I wanted to have a panini at least once while I was in Rome and decided to go to this place on my last night there. I'm not sure if there are even words to describe how good the sandwich I had was. I'm still thinking about it. It was THAT GOOD! I also had a lemon tonic which was a perfect pairing. I had the tomato, mozzarella, eggplant pesto sandwich. The bread was crispy and the cheese inside was nice and warm. I was seated right away inside since it was raining and I was dining alone. It seems like a great place to have a date or hang with friends for dinner. I highly recommend coming here when you need a good sandwich.

Food was delicious, cozy atmosphere, service was great. The bread was perfection the perfect crust and soft chewiness. Down a small narrow street but worth the walk.

Confused at all the high ratings of this place. The food was pretty mid though service was really great, but definitely not five star. The charcuterie is cut incredibly thin and the cheeses on the board are underwhelming. The bruschetta is also literally a thin paste on bread. The sandwiches are all bread with only a few pieces of very thinly sliced meat. Not worth the price. You can pay a little bit more and get fantastic sandwiches elsewhere in the city.

Best sandwich of my life!! I really have no words except try this place! They have the freshest ingredients and everything goes together perfectly. We tried the X, T, M, and Q. Favorites were X and Q.

Sandwiches 'D' and 'Q' and the sampler cheese and meat for 2.

So good we had it for lunch two days in a row! In the heart of Rome minutes walk from the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Would highly recommended stopping on a trip.

Pretty awesome charcuterie that's close to Trevi. The variety is nice with artichoke, olives, meats, and all kinds of cheeses.

Looking for a quick bite to take with us to-go in between various tours of Rome, my mom and I made our way to Pane e Salame around lunchtime. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, but there was a bit of a wait, so we decided to do take away. We placed our order at the counter and paid for our sandwiches which were ready in about 10 minutes. For the price, the portion was massive, and the flavor was tremendous. I know that this is not the most popular "sandwich" spot in Rome, but I honestly felt that this was the best sandwich we had of all the ones we tried. Fresh tomatoes, and mozzarella with plenty of meat filling. The bread was soft, but held up to all of the fillings and flavors. Definitely add the spot to your list if you are looking for a quick and easy lunch in Rome.

Stopped by here when it opened to beat the crowd. If you come right after it opens will have to wait 30+ min for a table. Anyway ordered U and X sandwiches along with a small mixed ham board. Everything was fresh and good tasting. Wish the bread was a little less crispy and a little more Brie in the U sandwich as it didn't really cover even half of a half. Otherwise good!

An excellent spot to sit back, relax, grab a spritz, and eat some delicious meats and cheeses and breads...per the name. I sat outside on a lovely November day and ordered an Aperol spritz and small sized board. This place is a little pricier than other spots you can find around town, but its convenient location, great service, and overall ambiance make it a can't-lose. My board came with bruschetta, cheeses, fruits, bread, and great meats that were explained by my server. I would absolutely stop here again during my travels, and would recommend a stop by if you're in the area.

The food and service is excellent. It's one of my favorite sandwich spots.

My favorite sandwich spot for lunch. There's usually a line waiting for the doors to open at 12pm but it's worth the wait.

We had brunch here, they open at 11, we walked in at 11:03 and took the last table. I recommend coming right at opening, or expect a wait. People were queuing for over 10 minutes for tables 10 minutes after they opened ! We were satisfied with our selection, the bread, meat, and cheese all tasted so fresh. Service was good, they took our order at the table. They accept credit/debit cards.

We had two panini sandwiches at this restaurant. We ordered our sandwiches slightly modified to accommodate for cheese. We had the cured beef, arugula, tomato added eggplant and zucchini panini with an aperol spritz. Everything was absolutely delicious! We sat inside and enjoyed watching the servers interact with the public. The place looks is nice, good decor slightly traditional but with a more local upbeat feel. Absolutely recommend this place, very affordable too!

Amazingly delicious and affordable. I ordered the smoked ham with smoked cheese arugula and other toppings and the sandwich was huge for 8 euro. Easily feeds two adults if you share a board. I got the charcuterie board for € 6.50 and it was sooo good and never could I get such high quality tapas at such an affordable price. The ambiance here was amazing and I'll absolutely be coming back.

Best sandwich I ever had in my life to date! Eating it while sitting at the sidewalk nearby certainly added to the whole experience.

Great savory paninis, we didn't have time to sit down, a nice spot when you're on the go.

The edamame we had was soft and boiled/spiced to perfection. Originally we were just going to get a roll and a bowl but after trying the food we immediately got another roll. The staff was a whole new level of mind blowing. To start the waiter made us feel exactly where we belonged (even though we were a little underdressed for a classier restaurant). You could've just sat there and watched the bar tender all night, she looked like she was a professional I wouldn't want anyone else making me drinks. The atmosphere of the whole bar embodied a classic American jazz bar, even the other people and tables we were by were friendly and really added to the whole experience. Was very well worth the price and couldn't recommend any other restaurant.

A jazz club for American tourists…read more Okay, there was one Australian lady and a few Chinese. Everyone else was American. Prices are sky-high because this is a soak the tourist situation. Alexanderplatz which is the premiere jazz club in Rome charges $18 euros for a month membership - no cover after that - and $12 per drink. So once you have paid your monthly cover charge, you can hear all the jazz you want for free - or if need be for $12 euros a drink At Alexanderplatz, the performances are legendary with some of the most innovative and technically amazing musicians in Rome. We dropped over $150 euros at Gregory's. We got a perfectly reasonable yeoman guitarist. But nothing like the artistic lions that routinely perform over at Alexanderplatz. Now to be fair, we had dinner at Gregory's and we never eat at Alexanderplatz. The standard "sushi dinner" was perfectly reasonable yeoman sushi. There was so little of it that we both had to order a la carte dishes afterwards. The extra extras seriously expanded the final tab. * * * One argument in Gregory's favor: their bar is extraordinary. The bar at Alexanderplatz is mediocre. Gregory's charges top dollar for its bar offerings, but what they mix and what is in their bottles is worth every single euro they ask for. I would be perfectly happy to just go to the bar, and order a few premium beverages. I would hear my wallet cry. But I would know that I was drinking supremely well in return for my investment. Fortunately, the bar is downstairs from the club. I would not have to put up with the shenanigans in the club. * * * The problem with the club is the crowd. At most, one third of the customers are actually there to listen to jazz. The room is filled with tourists taking selfies. There are also hot-daters playing snuggle-buns. Many of them will leave mid-set so they can go back to the hotel. Gregory's is less about the music and more about selling happy memories of Rome. * * * Alexanderplatz gets a mostly Italian crowd. You are looking as musicians, music critics, academics, and all purpose artsy types - as well as normal Italian human beings who just want to hear fine music. The music is taken very very seriously. Yeah, there are usually two or three tables with good time Charlies who are doing the phone recording, party hearty thing. But this is 8% of the audience at Alexanderplatz as opposed to 70% of the audience at Gregory's. To be fair to the crowd at Gregory's, the music at Alexanderplatz is simply better. The jazz at Alexanderplatz is capable of transfixing even philistines with tin ears. Gregory's jazz doesn't put that much on the table. But the crowd at Alexanderplatz sets me up for listening to mystic, complex music with the highest level of attention and aesthetic receptiveness. The crowd at Gregory's just gets me irritated. * * * If you are in Rome with a hot date, go to Gregory's. Be prepared to shell out the bucks. * * * If you are in Rome with someone who can truly appreciate once-in-a-lifetime musical experiences, take them to Alexanderplatz. After you talk about the music for half an hour after the concert, You can still go back to the hotel. Just figure that the hotel will be the second best part of the night.
