inspection, delicious food. (I get fried tofu often, and cold sesame noodles.) One of the best things about them is a funny little thing that I just *want* when I order from a restaurant, especially Chinese, because Chinese food is near and dear to my heart: the ordering process is peaceful. Calm. Friendly. I even feel like if I sit and wait there for pick-up, the woman smiles at me like I'm a cute young woman. They are my go-to spot for Chinese, after having been a LOYAL fan of Win Hing, which also has great food but seems to break me out consistently. (Yep, acne. Boo hoo.) read more

Horrible isn't even the word to describe my experience. I wanted to use my card which required a $10 min okay fine. So I ordered from the combination menu and I asked for Shrimp with Cashew nuts. I mentioned to the woman how I didn't see this one on the menu although they did have the Chicken with cashew nuts, and asked her if I can have it with the Shrimp. She says okay. I also ordered something else. I paid all together $12 and change. So I come home open my meal and I realized they had given me Chicken (I cannot have chicken or pork). So I went back and I told them what happened and the lady immediately started to accuse me that I ordered the chicken and that if I wanted shrimp I had to pay $2 extra. So I started to get mad. She then calls over someone else who says "you ordered chicken" and I said why would I order something that would end up making me sick ? And he says okay Shrimp, $2 extra. End of the story I did not pay the $2 but I also mentioned how I would not come back. Btw, when I get home I had LESS food in my plate with the shrimp order then when they gave me the wrong plate!!! Do yourself a favor...GO SOME PLACE ELSE. Also check the fish tank, then decide if you would want to eat anything that they cook. read more
