I ordered roast pork fried rice and boneless spare ribs. Simple and delicious. I also got the edamame which came plain or possibly lightly salted - either way I put my roasted garlic blend on them at home. They seemed fresh and popped at the right time if you know what I mean. The rice wasn't full of the usual stuff you see in a lot of like foods around here. That stuck out to me. The boneless spare ribs weren't dripping in sauce which was nice. They also were also not dried out the next day for leftovers. I'd say this place is def worthy of the high reviews they've received lately! Seems unassuming from the outside- a bit smoky inside but not the burning smoky- a stir fry smoky!

On that day, I really enjoyed my Miso Soup (a perfect small portion to warm me up) and Teriyaki Tofu, although it came with a ton of onions that I did not care for. It came out sizzling hot and seemed to continue to cook after it was on my table, so the onion flavor became really strong and almost gave me a headache, but I ate around it. The veggies were fresh and the tofu had a great crispy breading on it. The sauce was very thick and a little went a long way - I almost wish it were a little thinner so it could spread more evenly across my food to give it some moisture. Today I ordered takeout online through the Seamless site. It said food would be ready in 10-15 minutes, which felt crazy fast. Lo and behold, about 12 minutes after I placed my order, I got a text that it was already ready for pickup! I couldn't grab it until well over 20 minutes had gone by, and even by the time I got home, everything was still perfectly hot and nothing had to be reheated. A young man gave me my order and I was in and out of the plaza in 60 seconds or less, so efficient and no wait! I tried the Teriyaki Tofu again today because I really did love it, but keep forgetting to ask for no onions. I also got the Peanut Avocado Maki Roll with Spicy Mayo - I've never seen this combo for sushi and had to try it! The seaweed had a really strong flavor that surprisingly overpowered the peanuts, how odd. I almost wish this came with some sort of peanut sauce to really double down on the flavor! It was good and fresh but a little less exciting than I thought it'd be. Their menu has a wide range of both Chinese and Japanese dishes. There's plenty of parking in the shared lot, and you have to go down some steps to the bottom floor of the plaza. The steps are a little tilted, so watch out. I'm not sure if there is a mobility impaired accessible way to access this floor. Prices seem reasonable and takeout was very fast. I'll be back!

They sell bubble tea now. People were taking out food from this place. I was the only person who had food sitting there. They kept the air conditioning real low. I was feeling a bit cold as it was freezing outside.

This is the best Chinese food in town and the lady there is the loveliest! Great service. I highly recommend the orange chicken, it's so fresh and delicious. The vegetable lomein is phenomenal. Good service and really good food. Cheap lunch specials starting at 11am consisting of entree, rice, and small can of soda plus fortune cookies of course. The place was very clean and the food took only about 15 minutes to make. read more

The boneless spare rib tips are chewy and taste mostly like cartilage, not to mention their small container doesn't even get filled all the way. The mount of meat in the small container is the amount you'd get in a lunch combination plate. Their fried chicken wings have little flavor and aren't equally proportional. 2 of my 4 wings were significantly undersized. They also chop the tips off the larger wings, and I enjoy my tips. That experience and extra meat was taken from me. I typically go to Yang Zi Jiang, and this is exactly why. Rather skip Chinese food altogether next time than to explore other options just because YZJ closes earlier.
