I lived around the area and found this spot. I'm like I ain't got no cash, I double checked with the server first or I will turn around, found out they accept card or cash but appreciate more cash payment. lol This place serve Chinese food and Sushi, not really in the mood for cold food, so I decided to order Chinese. Hot and Sour Soup is little different, is actually more watery instead of thick and gravy, is actually more like soup. I give it 5/5 Egg roll and OMG, I'm not sure what happened, maybe when they marinate, they put the salt in one spot, it was soooo salty I give it 1/5 I ordered the Wur Shu Guy or Gay, I don't remember, but is Chicken, like fried Chicken and seem like lemon sauce on the side, it was a-okay, I give it 3/5 Service is...I never understand, and always in a Chinese restaurant, pay attention to your customers! Stopped back in but this time came for lunch. Found that they have a Decent amount of lunch specials that will give you an entree, rice and a soup or eggroll. Met up with a group of friends for dinner. This made my second visit! Forgot about the first until a friend reminded me. In all fairness it was over 1 1/2 years ago. Not sure how I could have forgotten about because after tasting the food it all came back to me. I've never seen Mongolian beef with no white onions in it...It had a little spring of green onion...So I ordered a small side of broccoli...Six dollars! And the beef tasted okay but I wasn't sure how fresh it was because it had a strange taste...Up charge for brown rice...Plus 3.50 for a tea! my wife's parents have been coming here since they first opened back in 2000 and it was our first chance to visit since we live in Orlando. The food is wonderful and this is a family that knows its regulars by name. If you enjoy good, American style Chinese and want to support a local business you definitely need to come here. Four of us dined there and it was a very pleasant experience. Two diners had special food needs (one vegan and one vegetarian) and the servers were very knowledgeable and attuned to that. (So many restaurants/servers don't know what's in what). I ordered the tofu pad thai and it was good but not great. It's been a while, and my review of this WONDERFUL choice for an UYE is QUITE overdue, but I want to be sure to leave no room for doubt that this was/is a GREAT place to dine casually on some of the best Chinese food I've had here in Ohioooooooooo in a WHILE, and worth the nearly 1hr drive!! We were a larger sized group, and our server gave us plenty of time to check out the menu. I'm happy I checked it out a bit online in advance, because there are TONS of great choices, many of which I just can't find in the Springfield/Dayton area. I ordered the spicy chicken dumplings, which weren't all that spicy, but still quite tasty. Next time, I might go for something more adventurous, possibly from their extensive sushi/sashimi menu. My Szechuan Eggplant entree (which is IMPOSSIBLE to find here in Springfield...) was AMAZING, perfectly seasoned and I had to FORCE myself the leave leftovers for the next day!! I ordered another favorite to go, cold sesame noodles, which provided several wonderful meals for me later in the week. GREAT service, reasonable prices, TONS of delicious choices, ESP. if you're gluten free (!!!) and although it was a "bit" far for me, I'm already planning a return visit, next time I'm in the area!! Grateful for the other reviews that convinced us to try this restaurant. The food was exceptional with an expansive menu and huge servings. They have light offerings with reduced oil that are just as delicious and flavorful as the standard menu items. We would absolutely stop there to eat when we are back in the area! read more

Mike G. put together a nice unofficial Yelp dinner here, and we had a great time. They put us at a big table by the window, and service was superb. David kept all the orders straight, drinks refilled, and multiple parties including kids happy. The place is pleasant, and the menu is absolutely huge. So many things I wanted to try. I already had my ideas narrowed down and then heard they had sushi too, and discovered even more intriguing stuff on that part of the menu. I settled for a piece of unagi to test the waters. It was tender and flavorful, perfectly made, and I'll definitely try more sushi next time. Had the summer rolls and they were huge, full of crunchy fresh veggies. Only a little shrimp, but still enjoyable, and with a nice peanut sauce. Next was the spicy walnut chicken. Turned out to be fairly similar to kung pao, with savory bits of tender chicken, only with walnuts, and water chestnuts. Just a hint of heat, but then I like spicy. Somehow I finished it all. Got the spicy dumplings and some lo mein to go. And when I saw the total I thought they had left a few things off- very reasonable prices for the amount and quality of food I got. We came for dinner last night and it was a first. Our server handled our group like a pro and even repeated orders to make sure he got them correct. The Mai Tai's are very tasty and come with umbrellas as they should. We handed them down to the young kids at the end of the table. The multi-page menu has so many selections that sound good and it really is hard to choose. I started with the Avocado Rolls (2) that reminded me of the ones that The Cheesecake Factory serve, but I liked these better. My entree was the Coconut Chicken with brown rice. You may also choose shrimp vs. chicken. It was delightfully delicious. I love coconut and appreciated the coconut flavor. Boyfriend had a bite and didn't think it was strong at all. I would definitely get this dish again. I also want to try the Malaysian Noodles, and the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. A great restaurant and close to home! read more

I'll start by saying, good Chinese food is subjective. That gap gets even bigger when ordering take out. Based on Panda House's rating and reviews, I'm assuming the dine in experience would be a few notches better. But I'm going to review my order. I ordered Salt n Pepper chicken with fried rice, Honey Chicken mild with white rice, Sesame Chicken with white rice and 6 egg rolls. All dinner portions. I live in Polaris so the drive home was less than 10 minutes. Salt Pepper chicken. Larger and flattish pieces of chicken but without that sweet salty crunch all the way thru that I'm used to. It was dry, missing the brown sauce that coats and gives it more flavor. Fried rice is soy sauce flavor only, no veggies. The Honey chicken sauce was good but the chicken was odd shaped. Again we're used to chunks of battered chicken swimming in a sweet sauce. We actually couldn't discern the Honey Chicken from the Sesame chicken. I made sure to ask for dinner portions but I'm wondering if I got the lunch portions (I ordered at 1:30pm). The egg rolls were ok. They wrapped in the Spring Roll skin rather than the traditional wonton wrapper. I paid $64 for all of this can just can't help but feel dissatisfied. Would I go back to Panda House? Probably not based on this experience. We usually order from New China on Sancus but they were closed for the holiday. Not my regular review but it's an honest one. read more

It was Mother's Day yesterday so my husband made a reservation for 6. We have gone here before but thought we would t get anything available so was pleasantly surprised they had some openings. Our waitress, Teagan (sorry about spelling) was sooo amazingly sweet. She had so much energy and was so upbeat. We ordered our food and got some spring rolls for appetizers. My husband and mom are vegetarians so lots of veggie options. My husband got mat pi tofu and mom got Szechuan eggplant. My dad got their cheesecake and shared with all of us. My daughters got chicken pad thai and vegetables and brown sauce. I got broccoli and chestnuts with chicken. I was going to get the option for shrimp but it would be in the white sauce and I preferred the brown rice. Wish they had an option for shrimp and use the brown rice. Anyways all in all the food was amazing but my daughter said pad thai was just ok. I would definetely come here again. Teagan was awesome and kept he king on us. I am pretty picky when it comes to food but I would definetely Come here again. Also brought food home since the servings were alot. Wish I got more rice though. read more

Never again. We used to eat at Panda House (3/4 yrs) and don't remember being disappointed. But $40 for Orange Chicken (where's the chicken?, it was 85% breading) and Kung Pao chicken with fried rice (only rice with soy sauce, no vegetables, no egg) and Crab Rangoon (decent but could have used more crab). I've been eating at this restaurant for years. The food and service are always exceptional. The food is based on old recipes that they have been serving up for many years. I highly recommend the spring rolls with the house made sauce and the General Tso's chicken. Both of these items are some of the best I have ever eaten. The service here is always fast and friendly. NOTE: Review is for take out only and not a dine-in experience. A quick six mile hike at Highbanks Metro Park had left me hungry and this place had been recommended by a fellow Yelper. I gave them a call and found they were still operating take out. I ordered Pad Thai (a go-to) and requested Thai hot/ extra spicy. I killed a bit of time and then made my way over. I'm a frequent customer in this particular shopping plaza, but had never been to Panda House. It was great to see they were taking social distancing seriously and had a table set up at the interior door, barring anyone from entering the actual restaurant space, including the usual hostess stand. A young lady advised me my food was still being worked on and took my payment while I waited. Upon getting my meal home I realized how robust the portion sizes are. This restaurant may be slightly higher priced than others in the area but they did not skimp on the food. The Thai noodles were cooked well and the soup and rolls had a great amount of flavor. My only disappointment with this meal, and it seems to be one that occurs often, is that even when you ask for Thai hot, many give you a dish that is medium to medium-hot. I understand that places attempt to cater to the masses, but I know my limits and I know how much heat I love, and this place was sorely lacking. I do look forward to going back and enjoying a dine-in meal as what I could see of the restaurant looked elegant and had a great ambiance. Panda House is consistently excellent with a huge menu and something for everyone. It's pretty great in person, with color changing lights and good service. However, we usually just do takeout since it's so close for us. Standouts here are the spicy chicken noodles (think cold sesame noodles only served hot with chicken added) and the Empress chicken (awesome battered fried chicken breast with a killer sweet red dipping sauce and a few veggies). The basics are also excellent - like chicken and broccoli (the gluten free version also rocks) and pork potstickers. Everyone needs a great Chinese restaurant in their life! The place looks fantastic. Clean, genre decorated, looks fantastic. The server was the very best. Clean, articulate, VERY mannerly. Not to overbearing, but right there right away for whatever you desired. The food was phenomenal! My wife wanted more time to match her dietary restrictions against their menu-the cook came out to go over it with her. I'll say it's twice the cost of the normal Chinese carryout we usually buy, and normally super pricey food will cost them a star from me-not this time. The food was so good, they can charge whatever they want, and we will still go back. All four of us loved every ounce of every plate. Keep up the good work. We will be back. Absolutely love panda, it's hands-down the best Chinese food I've ever had in Columbus. My family's been coming here for over 20 years and it never disappoints. Some of my favorite items include the chicken spring rolls, fried rice, noodles with sesame paste, sizzling rice soup and the orange chicken. Today's visit to Panda House was an unexpected surprise! My sister and nephew had been my chauffeur to my doctor today! I asked if they were hungry and wanted to get something to eat. As we were driving down Polaris Blvd. I suggested Panda House! They were very excited about this choice because they had never been there before! I said that they would be happy with their choice! The restaurant was not real busy at 3:00 in the afternoon but had quite a few customers.. Our wait staff were very helpful and friendly especially when Ben and Ruthie said that they had not been there before! The staff was very helpful and answered questions that they asked! They ordered food from the menu, things that I had never eaten before. I had my Wor Sui Gai (probably misspelled!). Everything was wonderful and hot! Ruthie and Ben's food was a little on the spicy side and very delicious I asked! Unfortunately I can't do spicy foods anymore! My food was really good also! We were able to enjoy the food and visit together. We aren't ably to get together like this very often! I enjoyed the food and conversation with my family! First of all, I have to give major thanks for having a gluten free menu. That is HUGE. I have celiac disease and Chinese food is probably what I miss the most. With that being said, I want to give a suggestion. I noticed that your gluten free meals have an extremely thin, watery consistency sauce. Obviously flour cannot be used to thicken up the sauces and gravies, but I wondered if you were aware of using cornstarch (which is 100% gluten free!) It would make such a big difference to these dishes for us gluten free folks. It will thicken up the sauces so nicely and make these meals even more delicious and "normal" tasting. :) read more

I ordered pad thai takeout. They asked spicy level 1-10, and I ordered an 8 thinking it would be pretty spicy. It was not spicy at all and the meal tasted very strongly of fish sauce, which over powered the entire dish. I tried adding some lime juice and crushed red peppers, but the fish taste was too strong to stomach, so it went in the trash. read more
