Here's what I had on this lunch visit: The crawfish pistollette (8/10) which was a small appetizer that was bread with some crawfish etouffee on top. I got the shrimp and crab gumbo, which is classic Louisiana gumbo and it was outstanding! The sampler also had a bowl of crawfish etouffee which was good but felt it needed a bit more etoufee to mix with the rice. Lastly, the special of the day was fish courtbouillon which was a fish in tomato based sauce over rice. The bed was nice and soft, pillows fluffy, and the bathroom was spacious. The gym was a typical hotel gym. There was an elliptical, bike, treadmill, and a bench with weights. I only used the treadmill, which seemed a bit old but did its job just fine. Downstairs you will find a Dunkin and pizza place. The Dunkin was perfect for a quick breakfast. The egg bites came out piping hot and were delicious. The latte was standard. The customer service was great. The pizza place is meh. Thick crust, thick layer if cheese, not many toppings. I would skip this next time. The casino itself was quiet but it was a lot of fun. I found a blackjack table and the dealer was super nice and taught me the rules. I had a great time.

There was also a persistent sewage-like odor during my stay. I reached out to the hotel directly with documentation (photos/video) but did not receive a response, which is even more disappointing than the issues themselves. We researched restaurants in the area, but most were closed or had limited hours on a Sunday. Umami was the only restaurant with good reviews that was open at the time. The food was ok. It was definitely better than Hana Japanese Sushi Bar & Grill in Natchitoches, but not as good as Geisha Sushi Bistro in New Orleans.
