Whistlers has apparently upped their game the last few months. Food is plentiful and reasonably priced, as are the very cold draft beers. Most beers run around $6-7 a pint, as opposed to the Irish pub in Delran that charges $9.50. Service was attentive and quick. We sat in the front where it was much quieter, as the porch area was packed. Drinks arrived quickly. Waited a bit for the food on a Sat night as the place was packed. I had the shaved kielbasi cheese steak with fried onions. It was huge and very tasty. Took half home. Plenty of fries, well done as I asked. Wife's chicken roll up was a bit dry. Their wings are exceptional, the garlic parmesan as a nice kick to it. They still nickel and dime you for incidentals, like extra sauce. Glad to see an improvement as they are very close to us. read more

Came here on a recommendation by a regular I met elsewhere who raved about the wing sauces and nice crispy exterior and juicy interior wings. He was spot on! (Thanks Mark!). A variety of sauces that can be combined as your heart desires. The hot and honey was stellar! The service was five stars with no less than four servers checking during our visit to law sure we were ok. A great place to chill out, watch some sports from the outdoor deck and bar as well as get some great food. Very reasonably priced with a nice menu which includes great comfort food. When driving this restaurant located on Route 130 South, it comes up on you quickly after a traffic light. Plenty of parking out back. The backporch area and bar is where most of the action is. There were 6 of us. It's a "seat yourself" restaurant, but the waitress helped us put some tables together since most of the high tops were too small or were taken. The service was very good. We had several folks work with us. I ordered the BBQ Sample Platter which includes 1/4 rack ribs, 1/2 pulled pork sandwich and 5 wings PLUS crab fries. My wife ordered the NY Wrap which she loved. Mine was excellent. Great flavor on the ribs, wings were the best I've had in quite some time. Very crispy on the outside but juicy inside with great flavor. My only regret was forgetting to mention Restaurant Week for my 10% discount. My fault. I'll be back for sure. read more

First, let me say that the food, prices, and service are always very good here. This review pertains to the manager on duty -- who was also the indoor bartender this evening. I arrived early, waiting for my family to join me. There's a heatwave so most the customers are inside. Thursdays are Trivia Night. For some reason the trivia announcer's volume was WAY over the top. Most (2/3) of the patrons were NOT playing. I know because I spent 30 minutes watching people from where I was seated. Once my family arrived I had to keep asking my daughters to repeat themselves - even with my back to the trivia noise. So, I asked the waiter if they could turn it down a notch. She said she would ask. 10 minutes later, after we ordered our meals, it was still quite loud and I walked over to the waiter and asked, again, about the volume. She motioned over to the manager/bar-tender who told me, "No, it's trivia night and that's the volume." I said, "It's really loud and most of the bar isn't playing" and he said, "Yeah, they are." I wanted to walk out before the food arrived. My wife chose to wait for the food, while the rest of us left, and brought it home. Thanks for ruining the evening. Our food was good, however, the service was atrocious. We sat at the bar on the deck and the bartenders were more concerned with the golf game on tv then waiting on us and other customers. We sat there for about 15 mins maybe longer waiting for them to come take our food away and give us the check after multiple attempts of trying to get their attention, to which one of them saw me wave at him and he ignored me and continued to watch golf. read more

The medium bbq wings were delicious. They were cooked well and had a great sauce. The french onion soup was average. Not enough cheese or bread but had a decent broth. The NY wrap sounded like it would be full of so much but there wasn't a lot of chicken, only a little honey mustard making it dry, and was missing the cheese. I don't understand the mid reviews for this place. It's everything you want or need from a neighborhood sports bar. Inside is pretty dark and chil, nice elevated wood booths opposite the bar. The covered back deck is where you find the crowds most of the time, split between the large u-shaped center bar and a mix of low and high top tables. Good local/craft beer selection. Nice enough servers and barstaff. Not super fast service, it's pretty chill so expect that. But the food makes it a real hidden gem. I don't understand why more is not said about the smokehouse bbq, all the items are excellent. The Cubano sandwich has become a favorite of everyone I've introduced to it. House-smoked Pulled pork and smoked ham with the usual fixings. It's absolutely incredible. They need to pay some influencers or something to hype it up because it would stand up to the test. Fries are also incredible. Battered style, always come out crispy and hot with liquified potato insides. It's a good spot. Has character. For DAMN sure better than 3.5 stars, that is just nuts. read more

As newbies to the neighborhood, we've heard many great things about Whistlers Inn. Unfortunately, the hype is just too good to be true. The only redeeming quality is the wings. We ordered the hot/honey combo and the bold eagle. The hot/honey were incredible- they reminded me of a General Taos flavor and the wings were crisp and tender. On the other hand, the bold eagle was just nothing we were expecting. Though, what can you expect when there's no description or heat level to be found on the menu? They were just too hot and that's coming from three people who LOVE the heat. Additionally, we ordered the Jersey wrap, the NY wrap, and the pulled pork sandwich. While the wraps were subpar, the pulled pork was just bad. To claim "award winning smokehouse bbq" has me questioning what I just ate. As my fiancé put it, it was like eating a freshly microwaved pulled pork sandwich found in the frozen section of your local supermarket. It was just disappointing. We were here again the other night, no wait, sat where we wanted. I would give this visit 3.5 stars if there was a half. There were 4 of us, my husband and kids. Our sons first time buying us dinner, it was exciting. The potato skin appetizers were not cooked all the way through because the potato was too thick so they were weird. Also 2 of us got the sampler platter thing with pulled pork, ribs and wings. It seemed like everything came without no or hardly any sauce besides my husbands wings were swimming. Large outside bar area with a decent amount of televisions Lots is tables so finding a place to sit wasn't difficult in the summer I imagine that would not be the case as the outside wall are windowed garage doors that open. Service was on the slow side for food as we went to the bar for our drinks. Ordered wings which were good and fries with cheese sauce but not a fan or the cheese they used. Wings were crispy with the right amount of sauce and a large amount of celery. Well Whistlers, you have stepped up your game. Last night we decided to give y"all another try. You did not disappoint. We sat on the back porch and enjoyed the end of summer evening breeze. The place was full. Servers plentiful and attentive. We were seated and multiple wait staff stopped by to check for when we were ready to order. This go around we tried out the ribs, Buffalo chicken salad (perfect) pretzel bites (basic) and chicken sandwich. (Bland). Happy to report that the ribs were flavorful, meaty and juicy. Again several servers tag teamed the table without being i intrusive to check on us. I appreciate this style of service,, especially in a full house. Great wings! Crispy, nice size, flavorful. Overall always a great experience at Whistlers. They've been in business for longer than we've been going. Service is great; someone checks in on you for your needs consistently and they seem generally happy working together. The place is huge, lots of room for outdoor dining or indoor. Great to watch something on tv and sit at at the bar to enjoy a cold beer or a drink with some food that's you'll enjoy. Well folks... I finally made it to this bar/restaurant. I stopped by one weekday for a late lunch and got exactly what I expected... A near empty bar, a friendly bartender, and the three people who were at the bar were as friendly. Large window surrounded the spaced out tables behind the bar, and a decent sized deck towards the rear... I was pressed for time (as usual) and chose one of their lunch specials instead of settling in for something off the dinner menu... For a quick inexpensive lunch, the pulled pork sandwich I was served was a bargain. While I initially stopped in for the wings that I've heard so much about, I was more than happy with the choice that I made... When I stop in again, I hope the wings are as good as the first meal I had. read more

I've been going to this place for a really long time and over the last few years it's really gone downhill. Each time I've gone recently it has been worse than the previous time. Huge turnover in staffing, I used to know or recognize most bartenders and the wait staff and I hardly recognize anyone anymore. The menu has gotten more limited and the food / service have not been good. Unfortunately today was the last straw and I won't be going back anymore. Saturday afternoon, mid day and the place wasn't overly busy. One bartender in the main restaurant and I had to get my own menus for a booth (party of 2). Sat there 10 minutes and she never came to the table. We decided to try our luck on the deck hoping that it would be better staffed and therefore better service, we were mistaken. There looked to be 2 women bartenders working, a guy (waiter?) came over to the table after about 5 minutes and took a drink order. He came back with the drinks and said he be back with lemons for the drinks. He came to the table and held out the palm of his hand where he had 2 lemon slices!! Are you kidding me? We then sat for 10+ minutes and nobody came to take an order. There was 1 other table occupied behind us and the bartender came to that table 2 times but never once came to our table. Meanwhile there were at least 7 empty tables that were loaded with dirty dishes, empty beer bottles and glasses that hadn't been cleared. It's obvious this place has slipped because that's not the way it used to be. As a lifelong customer it's sad to see what this place has become. I won't be back! read more

COPS CALLED OVER A DRINK SENT BACK!!!! I stopped in this place for a business meeting with my client and potential investors tonight. My client ordered a drink and after taking a sip he didn't like it so he sent it back. The waitress was kind and took the drink back. However the manager Sean came back to our table and insisted that we pay for the drink or he would call the COPS! Yes the COPS!! And he did! Cops came out and said that he did NOT have to pay for the drink!! This guy is a real scumbag! The owner really needs to bring this guy back to his senses or get rid of him. How did I never know Whistlers Inn?? We live about 20-25 minutes away and I've never heard of it or noticed it when I've driven by on 130. Today it came up on Yelp and we decided to try it. AND-- Omg, I love this place!!! I'll start with the staff. We met Ivy, our hostess who gladly showed us the different areas for seating and she waited to make sure I was comfortable at the high top table we were at before she left. She was so amazing. Our server, Julianna was a doll. I couldn't choose a cocktail, they all sounded so good so she told me her favorite, the Berry Cocktail, delicious, and I ordered the Smokehouse Sampler, it had pulled pork, wings and baby back ribs with garlic bread and it was all soo good!! A group of us went to whistlers to watch the Phillies game. Everyone in the bar was cheering but for some reason our table was the only table that was cut off from drinking. No one at our table had more then 4 beers before being cut off. We were all ignored the rest of the time we were there. Even before being cut off it was probably the worst service I've ever experienced. Every time I've been there it seems like if you aren't a regular they act like you don't exist. Came here on a Friday night at around 9. We sat on the back porch and it took about 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. Cigarette smoke filled the area (gross).. the girl brought us our drinks and then forgot about us for another long while. We ordered ranch fries to start, and they were delicious and plenty for four to share. The menu was just bar food- burgers, sandwiches and wings (none of which i particularly care for). I ordered the Buffalo chicken steak on a hoagie. There was a lot of chicken on it, too much for me but it was tasty. The server forgot to put in my husband's wing order, so he got those late. I was really about to give them a solid five review BUT I tasted my gf ribs and sadly , they are just not how I like my ribs! I know they have award winning ribs, but all I could taste was smoke- it over powered them, but they were cooked absolutely beautifully! So if you love the smoke I guess they'd be perfect. The wings (medium garlic) were AMAZING , absolutely the best wing I've had. They still had a crunch even though they were sauced. Came out hot and tender. The ranch fries were a 5! Friends, Food, and Fun! The standard for Jersey bars resides on Route 130 in Cinnaminson, and it's name is Whistler's Inn. There really isn't a single thing that I could say about this place that isn't positive. Been coming here since 2011, and have seen the bar change in appearance and with the seasons. As there are so many extra positives to the place, but I'll start with the foundation of a good bar, the food and drink. There is usually some kind of beer special going on, which are most likely $2 Yuenglings or Dos Equis bottles. Sometimes they even have craft beers for this price too! As for the food, with the relatevely new addition of the back patio smokehouse, the food has never been better. This past summer I had the treat of a $6 pulled pork sandwich, which had that smokey BBQ flavor that any normal human would appreciate. They also have the (second) best wings in New Jersey, even though they share the recipe with the #1 seeded Jug Handle Inn. If you enjoy wings from PJs or Buffalo Wild Wings, stay away from here because you'll come to the realization that your life's entire concept of good wings is a lie. The staff is also very friendly, quick, and know their stuff. They have the greatest waiter in the world, who I won't call out by name, but has been keeping my group's weekly Thursday nights filled with Yuengling for 5 years (260 check ins?) If you're looking for plans or places to take hopeful friends, Whistlers has you covered. Every Thursday is Quizzo from 8:30pm to 10ish. On top of that, they have an annual Halloween party and a Hawaiian Luau party in the summer with complimentary pulled pork.
