I love Korean food. There's a few regular spots that I usually pick in Knoxville. K-Pocha is a…read morerelatively new entrant in this space. So, I was curious if this would be a new top contender. To me, it's not quite as good as the other options. The beef bulgogi bowl was pretty good and the egg on top was nicely done. But, I'd rank the taste/flavor as not as good the Gogi Korean and Won Korean. Also, no banchan (Korean appetizers) like Gogi and less appealing interior atmosphere. There was a smell of rank cooking oil that seemed to permeate the dining area. That bothered me the whole meal and made it hard to enjoy the food. Also, comparing K-Pocha to competitors, it's more expensive. If I am paying more, I expect it to be better. Service was decent and prompt. So, no issues there. Just not my favorite place for Korean food. Overall: It's just ok.

The cheese pull on the fried rice was awesome and the cheese fries have that artificial cheese flavor in the best way possible (like a cheese curl or whale crackers). Our server was more than happy to explain any of the food to us and was on top of our drinks. The decorations are pretty cool too and they play a lot of popular kpop music as well. Overall a pretty great first visit for an adventurous eater! :D

It wasn't crowded inside, there are a lot of seating options for big or small groups. Several tables could seat at least 6. Michael was bartending when we went. He did a great job at making us feel like locals! He was attentive even though it was quite busy from people coming in from the parade. The arcade area was pretty cool. Each side had a bar, but only one was open at the time we went. We didn't get food, but it looked like they had some yummy options from what we saw get delivered to other tables. The music was good. The people were friendly as well. This is definitely a place we would return to if we come back in town!

Give a 4 but was really thinking 3.5 stars just because of the food (I didn't order any drinks and…read moreit was a quick stop in). I saw the ramen on the Yelp pictures and it spoke to me, so I walked in and ordered some. You have to stand in line at the bar to order your food so that took awhile, but the food came out pretty quick. I wasn't too impressed with the ramen, and I've had ramen all over the world. The broth was good, I enjoyed the spicy flavor. However, having tomatoes in the ramen was weird and I didn't enjoy that. My biggest complaint is there was very little meat in the ramen, like 2 small chunks of brisket. It seems like a great place to have drinks and hang out, but as far as the food it was meh to me.

Large list of on tap beers, really friendly service. Didn't try any, but the ramen looks amazing. We will definitely return.

She knows the menu like the back of her hand--seriously, she's tried every combination imaginable and helped us decide between a couple options. Her recommendations were spot on. I ended up getting the Oh Boy half sandwich, and I love that you can order it as a half. I was torn between that and the Tuscan chicken, but I would order the Oh Boy again in a heartbeat. I also had the pasta salad with both ranch and tahini--such a great option because you always want to try more than one dressing! We tried the Southwest salad too, and it was perfect with the chipotle ranch. Another really cool thing is that you can buy their dressings or hummus to go, which I'll definitely be doing next time. I also had a mocktail that was super fresh and felt really clean--kind of like their version of a spicy margarita, and it was delicious. Overall, great food, great options, and amazing service. Next time I'm coming back for brunch (which is only on Saturdays and Sundays)!

We tried Tomato Head for the first time today and had mixed feelings about the experience. Service…read morewas fine as we were greeted promptly and our server was friendly and efficient. Ambience was meh with lousy (loud) acoustics. I could easily hear the crying babies from across the restaurant as well as the conversations from surrounding tables. Our food was fine. I opted for a sandwich and my wife had an appetizer for her meal. We probably would have opted for something more substantial but... The prices for pizza here are outrageous. On the menu there are several 14 inch pizzas that are priced OVER $40!!! Give me a break, I can go down the street and get a 3-course steak dinner for $39.99 at a really nice restaurant. Yes, I know that management will probably respond to this review crying about rising costs. There's just no way to justify a 14 inch pizza that costs close to $50. You are going to price yourself out of existence.
