The food was good as usual but my drink wasn't the way I wanted it. I asked for sweet tea and was given unsweetened tea twice. On my one refill it was made into unsweetened tea. I got up to get the correct tea and was given an attitude. 2/5 today for that. Hopefully my next visit will be better than this one. read more

The managers and staff are completely rude and unprofessional. The woman with the dreads was so offensive when i came in to pick up the half of my order that was missing. She said, " we can do it this time" and tried to say we weren't missing 4 items of an 8 item order that i paid for. She made assumptions that we were lying. I got an Arnord Palmer with unsweetened tea, and my boyfriend is a big fan of their sweet tea (he has high sweet tea standards). Because it's a chain, the food maintains a consistent quality standard. Service: 4/5 It's a bistro-style restaurant, so you order at the counter and get a number for food delivery. The staff are polite and helpful, but it's not like there is a lot of interaction. There are many tables, and I have never had to wait a long time in line to order. Food comes out very quickly. Customer service was terrible today when I came in to place a carry out order. One lady was up front working on drive thru and answering a phone call and completely ignored me. I believe a manager walk right by the front and ignored me. Another lady from the back came up with ice then finally acknowledged my presence. She took my order but walked away without saying a word while my credit card process. I had to have another lady print my receipt. I've never had such bad service here. We came at lunch time but this location was not super busy and they were prepared to handle a rush. Tips to make your visit a success: 1) Mix and match with a Choose Two. Can't decide what to get or too many options to pick just one then get two. I like the the ability to get both without having to waste food or miss out on an item. 2) Read the fine print. Premium items come with a surcharge. I was not expecting for such a large amount of premium items on the menu. It's almost unavoidable as are the expense they incur. I don't know why there is so many sub par reviews here. The staff is SO friendly and my food was actually super delicious. I had a spicy southwest chicken sandwich and their chicken tortilla soup and both really hit the spot! The bread was warm, crispy and crusty and the chicken was seasoned well. It was just an all around yummy sandwich. The chicken tortilla soup was creamy and delicious. Also ordered a sweet tea which was fabulous to sip on Overall i really enjoyed my visit and found myself wondering why i don't visit more often! read more

After waiting what felt like three or four years for this place to be built excited to finally try it out and have lunch at McAllister's. Always remember them for the huge big potato and overall serving size but I figure time and economy have driven them to instead give humongous beverages and shrink portions. As silly as it sounds could not find a garbage can anywhere in the place to throw away some trash we needed to. I was excited when McAlisters came to the West Side. I've enjoyed every McAlisters I've ever visited- except this one! I ordered a 2-fer a cup of soup (French onion) and a half sandwich (chicken salad) with a side of tomato cucumber salad. I sent the tepid soup back to be reheated. The microwaved croutons did nothing for the soup . There was such a small amount of chicken salad that it was hidden under the tomato slice. (See photo). I also had an iced tea and my bill was $14. I always expect high quality and a good quantity of food from McAlisters. And I get it at other locations- just not the one on Harrison Ave. This isn't a one time issue. I stopped coming to this store- I visit the one on Montgomery instead. Such a shame! read more

Walked in during lunch so of course it's busy. No problems, the problem is with the staff who wouldn't clean any tables even with a line out the door. After we ordered we were sitting for a good 20 before we even got our food(table next to us came after us and got their food before us) mind you it's sandwiches and soup. I go to the bathroom with my kids and come back to an empty table. Literally the only to be cleaned the whole time we were there was MINE?! And it was by the manager?!?!? So whatever food and drinks I had left were gone. The manager( old white man who cleared my table )was basically hanging over the counter while ordering. We visited on a Sunday. The manager, Michael Stocker was more worried about the Bengal's game than looking at us to take our order. He interrupted my bride's order to gripe about the game. Once we placed our order, we never received a number. After thirty minutes, I approached the manager who took our order and he replied, "I'm sorry. I don't know what they did with it" then offered us free VIP passes. Once he actually placed our order in, our food was to our table within 12 minutes. Not joyful about this experience. read more

It took 20 minutes for my order. The couple behind me got their order before me.. That is never a good thing. I tried the chicken salad on a bed of traditional salad. I had to eat it without dressing because non was put in the bag. The chicken salad itself was not good and I would not order that again. There was a young man with special needs who clocked in as I am waiting.. the ENTIRE STAFF greeted him with such energy, it made my soul soar! They gave him duties and he was so helpful. They are clearly still ironing out some of the kinks. My review is 3.5 stars. I called my order in. I wanted to take advantage of being able to picked up via the drive up window. The woman who answered the phone bumbled through the greeting. She sounded more nervous than anything else. When I told her I wanted to place an order to go, she seemed confused. It seemed like she had not been trained on how to take a phone order. After a minute, she told me to hold on. She had transferred me to another person to take my order. She was apologetic for the wait. She took my order, and instructed me it would be ready in 15 minutes. They again seemed confused when I was picking up my order at the drive up window. The food was hit and miss. For myself, I decided to order the Choose Two. I opted for half a sandwich, with half a salad. The Savannah salad was bigger than I expected. It was the size of a full salad at many fast food restaurant. Spring mix for greens was much preferred over the iceberg lettuce many fast food salads are made of. Lettuce, as well as other produce was fresh. The shallot vinaigrette was mild, with a hint of sweetness. Toppings were plentiful. My other half of the Choose Two was disappointing. For starters, the half sandwich was very small. The horseradish, roast beef and cheddar sandwich had me using another restaurant's tag line "where's the beef?" There was less than 1/3 of a deli size slice of meat of the sandwich. There were only three small pieces of onions as well. A mild horseradish sauce was all I could taste. The children's meal had four times the amount of meat, and an abundance of toppings. Suffice to say, the children's turkey roll-up, and fruit was another hit. Plenty of filling. Sauce came on the side for dipping. My son found it fun to dip his roll-up. If looking to grab a salad or kid's meal I would come here again. This is a brand new location and I for one am super excited to have it on the west side! I have not been to a McAlister's in years because of how few we have in Cincinnati. The food is always absolutely delicious. The spud and sandwich combo is the way to go. The sweet tea is an absolute must get. I enjoy the roast beer sandwich with the spud max. I have had a few other options but am a return customer for this. This location again is brand new. The building is stand alone and is very well done. Extremely clean! The patio which is where I chose to eat is very nice and has plenty of room. The only reason for a four star for now is because it is brand new. Their our side orders , I was getting for my mom to take home . Very small cups Example macaroni salad . I am very particular on how people wear their mask . Under nose dose not work . I been nurse 30 yrs , I am confused of why they think that is good enough . Especially leaning over your Sandwich. Overall professional . They have their own delivery vehicle. Got the open faced roast beef. Food was good but served room temperature/cold, some parts were warm, guessed they microwaved it because the bread was tough. The place was cold and the fans were on. It took 11 minutes to get my good and it wasn't crowded. They had more workers in the front standing around and one guy in the back microwaving. I'm very sad to say this location has gone severely down hill regards to overall service and cleanliness. The casual nature of the staff shows no attention to detail or speed. At 2 pm, 80% percent of unoccupied tabled hadn't been cleared from previous customers, leaving me no option but to clean my own table. My order was incomplete upon arriving at my table and after asking 3 times I finally received my final item. I won't be back. Sad that the management has let this NEW place go so quickly. read more

This location has really went downhill fast. When it first opened the service and food was very good. Didn't come during the pandemic but started coming again this spring when the patio opened. There was a noticeable difference in the service right away. Chalked it up to the pandemic but after several more visits over the past couple of months it's clear that this location lacks leadership. The employees at the front counter completely ignore guests and act put out when they finally do acknowledge the guest to take their order. Honestly I've never really seen a less enthused or interested group of folks in my life. Order accuracy is a big problem here, almost every time I've been here there was a problem with the order. Simple things like forgetting sides or sauces. And the food is hit or miss, sometimes good sometimes not good. Today I ordered the French Dip with provolone instead of Swiss cheese with a side of horseradish sauce. Well the gal was busy talking with her coworker about what they did last night while she entered my order so she didn't ring it up right. The sandwich had Swiss and no side of horseradish sauce. Not a big deal but it's just typical of how they do things here. The roast beef on the sandwich today was terrible. It was very dry and tough, very fatty and gristly. I left half of it on my plate.
