Called several companies. one wanted a 175 dollar deposit just to show up. I by chance called The Glass Guru North, their operator was very polite and told me to hang tight, they would send someone shortly, nothing down, they wanted to take a look. Justin Hartgrove, the general Mngr came by, took a look at the problem, fixed it then fixed my sliding porch screen which has not been working for years. I asked how much did I owe him and he responded -" nothing, hardly any work at all." I demanded to pay him for his time and expertise and he accepted, quite frankly, too little. Should have payed him more. I am a retired businessman from Austin. This company is not into the fast quick buck, they are looking to do business with you for the long run by earning your trust and putting in the hard work, Old School. They have my glass business for life.

Work was completed on Jan 16th. It took less than 30 minutes for the replacement. Both the estimate person (I don't remember name) and installer, David Rodriguez were friendly and personal and answered questions in friendly manner. The price was more than reasonable and fair....Note: I am someone who often hesitate to get things fixed promptly because of the cost.

I am not usually one to write yelp reviews, but my recent experience with this company compelled me…read moreto share my experience. Glass Tex came to replace a window pane in our home. My first experience with glass replacement, I've come to find out this can be a messy endeavor - my old pane was shattered upon removal, and glass shard were sprayed throughout my bedroom and backyard. This would have been fine with some warning, or a prompt cleanup. However there was glass left upstairs all over the floor and window sill as well as outside. Additionally, the repairman, mid repair, had cut himself pretty badly. I get that this can happen, but it was an awkward situation that wasn't dealt with well. The repair took much longer than was stated as well- forcing me to be late for work. When the window finally got in, and I was able to leave, I told the repairman to leave the upstairs mess - not that big of a deal. He stated he would surely be able to clean up the glass outside, but that did not happen. Many shards of glass were left outside. Most egregious was how the company owner did not offer anything other than a weak apology and to clean up the broken glass a day after the fact - like we hadn't already cleaned up our glass-filled backyard! So far the replaced window seems fine, but I could have done without the drama, or maybe some authentic remorse.

For prospective customers reading this, here is the verified context: Fraudulently advertising yourselves as a "James Hardie Elite Preferred Contractor" to secure the job, only to systemically violate the manufacturer's strict installation guidelines, is not a "punch-list" oversight--it is deceptive marketing and a material breach of contract. Puncturing an internal PVC plumbing pipe, illegally wrapping it in black duct tape, and immediately hiding it behind the new siding is not a 'punch-list' item - it is active fraudulent concealment. The 'Fraudulent' Financing: We authorized the payment because they claimed to follow actively concealed the duct-taped plumbing. Inducing a customer to authorize a loan by hiding severe damage is the legal definition of fraudulent concealment. Contradictory Public Statements & The BBB Complaint: JP Exteriors is using public platforms to feign cooperation. On our active BBB complaint, they claim they are waiting for our independent inspection report before taking action. However, their own written record proves they inspected the property themselves on June 11th and issued a superficial patching offer on June 22nd. The very next day, they explicitly stated in writing they were not willing to expand their scope to a full replacement, formally refusing to cure the hidden defects before our third-party inspection was even conducted on June 24th. The 42-page independent inspection report, which we received on June 29, definitively confirms that the widespread, concealed code violations and structural deficiencies cannot be resolved through superficial patching. The report details systemic failures, including improperly installed weather-resistant barriers, missing flashings, overdriven fasteners, damaged boards, unsealed wall penetrations, and an internal PVC plumbing pipe that was punctured by a fastener and actively concealed with black duct tape. The Manufacturer's Involvement: James Hardie is indeed involved, to the extent that the manufacturer offered to provide free replacement materials to JP Exteriors so they could execute a proper rework. JP Exteriors leadership actively refused this offer. We stand entirely by our documented evidence, our 42-page forensic inspection report, and our active fraud dispute with the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division. The video proof of punctured plumbing remain on this review.
