Terrible service. We arrived at 745pm on a Sunday when their sign clearly says open until 8pm on Sundays. We walked in the UNLOCKED doors and started ordering on the tablets inside. Once our order was all typed in, an "employee" with no uniform on came out after watching us order and said that they are no longer serving food, at least 15 minutes before they were supposed to close. Figured that if they weren't serving food they'd at least lock the doors and turn the tablets off, or at least put a sign up saying they weren't serving. read more

This has to be one of the worst locations. Only kids work here which they can't be very childish at times by screaming across the restaurant. Second I have the sip club so I get ice coffee regularly. Food - very good Service - Terrrible. Staff did absolute minimum to get by. No courtesy to customers. No smile. Could not move from behind the counter. Diet Pepsi was empty. I informed the folks in the food prep. I waited over 5 minutes for the issue to be addressed and returned to the counter. Oh, we are out. If anyone called my name when my order was ready, it was inaudible. I found my order when I checked on the status of the Diet Pepsi. Returned to my table and started eating. My wife's chicken avocado sandwich had no avocado. I did not receive my pastry. Back to the counter. Minutes passed and nothing. Back to counter. The young lady gave me two slices of avocado, that's all we have left, she said. The pastry was in a bag. Again no one could be bothered to deliver the food they didn't prepare correctly or have ready with the rest of the order. They all performed like those who can do nothing more than exactly what is expected. They could not read the room and realize how dissatisfied I was or tried to make sure that I received what I ordered and paid for. I will return to McAlister's across the street the next time I want something like Panera fare. It was a terrible experience I will not chance a repeat. Went to this location which I didn't even know was there. It wasn't really busy. There was a frozen lemonade special which was cool. It took her a while to take the order but I wasn't in a rush. I ordered summer corn chowder. The child wild rice soup was unavailable. I got it along with a cinnamon crunch bagel for later. It took awhile to get the food, due to them transitioning from breakfast. The soup wasn't as thick as it usually is. It was good. The baguette was the tiny end so that was disappointing. The bagel was good, just had it with butter. The frozen lemonade was good and worth the price Overall, the physical space was nice. The employees were friendly. Service was okay. Food was okay. This Panera is so poorly run it makes me sick. I have been here every day for the past 2 weeks doing school work. Every SINGLE time I have come, the management is chaotic, orders take 20+ minutes, and orders are incorrect (50% of the time). Knowing the nature of the beast, I decided to keep it simple today and order a hot vanilla latte. After 25 minutes of waiting, I went to the counter. 5 minutes later the man gave me a cold latte, no ice (????) Not only was my order wrong, but the man was giving me excessive sass for his mistake. First off, I suggest that anyone that would like to order food from the Panera Bread on Harrison Avenue in Cincinnati, never, EVER order delivery. The food is usually delivered through Door Dash and never ends up arriving on time or even with all of your food AND/OR they dump your drinks. This has happened twice to me. Foolish me for thinking that after a few months this problem has been resolved and we could try again! SECOND, and probably even more importantly, if you call this Panera to complain about not receiving all of your food or your food comes to you prepared incorrectly, the manager, Jason, does not want to help out in anyway. You will just keep spinning your wheels with him! He just keeps saying "It gets tricky" - because Door Dash delivers, "we do not have delivery here", "you need to contact Door Dash for a refund". I mentioned to him that Door Dash DID NOT actually prepare my food, why in the world should they be responsible for the preparation or, in my previous case, not actually receiving all the food I ordered. Door Dash is not packaging my food either. This time around I ordered the turkey avocado bacon sandwich. I customized the sandwich and removed the bacon, added extra turkey. I received my sandwich with a LITTLE extra turkey but with none of the condiments, NO avocado, 1 small piece of tomato and a little bit of lettuce "shavings" I described my sandwich to Jason and asked if Panera would give me a credit or something along those lines because the sandwich is pretty pathetic and missing so much and he gave me the same excuse - contact Door Dash for a refund, "It's tricky". I just went round and round with him again. I was so irritated that I finally told him "just forget it - I will send some reviews" and hung up. So with the delivery charge (that arrived 22 minutes late - even though my work place is right down the street), I spent $11.21 for the bare & pathetic looking sandwich!!! With not even an offer from their MANAGER to remake my sandwich or a credit given to me from Panera. What a waste! So fair warning if you order from this location (especially with delivery!) - I suggest you spend your money somewhere else! This location has nothing in stock. Maybe they were waiting for a huge delivery but I received a first hand experience as I sat near the pickup counter waiting for my rapid pickup order to be ready that I ordered online with a 5 minute wait according to the app. As I sat waiting, multiple customers were offered alternative items as they were out of stock. They let them order it at the cashier window, but then have to apologize at the pickup window as they cant serve the food they ordered....great inventory system! I was 10 minutes past my pickup time when my cell phone rang as I sat inside next to the pickup window. The guy was very nice but explained that Panera didn't have all the ingredients needed to make my orders. I asked him to cancel the order and I walked out empty handed. Panera isn't my favorite place, but we really needed something easy for dinner. I ordered online and went to pick it up. They were out of baguette as the side! (wtf?) I look through the bag and noticed they forgot the cookie I ordered. Went up to the registers and let the cashier know and she gave me the missing cookie. Got home & unpack everything. The sprouted grain roll we got as sides instead of the baguette was STALE. So hard, couldn't bite into it. The half turkey sandwich I specifically put as a softer bread because it was for my 19 month old daughter. They put it on a STALE bagel. Fix that by taking all the innards out and putting them into a tortilla for her. I had the Roasted Turkey & Avocado BLT. There was ONE (!) tiny slice of avocado and maybe half a piece of bacon. Seriously?! I had the tomato soup with it and it tasted much more acidic than usual. My husband had the Half Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and Cream of Chicken & Wild Rice Soup. I gave it 2 reviews because I did like the Baja chicken bowl however on the side I mean I thought for a sauce would be put on a separate little container, I asked for no red onions on my husbands sandwich, and I ordered a cinnamon crunch bagel when I got there as you couldn't order it online at the time I placed my order online this evening. I wanted to give them a chance as I read a bunch of other reviews. A little disappointed I may say. I am a huge Panera fan, was excited to have one closer, but I can't say anything good about this location. Everything from the quality, quantity, service and layout of this restaurant is wrong. They don't seem to mind their poor service, their is no excuses made or apologies for your order being wrong or incomplete. Food orders are always wrong and incomplete after waiting a very long time. I have been here now 4 times, and been through the drive through once and all times have been negative. I'm not the only one who feels this way in my immediate family. Grand opening- they didn't have souflees. Store opened at 5:30 and I got there at 5:45 but was informed that although the store was open the actual grand opening didn't start till 10am. I had a $60 order for home delivery. I ordered it online w/their app which was a great experience. It was delivered on time which, the driver was great as well. When I got the order inside I immediately saw that I was missing a mac/cheese. I called immediately and the manager told me he would send the driver back out. Two and half hours later, no one arrived. I called again and got a woman who told me that she would send me gift cards that would more than cover the $60 I ordered. I gave her my address and nothing....This was on August 30. I think Panera needs to take a look at the Yelp reviews they are getting for a store that hasn't even been open for 6 months.....When I can find a district or regional manager, I will call them as well. Sad, I really liked coming here, but I will not tip for fast food or "fast casual." Pay your workers well and help me know that you do by NOT asking for tips. This Panera needs all new employees. Their attention to detail is horrible. I've given them numerous chances and not one time have they managed to actually get an order correct. These aren't complicated or large orders either, the most being an order of 4 items. We're talking about a sandwich without an ingredient on it or maybe adding an extra dressing for a salad. I've ordered (and paid for) bowls of soup and received cups instead. I've also asked for additional cheeses or meats (and paid for) and didn't receive them. Panera is pretty expensive to not give customers what they're paying for. It's like no one there really knows what they're doing and doesn't seem to care either. Complaining may get you a free "You Pick Two" for a future order but when that's also going to be wrong, what's the point? The food has been ok but it's the same as any other Panera since the food is distributed from the same place. There's a new McAlister's Deli across the street from this location now. I have a feeling this is going to hurt business even more! I'm not telling people they shouldn't go here but more so as a warning to make sure you check your order prior to leaving, if you're picking up an order to go. This location has THE WORST service of any Panera I have ever been to. I have been here several times and have had the same experience every time. I have used the order kiosk and also placed an order with the cashier on separate visits. Both experiences were just horrible. After placing an order at the kiosk, you pick up your pager and wait for the order...problem is, the pagers NEVER have worked once! The staff places an unmarked bag on the counter, you have no idea if it's your order or not. Today, since I was the only one waiting, I asked the clerk if it was mine, she asked if my pager went off, I said no, she said then it can't be yours. I sat down and waited a bit longer, no more orders came out. I approached again and asked if perhaps it was mine and began to look inside. I discovered it was my order and she just shrugged. Told her about the problem with buzzer nerver working and she just shrugged. ( This was at least the 4th time this has happened) May water was missing from the order, so I asked about it and she just pointed and said you have to go pick up a bottle by the register. No signs indicating this was the case. The cashier gave me a funny look when I picked up my water and I had to explain that I had already paid. My soup was lukewarm at best, and the salad was horrible! My lunch was over $12.00. Panera is just too expensive to accept this lousy service and mediocre food. For $7.99 I can eat across the street at McAllisters and get a great soup and salad and FRIENDLY, efficient service. Panera is trying to completely removed the human service experience and friendly atmosphere from its restaurants. I will not be returning. read more
