back again! another delicious breakfast, this is becoming a go-to. thought I'd add photos of the menu

This is a potato skin minus the potato. WTH?

Ordered to go. Presentation was not good. The potato skins looked burnt as you can see in the picture is dry, looks burnt and there's no potato in it. SMH

My dilemma, dropping off M D W, at the airport at 6:30 am, with three hours to kill until Costco in Mt. Laurel opens up...??? drive aimlessly thru Philly looking for a bagel place that doesn't exist but finding my new favorite bagel place, The Bagel Place... Polishing off two bagels while meandering towards my ultimate Costco destination I decided to stop for some breakfast ( I really fell off the wagon and I wanted pancakes)...Looking for a most pedestrian IHOP, or Perkins, but, just by chance I passed TWH... This looked interesting, and as soon as I walked in I knew this was a local breakfast hangout with all the usual suspects manning their daily seats at the counter... I already mentioned my falling off said wagon, eating two bagles 30 minutes prior to settling into booth 1... Some of the waitresses were right out of Mel's Diner, one of them that I smiled at each time she passed the table wouldn't crack a smile, but my young waitress was most friendly and took my order for a short stack (3) of pancakes, ( I didn't want to be a pig) and sausage well I had some pig but that didn't make me one!... To make a long story a little shorter, I found the food to be very good, the menu had some interesting items that I intend to investigate now that I have set TWH as a great place for some tasty grub... The place has been around for about 40 year, and they know what how to dish it out...

When we arrived, the restaurant was busy, and we waited about 15-20 minutes after adding our names to the waitlist. Since it was a beautiful day, there was the option to dine indoors or outside. We chose to sit inside. My first impression was that the restaurant was lively and bustling, which made it feel like a popular neighborhood favorite. It also appeared to be both family-friendly and pet-friendly, which was a nice touch. For my meal, I ordered the Omelette & Potatoes with mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach, and onions, along with a side of bacon. The omelet itself was good, but the bacon was a major disappointment. It was extremely overcooked--so crispy that it resembled bacon chips rather than strips of bacon. My daughter ordered the Egg White Wrap with turkey sausage, spinach, and feta, along with a side of fresh fruit. She enjoyed it well enough but felt it was just okay. Overall, we both agreed that the food was pretty basic. It wasn't bad and it was nothing to write home about. While the atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was attentive and the service was pleasant, the food didn't quite live up to the reviews I had read. Unfortunately, I don't think it's a place I'd be in a hurry to revisit.

This place was a little hard to find at first because it's not easily visible from the street like the other shops. You have to walk down a pathway, past the outdoor seating area, and the entrance is at the left side of the building. My GPS said I'd arrived but I had to look up a picture of the place because it's in an old Victorian house set back from the road with a couple other businesses. Being set back allows them to have a quiet outdoor seating area with plenty of shade which you pass by on your way inside. Inside is very cute with much more seating, big bright windows that let in the afternoon sun and decor that blends the coffee shop seamlessly into the beautiful old house. I ordered an iced almond milk latte, my warm weather go to. The counter person asked if I wanted any flavor/syrup and, while I usually don't because I don't like sweet coffee, I acquiesced because she said she could make sure it wasn't super sweet but I still got the flavor. This was quite literally the BEST iced almond milk latte I have ever had the pleasure of drinking. The salted caramel syrup lent just a hint of sweetness but full flavor. The espresso was flawless. I sipped my latte while walking back down Main Street to my car in 80° weather with flowers blooming and birds chirping and it was the perfect lunch break treat. I will be back.

He used to say the eggs were fake and would refuse to go back to stacks. Well I popped in for the steak and eggs skillet. Not only do I think the eggs are fake but meat should not look like that. It tasted more like sausage than steak and looks like left over hamburger bits. I think they keep prices down because they've switched to the lab made crap. I don't like complaining about family owned restaurants but this will be the last time I ever go there. Sorry there are plenty of diners in NJ that use REAL ingredients. I can't get past this now.
