I really like the food at Panera but they have gotten expensive. The ambiance is comfortable. There portions size is lousy! The salads are good but no way near full. Order extra dressing because what they give you is nowhere near enough to cover the salad. Unfortunately when you do that it looks like they give you even less salad because they put the extra container in with the salad instead of actually putting more in the other containers that are almost empty. For a company whose mission statement includes clean eating, one would expect a menu you that would include and make it much easier to find gluten free food on their menu. They have no soups to choose from, and they no longer have grain bowls. There are no breads, cookies, breads or muffins to choose from. When asking an employee why the menu doesn't clearly mark gluten free foods, I was told it's because they really don't carry many foods that do not have gluten. Shame on you Panera, 30% of Americans eat Gluten Free, I have celiac disease so this is not an option for me. I understand this is my medical concern and others may think it's my problem not theirs but I think it's time you take a look at this and at least make your menu easier to understand. Pepperoni and mozzarella on French bread? It was the most disgusting, pricey sandwich I've ever paid for. Tossed most of it out. Quality has taken a sharp drop at this Panera location lately. I pre-ordered a spinach & artichoke breakfast soufflé for curbside pickup, and they gave me a cold ham & spinach one instead. I told them about the problem, and they gave me $6 towards my next purchase (which didn't cover what I paid for the wrong one that had meat). I gave them another try (per their request), and my side apple was so rotted that I can't imagine they didn't feel how squishy it was when they put it in the bag. This was my first time at this location but I always get their broccoli soup!!! Mmmmm soooo good. This place is great if you're looking for a nice salad or pastry. My go to is the Green goddess salad with turkey substituted for the chicken. The dressing that comes along with it, is absolutely delicious. I'm not the biggest of the sandwiches, but they have a great selection of pastries to choose from as well. I like to go places and have a meal but also be able to have left overs ESPECIALLY if my meal is somewhere close to 20 for ONE. Left overs are very unlikely here. I usually get the twofer deal (half sandwich and soup. All sandwiches I've tried are great, and usually I get broccoli cheddar soup which is equally as great. The soups are almost universally creamed or with cheese. All of it is very heavy on the fat and sugar. If you're going to order Rapid Pick Up, make sure it's when the store is busy. This is the second time in a few months that I've ordered food to be ready during off-meal times, and this one is worse than before. I went in at 3:20 on a Monday afternoon, 2 days before a holiday. It was not busy. Not only was my food not on the shelf when I arrived (10 minuted after it was supposed to be ready), this time my order was completely wrong. My sandwich is on the wrong bread, missing ingredients, and the ingredients that are there are stingy. Clearly the person who made my order barely looked at the ticket. I ordered take out today after about a year... and Panera never fails to disappoint. $27 and the bread was inedible, chewier than a Stretch Armstrong, my Thai chicken salad did NOT have the avocado that I paid extra for and the Pepsi was beyond flat.
