    bacon, eggs, and pancakes

Eh, nothing really special here! I mean you get a lot and you definitely do not leave hungry. It's just missing some good old love! The eggs came from a carton, the pancake was big and fluffy. The biscuit was just eh. Bacon is bacon, you can never go wrong on my opinion unless you burn the hell out of it. Service was ok but lacked the normal customer service I want when I am dining out. I definitely would go somewhere else for breakfast if asked to dine here again.

Hot Dog Special; jumbo-sized, comes with sauerkraut. I opted for corn fritters. Brown gravy added for the mashed potatoes.

The food is delicious, good portions and waitstaff welcoming and friendly. Rebecca's has a small-town cafe atmosphere and has decor of a cozy kitchen style, adding to the warm, inviting scene. After lunch there today, a woman was heading toward Rebecca's with her friend and said, "Now here's a restaurant with pretty good food." Perfect timing to hear an extra rave about this dining establishment.

Yumness ....fresh fast service and always lots to see...Great spot for pancakes and scrapple. Many of the ladies that work there as server have been there for many many years and known their customers by first name. Just a cool little hidden gem . Open Friday and Saturday only.

    Messy and unpleasant food.

She is brilliant and knows every dish and drink at the restaurant. Our first courses were the wedge salad and potato latke. Very satisfying! We ordered French Cut Chicken, Lamb Shank, and Buddha Bowl with salmon. Everyone loved their dinner. The standout cocktail was the pear infused Almost Delco. The cocktails here are outstanding! We went for my birthday and I was truly overwhelmed by the warm welcome we received here. I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was at the Pear. Looking forward to going back soon.

However the people (customers) at the bar were such bad vibes. We ended up sitting in the other room and it was all older couples talking so loudly we could hear every word. It was hard to decide what to get because there were so many cool unique options but I ended up going with one of the servers recommendations. The chicken was fantastic! But it was over this gnocchi that was not good... the cream sauce was OK but nothing special. Absolutely worth a try! This is a creative menu and unique spot. I'm hoping to update and give a better rating next time I try.

It's a pretty small spot with limited seating. Our table wasn't ready when we arrived for our reservation, so we had to kill some time at the bar. I had the scallop risotto, which was sooo flavorful and a generous portion. My husband ordered the duck frites and said it was one of the best dishes he's had in ages. Will definitely dine here again when we're back in town!

We were offered to have drinks at the bar but it was completely full. We went to the Mexican place next door to have drinks while we waited. It was pretty inside and a very chic/lounge vibe. Once we were seated our server was a sweetheart. I felt for her since an 8 person party was thrown in at 9:15pm on a Friday. She did a great job with our group! I didn't get to know the specials but menu had a lot of good options to choose from. Unfortunately they were out of the app I ordered but we were a late party on a Friday night. I don't know if it was a prep issue but I feel like for a Friday you shouldn't be out of menu items but whatever. I ended up getting the crab cakes and they were fantastic! For the entrees I had the filet with fries. The steak was cooked perfectly but slightly over salted for my taste. Lastly they have a cake cutting fee at this restaurant was approx $6 a person. Which we decided against because this night ended up being much later than expected with the reservation issue at Snuff Mill. Previously I was told $25 cake cutting fee. Also the table was charged for water (still "bottled" water). That is just bizarre. I totally get charging for sparkling or whatever name brand water but seriously. Overall the communication by management that night really let me down and my group felt more like a burden to this restaurant rather than guests.

First, the food was excellent, as it always is at this location. That's honestly something we've come to expect whenever we dine here. What really stood out this visit was the staff, especially our server, Jonathan B. We didn't have reservations, and we didn't make a big announcement about celebrating a birthday. Somehow Jonathan picked up on it and went out of his way to make my daughter feel special. Nothing felt forced or scripted. He was attentive, funny, personable, and seemed genuinely invested in making sure we had a great evening. Turning 21 is one of those milestone birthdays, and Jonathan helped make it memorable. The entire staff was warm and welcoming, and you could tell everyone genuinely cared about the guest experience. I also believe great staff are a reflection of great leadership, so credit is due there as well. Teams don't provide this kind of service by accident. It's clear there's a strong commitment to hospitality at this location, and it shows. Thank you to Jonathan and the entire team for helping make my daughter's birthday such a special one. We'll definitely be back.

Dessert was a scrumptious chocolate layer cake. Out server thoughtfully included a large candle and wished us a happy annivesary to complete our meal. The Columbus Inn is one of the "foundation" restaurants in Wilmington-traditional, with a decades long history of good food and service. It continues to update its menu and is one of the nicest restaurants in Wilmington. If you have never dined here, it is a delightful experience , if you are a veteran customer, you will continue to find excellent food served in a traditional manner with a nod to nouvelle cuisine.
