I did business with the owner Christine, doing business with her salon under the name 'Panda Girl' on the website Mercari (online auction company similar to ebay). She sold me two Aveda candles that were both rancid. I paid almost $300 for both candles. I returned them to her (with tracking to prove they were returned) and she refused to refund me my money and completely ghosted any interaction or messaging I tried to do with her to get my money back. She described herself as an "Honest and Trustworthy Salon Owner". But yet she scammed me out of $300. NUMEROUS attempts for her to make this right to me by refunding my money but to no avail. BEWARE OF THIS SCAMMER! I would not suggest anyone doing business with her based upon my experience. Unless you want a couple rancid Aveda products and $300 less in your bank account. read more

I've been a client at Panda my entire life, even since I moved from Nashua to MetroWest Massachusetts! I will always go back to Kate or Christine because of not only the great work they do on hair, but because of the relationships I've formed with them. Everyone I've encountered at Panda has been kind, professional, and talented. They use great products, keep a very clean salon, and don't try to sell you everything they're using. Their prices are also very good for the area, and I definitely feel like I am getting my money's worth. My hair is a mess. I've worn it short for so many years now and have to get it cut every four weeks cuz my hair grows like a weed. Well, for some reason or another, I had to cancel an appointment for two weeks ago, so now I'm going into week six. I look like Bozo (and for those of you who don't know Bozo, he is/was a clown with hair sticking out all over the place). Enter Panda and Christine. I started coming here 11 years ago after my ex-hairdresser's husband was really obnoxious to me (I used to go to her house for my cut), and I haven't regretted my switchover for one second. The establishment is about 1 mile away from where I used to work, and everyone I spoke to recommended Christine, who is very talented, takes her time, and makes the whole haircutting experience relaxing. I consider prices to be pretty reasonable. Panda is very clean, most of the stylists are friendly, and the shop has a myriad of good hair products...not to speak of People-type magazines. The only negative is that I needed a new hairbrush and was ready to purchase it until I noticed that someone must have "tried" it out. (This was the only brush that fit my requirements.) Ouch. Not gonna buy it. The owner was extremely embarrassed, as she hadn't known someone had already used it and replaced it on the display, so she ordered me a new one. So, my hair's still a mess but won't be after Tuesday. I no longer work 1 mile away from Panda, but until I get another extraordinary recommendation from Yelp or otherwise, I will continue getting my cuts in Nashua even tho it's a 15- to 20-minute drive from my house. Just thought that I'd use this place as my 50th milestone review because I like it so much. read more

I have been going here for over a year and I am absolutely over the moon when I walk out!! I can say for sure I am not your easy client!! I grew up with my sister as a hair stylist and really love new things!! I'm not easy at explaining what my idea is but my hairdresser get me every time!! Not many places do good colors but panda is amazing!!! Bernadette was amazing. I decided to dye my hair on a whim and was promptly mortified by own hack-job and started frantically searching for hair salons since I'm new to the area. I made an appointment at Panda based on the reviews I saw on yelp and was not disappointed. The atmosphere was contemporary and inviting, with a bowl of candy at the front desk - the good candy, as in sour patch kids. Bernadette called me over and I explained to her that I'm usually blonde and need to fix the dye job that I did. She was pleasant, very informative about what to expect from the process, and attentive. It was only when she stepped from behind my chair that I could see that she was very pregnant. "Nine months," she said with a smile. Girl, go you! To stand on your feet all day is back-breaking in itself. To do it while being nine months pregnant with a smile on your face is damn near impossible. To boot, she did a great job on my hair. Made my highlights look natural and really brightened up my hair. I can't wait to get a touch-up from her when she comes back from maternity leave! read more

I have been going to Panda since they opened. I have moved recently and travel 45 miles to continue to go there.The owner does my hair and she does a fabulous job, in my opinion and also that of my friends. I have on occasion gone to other staff and they have also done an excellent job. They are all talented, knowledgeable, and friendly. I have my hair highlighted/frosted and it has remained healthy due to the quality products used. The prices are competitive I think and the environment is relaxed and pleasing. Don't hesitate to go, as I have sent many people throughout the years and they are still going there and happy with the service. read more

I requested a stylist with lots of experience cutting fine, straight, thinner hair. I was assured that with over 20+ years of experience for most of the stylists, anyone there would be capable. One stylist with 4 years experience. Upon arriving, no one greeted me. Finally Kate introduced herself, a nice enough person. Obviously not with 20 years experience. She asked what I would like. My request was to not have a "Meme" hair cut but something with a little style. She remarked that I looked like I had a bowl on my head. I had grown my hair out for about a year so there was some length to work with. I was less than impressed when I was "finished", short, one side looked chewed off, wings on one side, top front longer than side, won't blend in anywhere (remember the straight, fine ? ) and "wiskers" at the bottom back. Absolutely no style!! Bad when friends don't even mention your hair when you obviously just had it cut! Clue that it was bad. Sorry Kate, but you just did not have the experience to cut my kind of hair. And as for friendly.......not one other person in the salon spoke to me. A totally disappointing experience. Worst salon and experience ever !! I went to this salon with high expectations after I read the reviews ! They can't give you the color you want and all the time they pretend they can ! The hairdresser Laura was confused about the color I want and was not confident about what she doing and asking other hairdressers all the time ! Like she never had an experience of coloring hair ! Add to that she treated me like she has no time for me even when I told her (this is not the color I want !) she simply said sorry and didn't want to fix the mess ! She even didn't want to blow dry my hair and wanted me to leave with a dump hair ! I asked her to blow dry and she was not pleasant at all to do it and repeating ( I don't have time for you !) . Never recommend ! Overpriced , no experience , just illusion ! read more
