Ordered 2 soups. Cashier verified the order before giving it to me and I had to ask for my receipt. With a surprised Look on her face said, "oh you want the receipt?" Upon check found I was charged for a total different order. After I went inside and complained The manager refunded the complete order and was very apologetic. Never been to such a poorly run Panera. We go often because it's convenient. Cashiers have a complete lack of training, can't find anything quickly on their system, and are unsure of everything. Drive through is even worse. Tables are Not kept cleaned. Coffee stations usually mostly empty. Interior looks excellent, location is great, and the food is excellent. It's all a lack of management and training. Hopefully they pull it together. Come on Panera, get this location fixed! The longer we stay the worse it gets. What a letdown, after waiting years for one to come to the west side of Bradenton, I travel to the Cortez Rd location instead of this one on Manatee. This location has a terrible front order taking system, your order get funneled down to a inside pickup window, so a bagel gets in line behind the order that was in front of it no matter what size the order was.unlike Cortez Rd where quick items are handled upfront and longer to prep items go down the line. I wish there was a way to give no stars because this new store doesn't deserve any. We went up to the counter - the only people there, & the young girl behind the counter was texting on her phone. She didnt look up at us, she didn't stop texting, she didn't say I'll be with you in a minute - she just kept texting. As I was about to turn around & leave, she went to the register. The coffee is self serve & the minute I tasted it, I knew it was sitting there for hours. It wasn't even lukewarm. We ordered 2 ham, egg, & roasted tomato sandwiches. Look at the photo of it. For $11.38, we each got 1/2 sandwich. It wasn't a good sandwich. I'm still in disbelief that we only got 1/2 sandwich each - it didn't say that on the menu. The manager needs to step up, get his staff to be aware of customer service, check the products that are out for public consumption, sample the food being served, etc. It's nice to have a Panera in the neighborhood, but, I won't be back. read more

Today I brought home a take-out order that was not correct. I ordered a roasted turkey, apple, cheddar half sandwich which turned out to be a roasted turkey and avocado half sandwich. The cashier got the order right but not the person who prepared it. I called the place, asked to talk to the manger and was told he (MIke) was not available. The person I did talk to, told me I could come back in for a replacement. But I could not at that time. It's a new location and I'm sure they are still training the staff. They need to check the orders before handing them out. According to the blank section of my receipt where it gets initialed and bag numbered, the order had not be checked. I continue going back because I love Panera and I'm hoping and praying for improvement. EVERY time I go there they are out of something and fail to get my order right when I pick it up. Went to Panera today and ordered a Green Goddess Cobb salad with extra dressing. They charged me for extra chicken, then I corrected them so they removed the charge. When I got home, I had no chicken and no dressing. I simply don't understand why the service at this Panera Bread is THIS bad. Someone do something. read more

This restaurant/ drive through is not my favorite the workers are not efficient and it almost seems they don't care. The food is ok it's seems like an easy choice but takes a long time to get even throughout the drive through. The food is messy and not very appetizing. Very convenient and fast in the drive through...but for a good reason. I ordered the most simple item- bacon, egg and cheese on a bagel. I received a bagel cut at a weird angle, with old hard bacon bits, and half a piece of cold torn up egg. It was almost laughable. I think a second grader could have made me a better sandwich. Extremely disappointed, this location could have been amazing had it just had even an ounce of quality in what they serve. Either they need better staff training, or a new franchise owner. I'd rather drive to the other Bradenton Panera location than ever waste my money here again. read more

I just went through the drive through today and ordered French onion soup. The cashier was nice but didn't return my credit card to me right away. When I opened the soup at home they had forgotten the cheese and the croutons! We love that Panera is located here but management needs to work with the staff , ASAP read more

Good food but horribly managed. Always out of menu items and won't allow you to substitute anything for what they're out of. For example, tonight I ordered an apple salad. They told me they were out of the baget That is normally serve with the salad. But I could have an apple with it. I said I didn't want an apple with an apple salad. I thought I would have enough apple in the apple salad. I said how about substituting any other bread. The clerk said I'm sorry I can't substitute another bread. I said you have other bread here just give me a slice of whatever. I don't care what it is. She said sorry sir I can't help you. I left. I'm done with this place. read more

I ordered food in the drive through and ended up waiting for it in the parking lot for over 30 minutes. When I got home the lettuce in my salad was so bad I couldn't even eat it. This is so unacceptable. Please get it together, Panera! read more

The restaurant is clearly new but the inside is filthy. Went for breakfast at 8:00 and there were only a few other customers inside, yet there was food all over the floor under every table, coffee drips on the wall, muddy footprints on the tile. Yuck! read more

This is a terrible Panera. Take my advice and DON'T get anything from this store. I ordered Pick-two lunch today that included summer corn chowder. Because of the cornonavirus, I drove to the store after ordering online and someone brought me my order. I didn't receive any chowder; instead I got french onion soup. When I called the store, I was put on hold and then hung up on. We will NOT be returning to this store, even after restaurants open up. Very poorly run. read more

We love Panera on Cortez but the new Panera on Manatee is terrible! The person taking our order mumbled so it was hard to understand what she was saying. We ordered soup and sandwich. Then went to find a seat and there was a dog inside the restaurant. No service dog vest. Are pets allowed in Panera now? We waited for our order and picked it up. The soup and sandwich was cold. Honestly it felt like they didn't even bothered to warm up the food. Maybe everyone is too new for the evening (5pm)employees to know how to run things. read more
