I arrived at 5pm to have dinner & the restaurant had only 1 kiosk working to order food & a sign stating no attendants available at the cash register. The kiosk was very complicated in trying to order a " pick two" dinner & it took me 10 minutes to submit my order. There was a line to use the 1 operating kiosk. There were 4-6 employees who were in the restaurant , but no one volunteered to help any of the customers. It was terrible customer service!! read more

The food is great; however, the service leaves something to be desired. We've only ordered from them twice...both times, we placed an online order for pick up. The first time, I checked our order before leaving the restaurant and quickly realized we were missing an entire sandwich. This most recent order, we ordered for eight people... And only five people ended up with their correct items. One salad was supposed to have no chicken, but that request was ignored. The other two orders were completely missing. We contacted corporate and we're able to receive a refund, so I appreciate the problem being rectified... It wasn't too busy when my wife and I walked in at lunch time on a Tuesday. We were greeted warmly by the counter employee, who also was patient in helping us through our menu choices. There were plenty of seats to choose from, and the dining room was clean. Our food took about 10 minutes. We both enjoyed our 'Pick two' selections. I had the new (half) Southwestern chicken melt with (half) Caesar salad. All of it was fresh and tasty. The sandwich is not exactly "stuffed", and the salad was small. I didn't really mind the austere serving, but like so many others have commented, it's a lot of money for what you receive. read more

Can't really speak on the staff as I placed my order online but I will say the rapid pick up lives up to it's name. Within 5 minutes of ordering I received notification my order was ready for pick up. Tomato soup was hot and tasty and the greek salad was also great. I have always loved Panera Bread broccoli and cheese soup. The last few times I have bought it was from the grocery store. It was excellent; it had crowns and some stems. Today, I went to an actual mortar restaurant. I ordered a bowl to go. I was surprised it was more expensive than the store. When I got home, it was watery, I found one small crown and maybe one small stem. I actually had to drink it from the bowl. That is the last time I visit the establishment in Alcoa. I feel compelled to add a note about how great their bread is. I've been to a lot of restaurants lately that had poor quality bread. You can't underestimate how important that is to a meal. I've found them to be very consistent whatever town I'm in, and that's said in a good way. My hands-down favorite order is French onion soup in a bread bowl, and this location served it up in good fashion with great taste. The apple for a side is always a nice break from the standard fries/chips you're offered in a Fast Food Nation place. Service here was typically prompt, and wifi was working. It seems to always be busy here. Always. The line does move fast and the wait time for food isn't that bad. I like coming to this location and eating outside on a nice day. I love their ice green tea and it is so refreshing on the perfect day. I like how the calories are posted on the menu, definitely influences what I order. I wish every restaurant would do this and maybe it would make people more aware and decrease America's obesity problem. Most of the sandwiches are between 650-850 calories BTW, whoa! On my last visit I got the shrimp roll. I wish I got something else. The shrimp were large and seasoned with tarragon, but I thought they had too much of a fishy taste. It was also very messy to eat, the roll is tiny and does not hold those slippery shrimp well. The meal was served with a baguette and soup. I was perfectly satisfied with just the little cup of soup, my baguette, and green tea. After going to Panera enough times, I realize that it's a great place to stick with soup and salad and they do both well enough. In the past I've gotten the frontega chicken sandwich. Very tasty. I'll be honest, I rarely dine in at Panera. A majority of the time, I pick up my food because they've really made that so easy. I find myself going here more because I use their rapid pick up option. You can order online or from their app, pay and pick up without ever speaking with anyone. They label and place your food on a designated shelf where you can grab and go. Everything is made fresh and delicious. When I have interacted with team members at Panera, they are nice, friendly and attentive. Recently, my food wasn't at the rapid pick up stand because they ran out of something I ordered. The team member quickly got my order to me with the changes, (less than 3 minutes), and provided a free pastry for my wait. Excellent customer service on the spot! read more

This location was not that busy but it was trashed, napkins and food all over the floor tables are super sticky and staff sloppy( the staff was nice). The staff couldn't get our order right I ordered a soup they gave me a salad, my husband ordered baked chips he got fried chips. Once I got my soup it was so nasty tasted like water and soy sauce!
