My favorite place to get crab Rangoon! Love their broccoli beef and shrimp in garlic sauce!

I used to like the food from this restaurant, but what I bought last night changed my mind. I ordered Kung Po chicken with pork fried rice and an egg roll. I asked for it extra spicy and she repeated it back to me. When I got home to eat, the eggroll was OK, the fried rice was lacking flavor and the entree was disappointing. It was not spicy at all, let alone extra spicy. The small pieces of chicken were overcooked and dry and the vegetables were mostly pieces of celery and an occasional tiny cube of carrot or a slice of tiny baby corn. I will not be back. This used to be better than any of the Chinese places in town, but not any more. read more

Ordered delivery at work in the office. paid for soda to not receive my item called the delivery driver and he had an attitude talking about I need to call Empire not him. Im calling the person who delivered my order and took my money and he should've handled it instead of the run around. I won't order here again. read more

I'll give this place four stars provided everyone reading this review is fully aware that although you can sit down here, I'm reviewing it as a Chinese takeout / fast food establishment, not a restaurant. The food serves its purpose - it's a affordable and reasonably tasty way to avoid having to cook tonight. In general I'd say it's a little better than Ruby's, but it's also further away for me, so I buy from Ruby more often. Their egg rolls aren't as good as Ruby's (though the last one from Ruby's was different, I'm hoping they didn't change them), nor is their hot and sour soup. The portions are on par with Chinese takeout everywhere, and by that I mean big. I usually have enough left over for lunch the next day if I don't stuff myself. read more

I have been to this predominately take-out Chinese Restaurant in the past and have always been pleased. I wanted a snack, so this time I ordered the Wonton Soup and an egg roll which was more than satisfactory. There were four ginormous wontons which were very good and the egg roll was tasty without the customary greasiness I have experienced elsewhere. The front of the house is very clean should you want to dine in and the unisex bathroom is immaculate. I would always return if I were craving Chinese Food and in the area. read more

Credit where it's due. Lunch specials are REALLY cheap. I had a boneless ribs with fried rice and a soda... $4.65 plus tax. I handed the man a fiver, and about ten minutes later, I had a quick lunch. Little things count - they were happy to add a little extra sauce for me when I asked for it. Their fried rice seems a little more authentic than most - not that atomic yellow stuff that tastes like it came from the supermarket. And Coke Zero... heck yeah! I can't say I go here as often as I used to - as I used to live down the street, and now, well, I don't. But if I need a quick Chinese fix in Manchester, it's usually found here. read more

This is a pretty difficult restaurant to review, because on one hand the food is delicious with good sized portions. But on the other hand the customer service is dirty poor. I called in yesterday and was put on hold for about 5 minutes while I heard everyone else getting their orders taken. Fine, maybe they're just busy. I hung up and called ten minutes later. When I did get someone on the other line I was told that "the kitchen is broken" so no orders were being taken... Ok but I just heard you take about 3 orders ten minutes ago. So I decide to go in person and guess what. THE KITCHEN IS FIXED AGAIN! IT'S A MIRACLE! So I place my order and I hear this asshat with a terrible flock of seagulls haircut behind the counter tell anyone on the phone that the restaurant is closed... At 6pm on a Sunday . I don't know who this guy is, maybe he's the owner, the owner's son, maybe he just snuck in but he needs to be removed like the cancer he is before customers give up on this restaurant forever. read more

I've been to this restaurant quite a few times. The food is mostly good but I'd stick with the Americanized dishes like General Tso and the fried chicken; difficult to mess up. The Crab Ragoon is not tasty. Not as good as other fast food Chinese such as China Pan in Farmington or Hartford #1 on Main Street. The service is a mixed bag. One woman can be rude which is why I no longer eat here. She also waits for you to present your preferred tender before telling you the price. If you use an American Express card she will charge you more than Visa and MasterCard. I'm sure this violates the card agreement between the issuers. read more

I was initially apprehensive to try this place based on its looks, but I looked past this one night and tried a couple vegetarian items on their menu. I ordered vegetable lo mein and veggie fried rice. The fried rice was pretty good, but there is room for improvement here. On the other hand, the veggie lo mein was to die for. I've eaten my fair share of lo mein in the past, and the lo mein from this place is def some of the best I've tried. Never thought I would be saying this. Bottom line- based on the couple of things I've tried so far, this place is a great place to get cheap Chinese. Customer service is also very good here. I've been here many times and the food is ok but I like that they use fresh veggies. However I went there last night and got the General Tso Shrimp for the second time. 1st time had good flavor although the thin crust fell off the shrimp but still good. Last night I got it and it was totally different. Thick pancake like batter on the shrimp that was totally disgusting. No sauce to speak of. I'm done trying this dish. I may try other dishes but I will not do battered food again. Way to thick and heavy. read more

So, I'll start off by saying that I did like this place. It was my go to delivery place here in Manchester for Chinese. But the last time I got from them, they forgot the Crab Rangoon. No biggie, mistakes happen. THEN, this time I called in a delivery, mentioned the Crab Rangoon, did NOT ask for anything free, just wanted to mention it so they didn't forget it again. Then when the order came they forgot our Sesame Chicken. I called to tell them and the lady on the phone (I assume owner) was EXTREMELY rude and insinuated multiple times that I was lying and it was here in the bags. We had 2 bags and it definitely wasn't there. I explained that to her and asked her send one over. She still insisted I was lying. I told her she could send an employee to check our order here in the apartment if she's so sure I'm lying. I think it's extremely inappropriate for someone working with customers/food/retail to call a customer a liar. She eventually sent over the Sesame Chicken. But she did hang up the phone on me. It came VERY quickly, and I assume that is because they did find the Sesame Chicken sitting there on the counter. My boyfriend called back before they brought it over to make sure that they were brining it (because she hung up on me) and apparently she apologized profusely to him. I would have given 5 stars if delivery minimum wasn't $12. A full meal is ~$8, so I end up having to purchase more food than I need to get delivery. I tip well and live close, so even an $8 order would be worth the driver's time. Good food, very fast service, and friendly people make it a pleasant option for quick eats. read more

In the past the food has been serviceable-not great but not bad. It is after all American Chinese. The staff, especially the woman who handles the counter and the gas broiler for the ribs has been friendly and works hard. I stopped in tonight for takeout and there was a new staff working the front end and the woks. The young man handling the front end and the broiler was sullen. I was reading the menu at the counter and watched as he dropped one halve of an order of barbecued ribs on the floor. He looked around and did not notice me watching him. He kicked the ribs on the floor underneath the prep table, gave the half full container to a man working the wok. The wok man scurried around to the other side of the prep table and placed the floored ribs into the container, closed it and handed it back to the man working the front end. They both laughed as he bagged the order and placed it on the counter for pick up. Need I say more? read more
