Based on reviews here I went to BFM. I was sad to learn they no longer do the fish sandwich. They do offer deli sandwiches, some hot (Italian sub, barbecue...). The person manning the drive thru was a part owner and very helpful. My pork BBQ sandwich was definitely house-made and as promised-smokier than sweet (the beef would have been the reverse). It was definitely the best drive-thru BBQ I've had with a generous amount of meat. The cole slaw was pretty classic; a little sweeter than I'd have preferred but still good. With a bag of chips it was a bit over $10 which seems to be market rate. Very filling. Next time I will order the mac & cheese as a side. And next time I'll go in. In addition to basic butcher shop fare, they also have ready made items (think Salisbury Steak, etc...) AND they also have a produce store with fresh fruit salad and a wine shop attached. We ordered catering from Bridgetown Finer Meats for an office luncheon. It was wonderful! We had the mini bun sandwiches, fruit, vegetables, pasta salad, potato salad, and most importantly the brownie tray! Everything was so fresh and delicious! Highly recommend. If you're on the west side, you know about BFM. I decided to stop in and grab a couple NY strips for dinner. I usually get my steaks at the Kroger meat counter but wanted to see if going to a butcher was worth the extra effort. I stopped at Kroger on the way home for some other groceries and saw that they happened to have angus NY strips on sale for less than the BFM price. I sorta had buyers remorse but crossed my fingers and hoped it would be that much better of a cut. It was. The steaks from BFM blew the Kroger steaks out of the water. It wasn't even close. Don't get me wrong, the Kroger steaks are fine. But BFM's we're just that much better. Like, obviously more tender and even just had a better all around meaty flavor. HOLY FISH SANDWICH. This is definitely the MOAFS, the mother of all fish sandwiches. It's pretty much as big as my forearm, perfectly crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside. About 90% of people get it on rye, so that's just what I did. Boyfriend got it on white bread, and both of us were too busy scarfing down our food to ask the other how their bread was. We asked for the jalapeno tartar sauce, and it perfectly complimented the fish. We were both able to destroy it before it destroyed us, but we practically had to be rolled back to my place where we promptly both fell asleep while Netflixing. We also grabbed a side of lobster mac and a cookie, which we glutton-fully ate later as a snack and a dessert, respectfully. The wait really wasn't too bad for Good Friday, there was practically none and they were getting to everyone quickly. I took my friend's tip of arriving slightly after the lunch rush at ~1pm. Get there early but not too early, and not too late or they won't have a sandwich for you! Parking seemed a little scarce (I almost hopped the curb into the neighboring business but realized it was barricaded and I probably wouldn't be able to get back out), but we were able to snag the last one in the back. If there's no parking in sight, don't you worry, there is a nifty little drive-thru window that seemed to be moving at a steady pace. Someone who was born on the east coast, where you cant throw a cheese steak without hitting a meat market , finding a meat market like this is a blessing. Most of the Tri state area, you will not find a good meat market. Most of this area is homogenized. Its all corporate meat. There are a few gems over on the west side. This is one of them. During the cooler months I do a lot of cooking. Cajun food is one of my favorites. The Andouille they sell here is great. Its sold year around, they have it fresh during the mardi gras time, frozen other times. They such a selection of other meats and meals ready to go. So it's Lent and it's Friday. I've heard so much about the BFM fish sandwich that I figured it was time to grab one. BFM is already one of my favorite delis - try their turkey salad, Cajun crab dip, or basically anything else there and you will see/taste what I'm talking about. Oh and they have a fantastic little wine shop now -- Caymus! But back to the fish sandwich. BEST FISH SANDWICH EVER. PERIOD. Expensive yes, but a meal in and of itself, and SO delicious. Came here for the Fish Fry, left here with a smile on my face. I don't venture to the West Side all that often, but am glad I made the trip to experience the culinary delights of Bridgetown. Located in a small shopping strip, Finer Meats is what I would call the "anchor store." Next door is a wine shop, a candy shop, and Jenny's Homemade Cookies. It's everything you need in one stop. My friends and I dined in for the Fish Fry, which we heard was legendary. I was shocked to be handed a fish sandwich that was big enough to feed two! A delicious, plank of haddock, battered and seasoned to perfection and placed between two slices of Shadeau bread and garnished with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and jalapeno tartar sauce. For sides, the green beans were fresh, bright green yet tasted like they had been simmering all day. The macaroni n' cheese was phenomenal: large spiral noodles baked in cheddar. The coleslaw was fresh, crisp, and sweet. We all ate in silence as the food was so good! Our evening was complimented when the managers came out and talked to our group, made sure our orders were correct and that everyone was having a great time. We were personally thanked for coming all the way out from Downtown. These folks truly appreciate their customers; they're food and friendliness are definitely worth the drive! Hands down one of the friendliest businesses around. Always greeted with a smile. Very nice selection of meats and their own 'homemade' items. The buffalo chicken dip is fantastic and one of my favorites. The number one thing I get there is the Amish chicken. Hands down the best and has ruined me and my sister - can't touch chicken anywhere else now - it just doesn't compare - you can really taste a difference. New Years had a prime filet mignon and OMG could not have asked for a better steak. Just make sure you know how to cook one properly. Might be a little more expensive but so worth the money. Just a warning - you will be spoiled after going here. They also carry a nice selection of local products and you have the produce and wine next door. read more

This was the only non-church fish fry I attended in 2012 and it was my favorite piece of fish! For $8, you get a giant, whole piece of fish with lettuce, tomato, pickle and tartar sauce sandwiched between two slices of Servatti's rye bread. To give an idea of the length of this sandwich the bread is cut on an angle in order to get the longest pieces. Really one sandwich could be shared and then you can enjoy a side of mac and cheese. This place doesn't mess around, checking their website you learn that it is best to call ahead and place your order and when you drive down the street you learn why. They have two policemen helping direct traffic in to this little strip mall and across the street. Entering the market, you encounter others waiting so make sure you grab a number and pay attention for yours to be called, because like a busy deli, they work fast to deliver great customer service. While there is no place to dine-in (it is a meat market), our group took advantage of the two picnic tables outside since it was a lovely evening. Then, we headed over to their wine shop for a wine tasting. If you're getting your order to go, I would suggest asking for it undressed so your lettuce et al and bread on the side and your fish is separate that way when you get home, it is not soggy. Part of me wishes I hadnt discovered this place because I am nearly sure I will be addicted from now on! I stopped in here because I was in the area and heard they were selling babushka pierogies, which i'd been dying to try. The smell coming out of the front door was enough to knock you over into a blissful meat coma. They have a great selection of deli meats, steaks, sausages, AND prepared food such as twice baked potatoes, pasta, etc. Their ginormous specialty burgers are to die for. Try the Oktoberfest! This is mainly related to their Lenten fish fry but I've also used their catering service and shopped in general and I would give both of those 5 stars as well. But as far Lenten specials go, they've got that figured out. I just wish I could get it year round. For one the fish is as big as my forearm (I measured). The bread, lettuce, tomato are all cut fresh. The tar tar sauce is the freaking bomb. The drive thru looks daunting at first but they're so efficient you most likely won't be waiting in line more than 5 minutes. This is my weekly Friday meal for the next few Friday's for sure. read more

What an awesome place! I just started going to a place here in cheviot but sadly they're closed Sunday and since I get off later in the evening during the week, Sunday is usually my shopping day. Anyhow, this place is awesome! Great up beat, positive environment. The meat is visibly fresh and they have a huge array of "ready made" items. Was just in the store for the very first time and bought several things including steaks, lunch meat, soup, bread and fresh fruit salad. We came home and made sandwiches to go along with the fruit. The deli meat was delicious but what had us shocked was the fruit salad. It's the middle of January and every type of fruit in the salad was excellent. We couldn't get over how good it was. Everything BFM makes is top notch! We buy their beef brisket and pork for smoking throughout the entire summer. The make great sandwiches and their big fish dinners during Lent are the best! Yes, you will pay a little more for their food, but you get what you pay for and they have a quality product. The staff is incredibly friendly, and give great cooking/smoking tips. They sell a lot of local products, which shows great respect for their fellow small business owners. They are also a huge supporter of school organizations/sports within the community. Ordered fish sandwiches, mac n cheese, green beans and lobster bisque today. Everything was incredible. The fish sandwiches can feed 2-3 people. The bisque is wonderful. I love living on the east side but I wish we had a place like Bridgetown. Luckily I am on the west side for work a lot. Wish I would have discovered this place sooner. This place is awesome! The wife and I called ahead and placed our order last evening. We both ordered fish sandwiches. We split an order of mac and cheese and also an order of French fries. People are not joking about the size of the fish sandwiches. We could have easily split one sandwich. When we arrived, we went through the drive thru to pick up the food. We did not wait long at all. This place runs like a well oiled machine! Terrific service! Ben was super friendly and even said that they exist because of their customers! Hard to find service and quality like this these days! Ordered 60 croissant sandwiches for a baby shower; 20 turkey, 20 roast beef and 20 corned beef. My wife called the day of pick up to see if condiments were included. Worker said all the sandwiches were already made with light mayo on all sandwiches (on corned beef?). My wife mentioned that she wasn't told that when ordering.
