The decor is interesting with tables with orange chairs and others with blue chairs. Each table matched, but the tables had different colors. Sort of like NY Knicks or NY Mets colors. The menu is interesting as they have huge photos of each dish with a note on the side either written in Chinese or using the words American Chinese. There definitely are some interesting Chinese dishes on the menu. We stuck with the American dishes. My wife had the dumplings which were very good. My older son had the braised beef and noodles which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the beef and broccoli which was outstanding. The portions were very generous and the prices were extremely reasonable. It is a deceptively big restaurant so you should be able to get right in. Highly recommend.

The dishes on the menu were vastly different from what was brought to the table (dan dan noodles especially). The short ribs were brought out ~2 minutes after we ordered, which seemed like they had a pre-made batch in the kitchen instead of being freshly made. The flavoring was not as expected, it was more of a panda-express type of flavor. The dan dan noodles did not have the fresh meat on top, but had a dried pre-made type of seasoning instead. (Menu vs dish shown in my pictures). The beef noodle soup was mid, the beef wasn't the same quality as other Chinese restaurants. The chili wontons were good! I'd recommend that dish. Overall disappointing experience and it's unfortunate, because my mom and I were looking forward to coming here for her one night in New Haven.

If you are looking for the inverse, facebook is it. This is the greatest Chinese take out restaurant available in CT. I won't say in ALL of CT history because do you guys remember House of Chao (RIP). But the past is the past and SING Hee is the present. Sing Hee is delicious and reliable and the people working there seem INTENSE and work hard. You can see straight back into the kitchen they are working like no other. Young kids at the front counter askin me if Kirby want sauce, i'm like all I needs is hot MUSTARD packets. Bro gives me a grin like we're in Ocean's 11 and loads me up w like 15 mustards, ya boi stocked for LIFE. I get extra egg rolls because egg roll for breakfast microwave for like 30 seconds and DOUSED in hot mustard is the breakfast you wish you could have everyday but you can't because u have a heart attack or something. Most important is the Lo Mein is perfect, not too saucy, not too dry, not too oily. It's like the Lord himself made this Lo Mein. anything w broccoli is also delicious. Kirby LOaf needs broccoli like Trump needs a wellness check
