We went in winter but I'm sure it's packed in summer. The Crab Cake Sandwich is a must. It's actually full of lump crab meat instead of just being a bunch of breading and filler. We also got the Loaded Cheese Fries and they were total comfort food. The portions are huge, Great service and we even forgot our cell phone and they kept it for us to pick up. Wonderful group of people.

Since there were no available tables outside, we were placed inside in a corner table with no air circulation. The humidity felt unbearable and really played a major impact on my experience. I'm sure if I came during a mid spring day I would've had a better experience. Food: the food is the only reason I would come here again. I got a crab cake that was very robust with a fair amount of filler but had a good amount of real crabmeat. My son got the quesadilla, and it wasn't anything special. The salmon was small and flavorful. Service: also was not anything special or bad. Our waitress came by twice during our stay. It was a busy afternoon and she was working. It would've been good if they had more staff so that someone could refill our water more frequently. Like I said, the humidity had taken away from our experience. Overall, I wouldn't come here throughout the hot, humid summer months, but I may give it a second try in the winter or spring... maybe.

Our drinks were empty for most of the meal, and we had to ask another server just to find her. One of our drinks was made wrong, and when we finally got her attention, she seemed annoyed she needed to come to our table and actually walked away while we were still talking, which felt really dismissive. What makes it more frustrating is that there's an automatic 18% gratuity even for small tables. I ended up having to tipping $22 total, and for only seeing her a handful of times, it definitely didn't feel deserved. To top it off, when I mentioned to the head bartender (who was acting as the manager) that I wouldn't be coming back, he pulled $40 cash out of his own wallet and offered it to me to "give them another chance." It honestly made me feel so uncomfortable and was not an appropriate way to handle the situation. The food was fine, but the service and overall experience were not. For the prices and the built-in tip, I expected much better. I will not be returning.

I ordered the soft serve margarita but they were out of cherry so I settled for one flavor only to hear the server offering cherry flavor to the next table when they arrived maybe 35 minutes after we arrived. We placed our food order at 2:40pm. I received my margarita at 3:09pm. We received our food at 3:16pm. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was really good. The thick steak like fries were fine. We asked for the bill and it took about 20 minutes and she has to be reminded when we saw her walk by to bring the check.

Food was pretty good. I was in the area for business and…read morewas in the mood for some frijolitos. Without going to far from the hotel because of the DANG SNOW! I decided to try this place. I haven't had a chiminichanga in a long time plus it came with frijolitos y arroz so I ordered the carnitas chiminichanga. The taste was there; carnitas were tasty and the queso crema stuff they put on top was on point. Their salsas were a little weak; it would be good to have some spicy tomatillo salsa with anything carnitas. The frijolitos refritos were a little disappointing. There were mashed to a good consistency; too many whole beans. At least they weren't blended in the blender how some places do it. And gracias a dios that they weren't canned beans. NO CANNED BEANS!! the arroz was good. The atmosphere needs a pick-me-up. It was mostly because of the music. One would think a Mexican restaurant would play some sort of Mexican music. This place was playing instrumental versions of '70s classics. Please play some mariachi or cumbias or something Mexicano. I'm from southern California so maybe I shouldn't expect too much about Mexican food from Philly. And yes I hate the snow. If you didn't get my reference to chiminichangas, watch Napoleon Dynamite.

Bread pudding was a bit custard-like (I prefer hard, crispy tops). Anyway, the level of salt might keep us from coming back. It was very busy during our visit with customers dining in and take-out orders. It's BYOB and the server was helpful with bringing the glasses needed. The menu has plenty to choose from, and all the options sound delicious. We ended up going with the Sweet Thai Chili wings - delicious. The PARTY GRITS. All caps, that's it, that's the review - oh my goodness the grits were sooooooooooo good. From the LUMP crab meat to the salmon, seasoned and grilled to perfection... it was amazing. And to top it off, the side of fried fish (I had the Swai) was awesome. It was nice to meet Chef Reeky and give him his props for the amazing food and great atmosphere. It's nice that they have a variety of freshly squeezed juices available. I found this place looking for a brunch spot and Rhythm and Brunch came up in the listing but it may actually be called Chef Reeky's Cafe & Juice Bar. We found street parking in front. Overall a very positive and memorable experience - to the point where I may have to make it a habit to try something new every time I come visit.

Inside from front door. There is a small high top seating area for three that looks out toward the street.
