We try to travel here every Saturday from New Castle, DE which is an hour drive. It is still so worth it to make the trip. Currently, it is busy at 10:30 pm and the wait staff is hopping with numerous large groups. Even with this onslaught the food was great and hot. Last weekend, after some birthday/St. Patty's Day drinks at a couple of places, we were in the mood for some food. My boyfriend suggested a diner and I was right with it! After looking for a while and seeing that there really aren't any diners left that were open in the city (what happened??!?), we decided to make the trip to South Jersey to this place. Drive wasn't too bad honestly. Pulling up, it had that classic diner look and the same inside - booth seats, bright lighting outside, etc. Quick service - we were seated immediately. Good amount of people were there dining also, but wasn't overcrowded. He went the breakfast route with pancakes, fruit and and meat omelette while I went with the greasy eats (Buffalo Chicken Quesadilla and app sampler). This is what one thinks of when asked to think of a diner. The driveway does kind of sneak up on you (you are on a divided highway and there are bushes!). The exterior and interior are both diner. No matter what this building may be in the future, people will see diner. The bathrooms I'm sure will remain snazzy with black and white designs. The food was very good, obviously cooked to order. We decided to try this diner while in the area, and figured you can't go wrong with breakfast! Let me say, our server was personable and efficient. She made suggestions and tended our coffees. But we both ordered toast dry, due to many places slathering your toast with 'butter' and making it soggy. Guess what? both of our toast orders were indeed slathered in butter. Next up, the omelettes. Mine was to be Mexican and his was to be Greek. They were both Greek. We dined here recently, I left a pair of pricey prescription sunglasses at this location. I have been calling every day being left on hold. I drove to restaurant today to check in person since calling wasn't successful. The individual at the checkout register was pleasant however when I asked for name of Pandora owner, I was told by evening "manager" the owner doesn't want name given out. That's absolutely absurb bcuz a simple Google search reveals the owner name. I felt very dismissed and do not believe any effort or concerned was extended. The exterior of the diner is very clean and has the look of an old time diner with it's high polished metal exterior... The parking lot is huge and they have quite a few disabled parking areas... The interior is very clean and well kept... They have nice size counter area and plenty of booths and tables... I had the Jack Daniels meatloaf with fries and onion rings my wife had the stuffed flounder with 2 sides.... We both enjoyed our meals and will definitely return.... Been here a handful of times on our annual Vaycay to Ventnor. Can't say enough good things!! Service has been wonderful and food is always hot, fresh, full of flavor. The pot roast is different than what we are used to back home in Indiana, but it is amazing!! Tried the pot roast grilled cheese last year and it was soooo good! We then made plans to bring more family members for a dinner last night, April 16th. Eight of us. Oh my. What the heck happened? My sister and my French onion soup had a sour after taste. We returned it for a salad. Three of us got variations of chicken and eggplant parmesan. Guys, parm is my go to meal at any restaurant so I have ordered many a parm in my time. This was the WORST parm I ever had! The pasta was cold and dried out/hard. The eggplant was hard and spongy. And the sauce. Not sure where to begin. There was a weird spice in it. My guess is curry? My brother got the roasted turkey meal. The gravy on it was neon yellow. We noticed it was the same yellow jelly consistency as my daughter's hollandaise sauce and the broccoli and cheese soup. And the meatloaf. Never have I ever seen a sadder meatloaf. A thin grayish slab on the plate. No gravy. The eater had to use some of our extra sauce that from the parm to put on top of it. I will say that my husband did enjoy his Chicken Florentine. For dessert, several of us had tapioca pudding that my mother said tasted mostly of vanilla extract. I do not know what happened. Different chef? Luck the first time? Bad luck the second? Oh! And thank you to the previous reviewers who mentioned that their crab is imitation crab meat. As I had originally wanted crabcakes, I asked the waiter first and he confirmed that yes, they only use imitation crab meat. Shouldn't they say that on the menu? Amazing diner to visit in the Willingboro/Burlington area! We stopped in around midnight for a late dinner and really enjoyed the atmosphere and service we were provided! This place was great! We came in here for lunch and was seated immediately. It was pretty hard to decide what to eat because their menu is pretty massive. We're talking more than five pages chock full of menu items, not just pictures. They've got breakfast, lunch, dinner, and desserts. We didn't get any, but their homemade desserts are so photogenic and look so good. Pictures attached. But anyway, onto the food we actually got. Since it was around noon, we went with their lunch specials. Got the Meat Loaf Special which came with mashed potatoes and soup (we chose Cream of Crab). Also got the French Dip Sandwich which was a beef sandwich you dip into broth. It came with fries and a soup too. Both were pretty filling and delicious. Awesome Food and Awesome Service! I had breakfast: hotcakes, scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon. Everything was really good. Hotcakes hot! Eggs fresh! Bacon thick and crispy! At the bday girls request we stopped in for a bite. The place looked dingy and unkept. A sure tell sign we should have moved on, but we stayed. Kara, our waitress was good, attentive & quick. We ordered the broiled seafood combo & 2 breakfast omelettes. After having soup and some of the seafood, bday girl went to the restroom and threw up. She let Kara know that she believed the seafood to be bad & cleanup in the ladies room was needed. Our bill was presented without deducting the awful seafood meal. The manager walked by and was told of the situation. His response was "well she ate the meal" ...never ask how she was feeling, and clearly didn't care that NO...she had only eaten a small bit of the meal. He has no sense of customer service!!! How you treat your guests is crucial to your success. His cavalier & disregard to the satisfaction of his guests was DISGUSTEDLY INAPPROPRIATE!! Instead of taking her entire meal from the bill, he nickel & dimed by charging for her bday dessert (one scoop of ice cream) & the complimentary soup, REALLY! For all we know, it could've been the soup that made her sick. It would have cost them NOTHING to just take her disgusting meal off the tab and APOLOGIZE for her getting sick from something she ate at PANDORA'S!!! Very disappointing response from management. Atmosphere: If you are looking for the most stereotypical diner in the land, you can't beat the Pandora Diner. The outside is chrome, while the inside is as retro as can be. There is a full-length bar with plenty of shiny tables and boothes. You walk in next to a giant dessert bar, and boy does it look good. It looks like they just ordered "retro diner" online. A big metallic and shiny diner? What more could you want. Coffee: A The coffee at the Pandora Diner was brewed hot and fresh and tasted great. I have no complaints. Food: A Whew, I think the Pandora Diner menu is the biggest diner menu I've ever seen, and after 400+ diners in the US, I think that says a lot. There were at least 4 pages of specials. I decided to stick to the specials because it seemed overwhelming to look at eight full pages of food. I think the Pandora 2 Diner probably has over 500 menu items. As you can see, they have plenty of options from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you can't find what you are looking for, I don't know what to tell you. I decided to order the apple gorgonzola pork lion since I haven't had pork chops in a while. It also came with two sides and soup or salad and dessert. It was delicious. There were 3 pork chops and enough green beans to feed three people. Despite running 10 miles that day, I still had enough food for two entire meals. Not only was it a substantial portion, but it tasted good too. What more could you want? How many times have I used what more could you want in a review? Service: The waitress was friendly, and the food came out fast. I have no complaints. Cost: $ For my pork chops and coffee it was $15. I've probably been in California too long, but I could not believe it. That would easily be a $30-$40 meal on the west coast. Overall Thoughts/Would I Come Back to the Pandora Diner? I really liked the Pandora Diner, and I have no complaints. There are so many different menu options I want to try. It was cheap, good food, and fast service.
