We had a total of 5 eggs, three potatoes/home fries, toast and coffee and the bill was $35. Mediocre at best I had to pay a dollar fifty extra for cheddar cheese that wasn't there and when I mentioned it the cook said it had cheese. NEVER AGAIN. read more

We came towards the end of the Sunday breakfast rush so only had to wait 10-15 minutes. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed but had pleasant attitudes. The food came out super quick but exactly as ordered. The service was friendly and efficient. They came around for coffee refills regularly. I ordered the classic Reuben. I'm not a huge fan of open faced sandwiches but this was tasty. The fries were hot and crispy. I really enjoyed the coleslaw. Overall really good food for a great price. read more

We did take out again. Taking a hint from my family, I ordered a salad. Wasn't sure how hot food would hold up. Pickup was straightforward. I had the chicken salad platter. I would call this salad serviceable. The chicken was muted to the point of unnoticeability. The vegetables were pretty routine fare, just about what you'd expect for this time of year. I've had breakfast here a few times and the breakfast was good. Today I had lunch again. As the last time, tasteless again. I had a meatball sandwich and a cup of cream of chicken soup. Lets start with the soup. Very thick and the only taste, was the taste of raw flour, which I assume was used for thickening. There wasn't an inkling taste of chicken. Then there was the so called meatballs. Small little tasteless somethings. Didn't even taste like meat. No spices or seasoning. The sauce was like it was out of a can. All this and an expensive soda, $19 plus tip. Someone has to sit down with the "cook" and actually show him how to cook. I won't be back for lunch and I'm sure I'll never be there for dinner. We stopped by for a late lunch today. Husband had a burger and I ordered a sausage omelette. I started to get a stomach ache while still there. Unfortunately, we live 30 mins away and barely made it in the house to get to the bathroom. Steer clear of this place. How can we both get sick when we ordered different things. I don't usually give a 2 star review but the food was below par.... I had the fried flounder and my wife had the stuffed flounder... Her food had no flavor and my fried flounder was plated on a wet bed of lettuce which ruined and wilted the food.... I like my fried food hot and crispy not soft and wet on one side... Also their tarter sauce and cocktail sauce aren't made fresh here, it's store bought and sealed in small ready to use containers... GOOD BREAKFAST The White House is a small mom and pop diner in Moorestown, New Jersey. Parking is no problem with its large parking lot. We came on a Friday morning and feel that the promise of friendly cheerful service plus a tasty inexpensive breakfast accounted for the good crowd of diners there during our visit. No one comes for the dated decor - a dusty garland over the register area and faded photos and drawings of The White House. We ordered the omelet platter, the pancake (3 pancakes) platter and the French toast (2 slices) platter, all in the $11 range. The omelet came with toast and potatoes. The pancake and French toast platters each came with two eggs, sausage and bacon. The breakfast was good - the pancakes were fluffy, the eggs were well prepared and the sausage and bacon were warm and not burnt. There were free refills of coffee throughout our meal. read more

Laurel opens up...??? drive aimlessly thru Philly looking for a bagel place that doesn't exist but finding my new favorite bagel place, The Bagel Place... Polishing off two bagels while meandering towards my ultimate Costco destination I decided to stop for some breakfast ( I really fell off the wagon and I wanted pancakes)...Looking for a most pedestrian IHOP, or Perkins, but, just by chance I passed TWH... This looked interesting, and as soon as I walked in I knew this was a local breakfast hangout with all the usual suspects manning their daily seats at the counter... I already mentioned my falling off said wagon, eating two bagles 30 minutes prior to settling into booth 1... Some of the waitresses were right out of Mel's Diner, one of them that I smiled at each time she passed the table wouldn't crack a smile, but my young waitress was most friendly and took my order for a short stack (3) of pancakes, ( I didn't want to be a pig) and sausage well I had some pig but that didn't make me one!... To make a long story a little shorter, I found the food to be very good, the menu had some interesting items that I intend to investigate now that I have set TWH as a great place for some tasty grub... The place has been there for years. A little cubby hole that serves decent food ....the staff is really nice. ..I wouldn't say dinner makes it . I have to say no, the mashed potatoes are boxed, not real... Breakfast potatoes are real i don't understand about serving boxed mashed... lunch is good . I wish the owner would stop using cheap methods...also in painting the outside. The store needs a new name for sure the paint says it all....Grey walls with pink window trim don't cut it. Would really like to give 3.5 because 4 seems high and 3 a little low. Stopped for breakfast and two things were great - kids pancakes - had a Mickey Mouse shape and plenty of food and then a vegetable omelette that was big and delicious. The egg and coffee special however left a lot to be desired. Scrambled eggs and bacon were very over cooked and bacon was almost inedible. Bacon and home fries has the stale oil flavor. The service was great and so nice, so I would go again, and stick to the omelette. Sausage and French toast looked good as we passed tables on the way out. read more

This bay have been a good diner at one time and I hate to give any classic diner less than a4 star review but this place deserves the 2 stars I give it. I had a typical breakfast...2 eggs scrambled, 2 sausage links, 2 slices of bacon, 3 hotcakes. We were served very fast. I know why. I think thebacon was cooked yesterday. I've never seen bacomecrumble when touched. Like a run pastry flake it almost turned to dust. Tasted like it. Eggs were ok. Nothing special. Sausage was from the economy selection at the cheap meat supply. Pancakes were not good..again cheap mix. Syrup was some variation of sugar water. Waitress was far serving us but didn't check back until we were ready to walk out the door. I finished my water quick then finished my friends water. Very disappointing. I went here with a friend because it was convenient. I usually go to the Cherry Hill Diner and now I know why. I ordered the Eggs Benedict (my usual) and let me tell you, it was NOT good at all. Burned muffins, over done eggs and not enough Hollandaise sauce. A group of us from work today went there for lunch. Our first visit, even though our office is just a couple of miles down the road. We were all very pleased with our lunches and the servers all get along great and work together to make sure all the tables were taken care of and our drinks were refilled as often as we wanted. They serve dinner too but they close at 8:00 pm so not a place I can eat on the weekends as I don't eat dinner weekends before 8 or 8:30 pm. I will be back for lunch again. read more

This place is definitely one of the better breakfast spots around. I love their coffee, and since they're always busy the coffee is always fresh. They have incredibly cheap combos and specials which is another reason I love coming here. You can get 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, sausage, and bacon for about $8 dollars give or take. They always cook the scrapple well done when I ask - most places don't cook it long enough. My favorites are the pancakes and french toast. Although they make a decent omelette, but their home fries are less than desirable. Actually, I haven't found a place that does good home fries. The service can't be hit or miss. Sometimes, even though they're packed, our waitress is on top of our water and coffee refills, and other times we don't get checked on until we're finished and the check comes. It really does just depend, but overall the service isn't terrible and it doesn't stop me from coming in. The parking lot is small and tight, but because it's usually so crowded you have to drive about 5 mph. Go slow and I usually park in the back to avoid the hassle of the front of the parking lot. If going for breakfast expect a wait, but it's worth it. read more
