Yum!! The meal was so refreshing! I'm generally more nutritionally efficient so prioritized protein but the salad with the salmon was a nice balance! The flavors were all so perfect. I'd definitely come back to because it's really peaceful and they have calming music playing. Nice atmosphere for solo dates too if you're like me and eat out alone sometimes!

My 7 year old daughter and I walked into Wild Ginger for the first time this evening. When we sat down, she said "I give this place 5-stars. The music sounds French. It was just nice dinner music. Our server was very attentive and gave us suggestions. We enjoyed the General Tso's Chicken -Not Spicy (because even mild has a little spice). It was delicious and possibly the best General Tso's Iwe've ever eaten. We also ordered the Shrimp Tempura Roll and the Rock and Roll. I preferred the Rock and Roll. My daughter tried both rolls but didn't care for either. I'm just proud that she tried something different.

Wild Ginger is one of the better rated Asian restaurants on the west side of Columbus, so we gave it a try for lunch when we were in the area. They have a huge menu, including lunch specials from 11am-3pm Monday through Saturday. I tried the lunch portion of the wok-glazed ginger sauce with chicken. Lunch specials come with miso soup or salad and white or brown rice, so I went with the house salad and brown rice with mine. My SO got the wonton soup and the two roll special for $15, electing to try the crunchy California and shrimp tempura rolls. The food was ready quickly, and the portions were much bigger than I'd expect for the typical lunch entree. My wok-glazed ginger chicken was alright, and loaded with vegetables. In hindsight, I would've tried a different sauce. My SO really enjoyed the wonton soup and sushi though, so I'm splitting the difference and giving Wild Ginger 4 stars.

Came back for dinner the other. And it was crowded but we got seated within 10 minutes. I love their shrimp tempura roll and I also got their pad Thai. It was so flavorful and the portion was very big!

This was a disappointing outing. Food did not live up to expectations at all. House salads were drowning in dressing. Sushi did not taste very fresh. Both Sichuan and Kung Pao chicken entrees had rubbery, flavorless chicken. Fried rice was also very bland. Maybe it was an off night, but would not be back to find out.

Everyone enjoyed their different entrees & apps of spring rolls & edamame. Everything was fresh and tasty, but sauces can overwhelm main ingredients. Entrees include soup or salad with too much ginger dressing. Lots of sushi options. The service was great on a busy Saturday evening. All staff and manager were friendly and welcoming. Would come back.

My wife and I were slightly overwhelmed with the selection of restaurants to pick from in this part of Columbus while passing through on our drive to the west coast. After checking Yelp, we selected Wild Ginger for dinner and we're very happy we did. On the outside, it looks like any other restaurant in your typical strip shopping center but there is a vestibule you pass through to enter another world. The interior is very warm, refined and up scale. The folks working here are super friendly and it starts from the moment you pass through their doors. We got a comfortable booth across from their full service bar that I don't think was open to sit at. It was a convenient spot to stage the plethora of carry out orders they processed. Our server was awesome. She helped us navigate their extensive menu of several styles of Asian food. My wife ordered chicken Szechuan with white rice and I opted for beef Szechuan with fried rice. Our entrees came with choice of soup and we both picked Hot and Sour based on our server's suggestion. She was spot on as it was very delicious. We both polished it off. Our entrees showed up shortly thereafter. Both were served temperature hot and spicy hot. I'd recommend backing off a notch on the spiciness unless you like it really hot. It is kinda funny how we both started sweating as we were eating it. The rice was served in a side bowl to easily mix in and help tone it down. All in all we were very happy with our choice to dine here. Everything was great and I have no suggestions on anything to improve. The only thing I'd do differently is order one entree to share as the portions were very generous and we couldn't take any back to the hotel with us.

I highly recommend the yellowtail jalapeño. (not pictured here) The sushi taste fresh and it's tasty. The respectful and polite staff made my personal experience even better.

We were the only ones in the restaurant bedides a bar tender and hostess. The grill was immediately turned on but they asked us to wait 10 minutes to see if anyone else would arrive. We agreed, placed our order and received our salad. The restaurant was bright, open and clean. This is our first visit. The ginger dressing was very mild, heavy on the Mayo and thin. Yet still very good. Our chef arrived a few minutes later and my husband's fried rice was the first item prepared. We both agreed it was excellent. Our chef's mastery if the twirling utensils was fun to watch! The salmon was heavily seasoned but delicious and still pink inside; just how I like it! Hubby's shrimp was lightly seasoned and delicious. Food was spot on, service was great and we were happy. Negatives: Egg yolk sauce rasted more like a fried egg not the artery clogging butter and egg yolk rich yumminess we were expecting. Sticky floors: As I was leaving the table, I noticed my shoes were really stinking to the floors. I stopped in the restroom and the stickiness was much worse. I noticed that the walls are stained black for the first 3 inches off the floor telling me they have been mopped using dirty water over and over again. The person mopping slops that dirty water against the edge of the floor/wall. That stain also appeared in the front entry. Other than the floor, the bathroom was fairly clean. We would return next time we travel to this side of town.

And for 4 people it was only $125 that includes 3 alcoholic drinks. I had the veggie dinner, they had the shrimp, the steak and just fried rice and salad. The seaweed salad was really worth trying. I would definitely be coming back. Thanks for a a wonderful experience.

The waitress taking the orders for us asked the kitchen about the gluten free questions my mom and I had. I'm more there for the show as much as I am the food so we had it done on the table in front of us. I'm not celiac so I'm okay with some cross contamination. Our chef came out and recited our orders and went over the allergy changes and the gluten free request. He covered all of them great. And it worked out just fine. Maybe not as fun as with friends, but when I went at two in the afternoon, I was the only person there. Service was excellent. The place was not smoky except for right at my grill. Standard KBBQ set up. You can also do hot pot. I got a couple of kinds of bulgogi, garlic chicken, brisket, pineapple, etc. They have the usual offerings. I did try their Siji Signature pork belly. And it was pretty darn good. I think it had been marinated. They also do a garlic one. They have a sauce bar, and a few appetizer/accompaniment things. I saw something new to me, prickly ash oil I think it was called. I asked, and the waitress said it was peppery. And it is indeed, but also with the numbing Szechuan pepper. Definitely a little tingly. You can dip your food in it, or I assume people cook in it too. Good, but not good enough to try again. They have a bunch of other sauces. The meats were all decent portions, and were tender and flavorful. The fruits and veggies were fresh and flavorful. The cost even wasn't ridiculous. $19 I think for lunch. I was out of there with a tip and drink for less than $30. It's far out of my way, and it has the usual KBBQ drawback of awkward seating up against the table base. But I really enjoyed it. And I can't find anything significant to take a star away from it. So five stars, and I'd go back.

We chose to do both the Korean BBQ and Hot Pot since we had never tried Hot Pot before. We decided to check out the sauce bar, which had 5 recipes for sauce combinations on the wall. Unfortunately, when I tried to make one of the sauces there was no regular vinegar. When I asked a server she said "oh I'm not sure why that is on there, we don't have that" even though it was painted onto the wall. This was disappointing considering I had already started mixing the sauce together so I had to improvise. When we went back to the table all of the food we ordered was there and it was A LOT! The portions for Hot Pot were larger than the Korean BBQ portions. I wish they would have explained this in advance because my husband and I would have split some items or not ordered as much. For example I ordered cabbage and bok choy, but received about half of a small cabbage and an entire plate of bok choy. My husband wanted to try some new items, and was given 6 pieces of sausage, 10 imitation crab sticks, and 6 large lobster balls. We wished we could have ordered by piece or in smaller portions. The broths for the Hot Pot were tasty. My husband for the pork broth and I got the miso. Both were yummy and worked with the items we ordered. We enjoyed the brisket but the bulgogi was a little chewy. We would skip this next time. Overall, unless you're incredibly hungry or with a large group I would choose Korean BBQ or Hot Pot, but both was a lot for the two of us. We enjoyed the vibe and the large variety of items. We will definitely be back to try other items!
